Undertaker Lord drop

From personal, and guildmate experience on TLPs, this item only begins to drop off Undertaker Lord once servers are in Luclin and beyond. TLP players looking for this item in Kunark era will have to go after Drusella.

Admittedly, it COULD drop during Kunark but from my own experiences sitting in Howling Stones and from others that never saw him drop it during that period it would have to be extremely rare. Currently in LDoN era on Phinigel I've seen the Undertaker Lord drop this item 2 out of 5 kills which doesn't match my experiences in Kunark whatsoever.

Necklace of power
# Apr 07 2004 at 3:39 AM Rating: Decent
Just thinking here. I just did the key quest and remebered that the frog that gives the key asks about a neclace of power after he hands you the key. Well this comes from the zone he gives the key to and his master was a necro just like drusella. I will prolly have to kill her a few times to get my urn from the sound of it. If i get one of these im gonna hand it to the frog and see what he says about it. wish me luck i dont think npcs eat items anymore but i would hate to waste a good item like this. But if i get it once i can get it again.

After reading this I ran out and tried to hand it in to the frog guy for Howling stones key - he handed it back. I tried the other named frog close buy - same thing.. At least they didn't keep it or give me some craptastic itme back =P

Would this focus effect (Haste II) help to increase the casting speed of items with effects? For example, the Deepwater helmet takes about 10 seconds to cast. Would wearing the Necklace of Superiority help to decrease that casting time? I'd appreciate any information regarding this. Thank you.

Nothing changes the time an item takes to cast an effect.
RE: Haste II and items with effects

Incorrect. Cast times for clicky gear are reduced by mage-summoned focus rings and cleric's Blessing of Faith/Reverence line of spells. Both reduce my ES vambs casting time from 10 sec to 8 sec. As far as permanent effects, I have no idea.

spell haste 2 wouldnt help Kunark armor cast the cap for spell haste 2 is 44 and armor isnt usable til 45+ if i remeber right. Sooo in that sense I dont think it would but if you have spell haste 3 or 4 it should increase the casting speed.

Was previously using a Clattering Bone Necklace for my SK, which seems to be the preferred choice amongst the majority for that quality of item.

But when I ran into this little gem, I bought it, instantly. Clattering is 8ac 6str 6sta 30hp. I loose 3 raw AC, 1str, 1sta and 20hp. But I gain 5agi, 5dex, 5int, 10 mana, 5 to all my saves, as well as a focus effect that speeds up all my spells (44 and below).

For certain classes, like us hyrbids, rangers pallies and SKs, these things are mustard, it's got everything we need. I doubt I'll replace this any time soon, to be quite honest. They've come down in price, mabye I got lucky, but I got this one for 5k cash.

Awesome neckpiece, mostly for hybrids but great for all.
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 03 2002 at 2:27 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) As much as I'd like to agree with you on the hybrid part...this necklace would kick some serious *** for all classes...monks/warriors/rogues would all benefit from the +5 to everystat rangers/sks/pallys would too along with spell haste & casters gotta enjoy the same benefits. Relatively speaking, I don't think anyone who would look at this piece would decide to give it up, unless of course they had better...but usually not true.

Sadly, this necklace would be crap for a necro - black sapphire neck (65hp/mana) is much better simply for the HP. my 2cp

Now with focus effect
# Jun 05 2002 at 9:54 PM Rating: Decent
As of the June 5 patch, this item now has the focus effect: extend affliction I.

This means that all your level 20 and lower DoT's and debuffs will last 20% longer.

I can only assume that VI considers this to be a twink item, which flys in the face of the average level of 50 of the 169 characters registered here as wearing this.

Perhaps they used their RNG to assign affects to items?

This is much easier to obtain if you get her to drop the darn thing. Took her out with a group of 5 people: 60 war, rog, mnk, dru, 56 cle at 20m. The only downer about this particular camp is you MUST have a FD puller or the aggro from all the HT's will wipe you out regardless of the chanter due to some abysmal pathing at that camp. Tried again last night with 60 war, rog, dru, 58 enc, 56 cle, and 55 rog and w/o the FD puller the hallway we were in looked like a raid was happening due to all the HT aggro.
NToV requires a few highly skilled groups to just traverse through there. Hope this helps and good luck wishing for a necklace to drop )

Disagree this can and has been done by myself and friends without an FD puller. Can have my 60 war try his best to not pull the whole group, OR have a pally pounce in with DA rolling and pop it up soon as agro comes. If he is only person on hate list the agro will stick to him despite that DA throws him to bottom of hate list while activated. Chanter can mez one by one at will as needed with fast casting mezzes until gains agro, pally breaks DA and stuns/taunts off as the chanter uses AE stuns to drop others off of him long enough to toss another mez, etc. Need a chanter and pally who know how to work the game, but in no way is this not doable without an FD puller.

10k on veeshan, wothless now when one group can go camp karkona in WW and get 7ac 6 to all stats 30hp 30mana necklaces all day. two groups can kill just about any of the 7/6 dragons....except ionat, von, and anything else that might cast silence or have that damn 1288 damage gflux proc i.e. cargilia/von.

#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 17 2001 at 3:15 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I'd rather join a uber guild, goto WW whack a few dragons and get the same kind of talisman that is +7 to all stats, then trying to go whole way through HS and hope that DS drops it. Btw I got my +4 talisman from bravatar dragon first time he dead, talismans are common.

#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 23 2001 at 1:40 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) just to make you all jealous, my 52 druid friend won a roll on a talisman off dragon in the wastes, 7 to all stats, 7 to all resists, 30hp/30mana 7ac. If your on Saryrn send a line to Silveranthelas, for he is god with this item =-)

this is a very nice necklace indeed, especially if you play on a PvP server. Right now I wear a white gold necklace (5cha 7svmagic 7svcold 7svfire) but I would gladly lose the 2 per resist to gain the extra stats. *sigh* it is so hard to keep good melee stats while keeping good resists as well.
RE: wussness
# Dec 16 2000 at 11:49 AM Rating: Decent
seen better WHAT? Other then an epic weapon, I would say no item in this game comes close (found so far, anyway) to this necklace. 5 to ALL stats, 10 to mana/HP

There may be a couple (rare) items that have better total stats in YOUR class requirements (ac/int/cha/hp/mana, for enchanter, as an example) but if you only focus on a couple stats, you're not optimizing your character.

Dex/Sta/Agi/str -- all help combat, both offensively and defensivly -- good for all classes
ac - one of the better (not greatest) AC neck pieces in game -- good for all classes
HP - shrug...80hp = 1 hit in RoK/SoV
mana - shrug...10mana = not much
resists -- if you don't know the value of resists, I hope you're a blue server necro, or else you don't know the game that well

add it all up and what's it =? BEST neckpiece in the game for all classes, although there may be a couple pieces that are "better" in a few (very few) stats.

# Jan 23 2001 at 9:09 PM Rating: Decent
Well, I do have to agree that it's pretty great... but now all the named Dragons in Velious have their own talismans which are equal to this, if not better.

What I want to know is this... is there possibly a quest from the Storm Giant King (Or maybe Rallos Zek himself) that involves gathering all of those talismans? Wouldn't that be something to see!
RE: wussness
# Jan 30 2001 at 6:47 AM Rating: Default
Funny you should mention it... there is!!

The quest is given in Dragon Necropolis. You need to collect all five talismans to receive the key to the Sleepers Tomb. There is more than just this to this quest... Look it up right here at this site. VERY tough quest... but the loot there in Sleepers must be WELL worth the work.
It had better be anyways...
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 13 2001 at 10:35 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You idiot you only need to collect 1 tailsman to get the key to sleepers. But there are 5! dragons that drop the type of tailsman you need. Its just this site is to stupid to realize this and puts up you need 5 shessh.

In Western Wastes all the dragons drop a tailsman. Most of them drop +4 to all, but some drop +6 and +7 as rares.

yup. I have Jen's talisman and its +7 to all, + to HP/MANA. Very nice talisman.

What's insane is that the first-brood talismen can be better than that.

The draw-back = the dragon talismen are no-drop.

so there you go.

Jens is 6 to all but 7ac =)

The only 7 to all are the big dragons like Yelinak
