Sorry bout the crappy picture I sent in. I have since dyed this gold and it looks Bad-***. You can see the designs on it now too. I still use at 65. I put on elysian tunic only when i need MR. This piece still rocks 15 lvls after I first bought it.
Friend of mine (who plays a druid, level 65 now) thought I was insane when I told him to get his self-buffed AC above 1000 (he was level 60 at the time). Well, he went ahead and did it, and has thanked me ever since.....the difference in damage you suffer at 999AC and 1000AC is VERY noticible.
Try it, you won't regret it...

It's common practice for a higher level Druid to get high ac/hp for good reasons. We do kite a lot and my ac/hp has saved me countless times on LD's, lag outs, and unforeseen adds (just popped, trained on me, etc.) As mentioned above, the hp are nice for AE's that can't be avoided, such as the dragons outside of ToV in WW, or resistable ones. It has a very decent sta/hp bonus and 30ac is one of the (if not THE) highest *droppable* bp for Druids. And one thing I've noticed about Druid gear is that it's high in fire/cold resist, but the MR SUCKS horribly, and PR and DR pretty much suck, but not as badly as MR. When raiding, I have yet to get aggro from a mob while healing while inc on mobs like Dozekar, who doubles for 900 with a 2 second delay and has to be slowed quickly or we lose a MA (Cll/Dru/Shm couldn't keep up with all that damage in the time it takes to deal 250k hp with a sick regen rate; we'd all go oom.)
So... I can definitely see a Druid wearing this. As a matter of fact, I saw one in the Bazaar last week and whacked myself over the head for not having the cash from buying a mushroom veil and dragonspine vambraces for a friend, ehhe. So it's not just something I'd want to roll on, it's something I wouldn't mind paying cash for.
ATM, I have about 1700hp and 830ac unbuffed, but that isn't nearly enough imo. Other Druids in my guild have well over 2k hp and well over 900ac, and every 60 Druid can't be wrong. 8)
#REDACTED,
Posted:May 22 2002 at 7:26 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) you would think people whould have better than this at the stupid reccomended level
At this "stupid recommended level" quite a few people are using a Treeweave, Barbed Ringmail, Seahorse BP, etc. With the HP and STA this gives, I'd put it above any of those.
No offense, but I can't think of a reason why a druid would want to give up stats or saves for AC. While it's true that druids do get swipped at occasionaly (say while kitting, or panic healing during a bad pull) the main thing I worry about is surviving AE spells and the occasional nuke. Most mobs can't kill me before the main tank can pull them off of me unless they cast as well as melee. So, while a druid that happened to win the roll for this perticular item might wear it (30ac might be a reason to wear it, extra HP is nice too), I can't see a druid going out of their way to get one of these when he could get something with stats, saves, mana, right-click or a combination of the above instead. (like oh say any Velious Quest armor, planar (yeah I know, good luck), tailored acryllia, or one of several extremely expensive droppable armors or one of many no-drop armors. Heck in it's own way a natures shroud is better than this.)
