No tash for me.

Any way to get this removed from the loot list. I have killed this mob 47 times and I have seen Every drop besides this. It being listed here gave me false hope of it some day dropping. After 47 kills I can confirm it DOES NOT drop, EVER. This makes me sad because I always wanted it but ooh well.

From what I understand, this weapon has been removed for DXXT's loot table. Guess it was too good to be true as a tank weapon. I guess it's not a giant loss anymore now that all the tanks are using BoWs and they're 2 handed, anyways.

This would be an awesome weapon to get a warrior mt the aggro. A chanter told me that Tashani creates amazing uncontrollable aggro, he once Tashani'd some mobs and we aggro kited them and the mob never even turned and hit the four melees on him once. I think the ability to keep aggro so well would greatly help a warr, and would even be worth the loss of stats.

If wind of tishanian is truly the proc, just remember one thing:

It's aoe and affects the user. So, Imo, kinda sucky proc.
mana conversion or tash
# Mar 22 2003 at 7:05 PM Rating: Decent
always go with the screenshot. it's very easy to misclick and add the wrong effect to the database.
Is the effect listed a mistake?
# Jan 07 2003 at 11:26 PM Rating: Decent
According to my screen the effect listed is Mana Conversion, the same as the manastone but the pic shows Wind of Tashanian.

Does anyone know which of these is correct?

I tend to believe the Afterlife screenpic, but I am curious for confirmation.

Thanks :-)

Bards..
# Sep 01 2002 at 11:48 AM Rating: Default
If a bard procs this effect, it will stack with the chanters Tash (it acts as a song, like Singing Steel Bracer DS). It'd be very beneficial to have a bard or two with this to help lower the MRs...

They fixed that, tash spells no longer stack :/
incredible!

Not only is it fast dmg/delay with a magic dmg add -- that has the best tash spell as a proc. Level 60 AE tash drops MR by 40. Single target level 60 enchanter tash drops MR by 39. Heh, enchanters don't even have to tash-i-cide, just let the MT go crazy a while :)
aggro

this is excellent if you dont have to split tank... just think that its a high aggro ae proc that, and this is the big part, doesnt break mez! you can continue to fight and gain aggro as main tank while others debuff the mezd mobs... thus increasing the survivability of chanters and shamen... enchanters should rejoice when their main tank offhands one of the puppies!

Im an enchanter. This effect isnt that super for a weapon effect. Has a few downsides that i can see. First off its an AE tash, meaning that everything in spell range gets tashed, including the person who procs it. Not to menchion that u might end up getting adds if not used carefully. Secondly, as an AE tash, it does not lower MR as much as the 'main' chanter tash. Really, us enchs really only use this when pulling a few mobs at once in upper end dungeons... I use it in NToV for chickens and un-named junk. Mostly with the desire to get aggro from them all and get killed, avoiding faction.

Plus side of this, well, its gonna have effect of AE taunt basically...

Tank with AA ability of AE taunt + this weapon (in an area safe to AE of course) would be QUITE nice for aggro control.

Chanters get a better single target tash at lvl 57 than this proc. Most chanters will tash everything with the single target tash so if this weapon goes off, it has no effect on the tashed targets....just pulls anything else that is close.

Just my 2 cents.

I think the chanters are just scared that they have a threat to their abilities now :) J/k, but really, it is a nice weapon for a tank to use.
I agree

I would rather give this to a monk or Warrior. This means that the chanter on raids will/might be able to have more mana if this proc's. . let's say 2 or 3 of your warriors or monks have it w/ a really high dex then huzzah. . .agrro city for 1. . .more mana for rune'ing and such for 2

I can't even think if any enchanter would object to allowing Maintank Ogre Warrior(having 4500+hp) with 1 of these in his primary hand, over a chanter with 12hps. Since he is getting beat. let him proc the Tash. I think every cleric would like the same idea... think about it who would wield this item, Chanters are too busy rune-ing, mezzing, hasting... play a few rounds in Kael at the least, and post again.

Face it, all of the major spells are going onto weapons sometime soon. Avatar went out long ago, and instead of make people shun shamans, it has freed us up from some degree of buffing now so we can slow, malo and DoT like we are meant to.

You want your only job to be Tash and die, wait on rez, reapeat? Then go ahead and whine. But most Chanters will be happy to see this out there.

By putting the major spells onto equipment, maybe our melee can eventually solo worthwhile. If they can, then they are more able to exp grind for AA points when not at a raid. This is all around a great item I would say. (though the AE portion is a little impractical for solo I s'pose)

I can't see anyone trying to replace a chanter with a proc. There is a big diffrence in using something like this to build agro and help out the casters (I can't seriously see this going to anyone other than a main tank. And I can't see the main tank using this for long. Useful proc, but once it goes off switch to something a bit more useful. Say something that dose damage.) and a chanter. You don't see wizards whining when a weapon gets a cool damage proc, or SK's whining when another weapon with a life tap comes along. Why? Because it helps them out too. This is another of those items, if a chanter knows this bad boy is going to be proc'ed early in a combat he dosen't need to stick his neck out to tash a mob early so the shammy can get his slow to stick. Instead maybe that chanter can start seiving mana a little earlier and save everyone from the headache of a CH. While the effect on this weapon makes it desirable, it dosen't diminish the enchanters role in any way.
Now if they had a weapon that proc'ed CH on self there may be no reason for clerics :)

OMFG it's not lore! Any dual wielding double attacking class will have a helluva time avoiding agro with these. Monks will need to FD every minute or so and Rogues evading constantly and Rangers chain casting Jolt lol. Too bad I will never have to worry about it /cry.
