This belt is really good for most any class. Assuming the mob can drop both at once, would probably be fang to casters and belt to melees. What does a caster do during those fights when they CANT sit down? Well, why not walk up and melee the mob to proc for mana from behind. Nice for a necro who fear kites too I would guess.

IMO this belt would be nice for my warrior. You're basicly looking at a 15 ac, 10 str, 60 hp, +5 sv all belt here for a high level warrior.

This is good for any class really as it'll up your HP and DPS without losing much AC.

To answer before it's said.. is this a monk item? Nope. Would it be good for a monk? Yes.

To the poster who is talking about there is a lot of competition for the waist slot by the time you can get this, like a BoDS or lodi belt... you don't have to be in an uber guild to take out a 400 hitting mob with only 75k hp. We don't have any dorf belts or anything of that quality, but we can gather 30 level 58+ easily.

Just remember not everyone is "uber" just because they have a lot of 60's. This is one of those pre-NToV mobs in my eyes. Good for those guilds that are on the verge of pushing it to that next level.

A quick note, while it doesn't hurt sometimes to have casters melee it can be very bad on mobs that aren't very large. I've had to tell an enchanter and shaman (in bear form) to get out of the way while doing the Enraged Golem in Fear because they were keeping melee's from getting the best positioning.

My SK had STA maxed at less than level 20 if I recall, with shaman buffs on. STA is not equal to hitpoints at all, if your STA is already maxed.
#REDACTED, Posted: May 29 2002 at 8:21 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is a necro item by the time your in the 50s your int should be such that the 5 or so you have on a belt would be meaningless compared to the 10 sta thei has HPs are mana to a necro this would be a great item to have in a slot that is hard to put int in and it has ac and str as a bonus

/em Throws a Tomato at Majerus

Update:
I'm not saying that this wouldn't be great for monks, I just think that this would be great for alomst any melee type. It's much better than what my SK has right now. ALL/ALL means just that. Wt. 0.3 does not automatically mean Monk!

#REDACTED, Posted: May 28 2002 at 7:08 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Well, he's not entirely wrong about it. Sure, I'm probably some stupid n00b for saying that just because it has low weight, it's suited for Monks. Meanwhile, the strength is something any Monk should look for. Many create agility Monks who're more fit for soloing; when their strength is marginally above 80, they're not going to use their Adamantite Bo Stick to full power too often.

Monks over 55 need hps and resists most, so this belt is a great choice.

But to be honest I'd gladly wear this over Ax belt I wear now any time, so I wouldnt feel at all bad rolling for it.

As a Rogue I can certainly say this is an excellent belt.

The only real trouble is that there is quite a bit of competition for the slot at the time you are likely to get it. Belt of the Great Turtle or the belt of Dorf Slaying are both better for my class by a large margin in most situations, as are several others. Strength is largely moot and although Stamina is prized, straight HP is far better. The resists are a perk but Aura of Battle is only available in so many slots and this is one of them.

Still quite nice though indeed.
