Herald Telcha says, 'Here is your recharged ring, faithful minion! Return to me when you need it charged again, but keep in mind you must continue to serve us in our cause or I will not aid you any longer. Do not hand me your ring if you are not faithful to us, or I shall not return it to you again.'

I have a few of these rings on my toons (Mage/Necro/Monk) and find so far all other DS seem to stack. I was easy using this ring to get my monks DS total near mid 60s with spike potions and a few other Monk sell applied DS (Augs etc)

Mage DS total (Self cast DS + items + this Rings effect) solo over 100 points so nice for some faction farming or trade item pharming

This item has no aug slots, only the 2nd item I've seen without one.

Since you have to hand this in to recharge it, the dev team figures it will save alot of GM time if they do not give it an aug slot, since so many will forget to take off the aug before handing it in for rechagre and then petition to get the aug replaced.

Ok, an admin seems to say it is rechargeable? If so... how? What components/skills/etc would I need to recharge it?

In other words, hand it in to the Herald, and he will give it back to you with full charges.

Angry Goblin
# Nov 30 2003 at 1:33 AM Rating: Decent
I was going to do turn in to Angry Goblin. .to spawn Skargus .. when one of my group killed him... thinking it was a regular goblin .. Do I have to redo the 2nd part to make him respawn in 3 days .. or do I just wait it out.. meaning does he spawn on a regular basis without having to be initiated to
RE: Angry Goblin
# Dec 06 2003 at 7:51 PM Rating: Good
He is a normal spawn in the zone. The quest does not effect him spawning.

As of 10/30/03 This item does NOT have an augment slot...very disapointing seeing as even a cloth cord has an augment slot

Rechargeable items typically do not have an augmentation slot (wouldn't want to lose your hard-earned augmentation, would you?).
#REDACTED, Posted: May 13 2004 at 5:23 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Simple, make the charges infinite and add a slot. This is a pitiful effect to actually pass off and says it's a plus. If you could just use it as many times as you wanted it would be beyond great but with only 5 charges if you're not around chardok a lot, and with ally faction why would you be, then there's no way to use it effectively.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 05 2003 at 2:40 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) That is a quote that was blatantly taken from the matrix reloaded =P
PLing in Nurga
# May 27 2003 at 12:38 AM Rating: Default
i PL'd my bard from 35-47 to get ally status with a 51 druid. PLing characters here to start with in order to do the quest is an easy way to get faction and exp....makes killing 1000's of goblins much more desireable when levels are gained doing it.

so if u got a new twink, and think u want to do this quest...level in Nurga, no wandering mobs, and all mobs are in groups of 2 or 3
Damn spawn
# Apr 23 2003 at 3:50 PM Rating: Decent
So 3 days = 72hours and 10% variance would make it 7.2hours on each side of 72 hours. A 14.4 hour camp blows, especially after spending sooooo much time killing gobs. I've been there a few times after server resets to see other guilds get it though and got the 300 faction hit from skargus which is nice. Damn i want this ring.

I'm a 56 pally and was wondering what would the min. number of people I would need to down Skargus. I was thinking at least 4 with a cleric. That sound good?

Just helped a guildy finish this. He was 2 boxin his 52 monk and 56 shammy and i had my 55 bard. Skargus was a fun fight. It got a bit hairy at times, but we prevailed. So in answer to your question - it took us 3 to take him down.
Pally and War working on this quest
# Apr 13 2003 at 8:14 PM Rating: Default
My 57 pally is working on this quest due to walking with my friends 65 War throught the quest he is almost done as he completed all but the angry goblin which he is camping now but we did help a chanter who was 60 kill skargus actually he was 2 boxing me and he said at 65 his war was sure that anyone with sup heal or better and himself could take down skargus because the chanter was not helping much other than slow and he said when he did get hit at lvl 65 it was not that bad so he said once we partner his ring he will help me do the same i told him i prob would have to be there on that kill as before when i was a bot he only had me agains the wall clicking sup heal not doing any DPS or even using my more mana efficient heal over time spell so we prob will both have to be active and on the guy may take a lay on hands but this quest looks soloable to casters 65 ish and partnerable with any 65 melee and a healer who can sup heal now the only fun part will be when we both try to get spirit wracked cords and the ring hehe let you know how the actual battle goes faction was way harder for us due to killing many sarnarks in LOIO and in OT to lvl from 20 to 40 so that was a pain other wise a great quest for all Melees or casters in need of more HPS Mana points!

Funny how there can be an entire novel without one period in it, Yet there's one in his signature.

Should get the one in your sig to breed with other periods, then maybe you could punctuate your thoughts properly, without sounding too scatterbrained.

I get that alot! Sorry if that was confusing. I usually post at work when i should be working. So i am rushed to not be caught by supervisors walking all over the place and i usually forgo the punctuation in leui of getting the info in but noted hehe... I had the same complaint on my Guilds web site about my posts hehe. ... oh yeah item stuff Still no Angry gobo at this time. Some one may have been jumped ahead very possible still checking!
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 23 2003 at 9:03 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Completed this in no time we took skargus down like he was nothign i was actually sweating the battle but we both had virtue on at the time since we left grps from diff places. He got online and checked his bot he had parked in Droga to see if the angry goblin was up and sure enough when we went down it went off with out a hitch! He got his regal band and i even got rewarded with a valorium ring of gallantry he didnt need anymore for my trouble =)
Well worth the effort
# Jan 28 2003 at 2:09 AM Rating: Default
In my opinion this was well worth the effort and time for such a nice ring. First off faction was very easy for me (62 beastlord) I am sure its tuffer for others without pet but is still not to bad I got warmly in bout 10 hours of killing goblins in Droga. I mostly did circles from pool room to chief and got myself a stone of Morid as well (nice saves) no idol of thorned though in bout 15-20 kills heh. After turning in quite a few stacks of skins and salts I got my warmly faction and first ring then did all the turn ins but angry in like 30min, and a guildy had got the angry goblin and his ring and told me about when to check on him to be back up so I checked on him before work and there he was Skargus was pretty easy. Now I just need to finish my coldain rings and with Regal band (25) coldain ring (8) and my tunic (3) I will have a mean dmg shield of 36dmg with basically infinate charges. Mwaahahahaha and I laughed before when dueling melee based chars I cant wait to have fun with em now, gotta figure out how to kill the root dot/dd'ers and I will be invinceable err well tuff to kill I should say hehe.

I'm guessing you never hunted Sarnak's in your younger days. I started out max kos in Chardok and have been hunting here for many days to get to dubious (need to kill about 1900 goblins for that). I'll have to kill around 3200-3400 goblins total to get to warmly and close to 4000 for ally in order to do the final quest.

Oh well, such is life.

Skargus
# Nov 15 2002 at 2:40 PM Rating: Decent
Killed him last night with my 51 monk and 61 cleric. At the end of the fight had 50% mana left. MoK and MoR landed without being resisted. Long fight with just me doublefisting. Had around 40 mana left at the end, melee'd the entire fight with both due to heal aggro keeping my cleric from medding. Despair keeps yaulp V from taking hold or would have been closer to 60 mana left at the end, he'll try to run at around 16% life, but I kept him rooted till he went below 8% & he stood his ground and took his beatin like a champ. When you turn in the head you get a massive faction adjustment to Sarnak Collective, went from dubious to Amiable and it maxed my Di'Zok. Essentially all you have to clear is the roamers around the table and make sure there are no healers in the lower chamber or at the table and you got it made.
Another bottlenecked quest item.
# Sep 09 2002 at 7:48 AM Rating: Good
This item/quest is becoming increasingly popular for a lot of classes. Unfortunately, the bottle neck isn't the billion goblins you have to kill to get ally faction - it's the spawn time of the Angry Goblin (3 days +/-10% or so). He seems to die moments after server reset, and I've heard of people leapfrogging others, who were clearing their way down, to get to him. This sort of quest brings out the worst in people, unfortunately, and it's going to create a lot of friction in the future as more players decide they want this ring and the spirit wracked cords.
Warlord Skargus
# Sep 05 2002 at 9:57 AM Rating: Decent
We attempted this unsuccessfully on first try with just 2 of us, a 60 Palalin using discipline and LoH and a 54 Druid doing mainly heals and click "dot". We were able to get the Warlord down to 1/4 HP. An add aggroed the druid, which caused some distraction plus lost of time and mana to heal herself.

Skargus HT me for 881.

2nd attempt, we seeked help from a kind cleric by the name Mittu (47 as I recalled). She was gracious enough to help.

We ran back, looted our corpses, NO rezz, buffed up and went at it. The battle was an obvious win with Cleric doing about 4 Cheals on me.

aye...looted the head!

woot!

Thank you thank you - Mittu and Tienae of Drinal

This guy is pretty tough. I helped a friend on this today. He was playing his 55 Pally and 60 Druid. He was not sure of he could have done this and asked me to bring my 56 cleric to help. I had to CH 3 times and the Warlord is immune to stuns I learned. Otherwise, once you get past the 1k harm touch, we had about a 3 minute fight with one tank a cleric and his epic druid doing some nuking and dots. One thing I suggest is to take 5 minutes and clear all the mobs out of that area. The Angry Goblin walks up the ramp to a room with tables where the Warlord spawns. We had 2 small adds but it's safer to get rid of them than have a CH interupted.
skargus
# Jun 18 2002 at 9:53 AM Rating: Decent
ok, we were raiding droga the other day, and someone wanted our help killing skargus, so heres the deal. we had 2 51 pallys, 2 51 necros, 42 chanter, 2 clerics around level 45, 39 ranger. We took him down easily. i would guess that he had around 10k hps. he harmed touched for close to 1k to start things off, then he hit pretty soft, as expected from an sk, hehe... we had no deaths. Although, we started the fight with level 60 drood buffs, without those buffs, i believe one of the pallys would have died, as the SA seemed to take aggro from the MA. all in all, this guy wasnt the toughest mob to take down, considering his level. probably with one good group, level 53+war to tank, and then a rogue, monk, maybe a necro to dot the hell outta him, and a cleric, he would be very easy. hope this helps

this DS does stack with other DS's... it stacks with coldain ring and it stacks with mage/druid DS... only thing i can think of it not stacking with is the shaman potion DS...

the ring adds 55mana

How tough a customer is Skargus, and what's the effect on the Ring?
