A good friend of mine just gave this to me as a gift yesterday. Although the Int instead of Wis puzzles me (how silly), I'm enjoying the permanent See Invis and the MR. Considering that I only had a +2 Wis item on my neck before, talk about an improvement!
I will be heading to TT to get OS key shortly and came here to check out what mobs/loot is in this zone. Any loot is good, but this isnt very usefull. The AC is too low and WTF is Verant thinking putting INT on a shaman only item? Its because of stupid crap like this that I cant get my shaman to 200 WIS or better. See invis is nice especially since it doesnt take up a spell or buff slot, but if I get one of these it will be for sale in EC to some shaman who thinks its "cool". As Beavis and Butthead would say " Uh huh huh umm... this sucks".
I would have to say this is a awsome neck item for shaman. See invis permanent. The most important fact is the 25 svmagic. I have gone over 200 wis a long time ago and the item was easy to fit into my neck slot. I was doing the Seb keys for guildmates when this thing dropped. he was a easy kill and should be killed when a group is doing the seb key cycle. Any 50+ shammy in the guild should love to have this item given to them =)
I am confused (blonde moment), I thought shaman were wisdom casters? I understand the see invisible is great and all but why make an item that increases a stat that I do not particularly use? Just a wandering mind speaking drivle =)
Verant doesn't seem to pay a tremendous amount of attention to the "important" stats for any given class. Look at the 30-ish cleric quest armor (only quest armor for the 30's that I'm really familiar with as my cleric quested the whole set and is still wearing some). Let's see: Greaves of the Penitent +13 AC +5 Int +5 vsPos +5.60 Wt Chestplate of the Constant +20 AC +8 Sta +5 vsMg +7.50 Wt Gauntlets of the Ardent +12 AC +5 Agi +5 vsCold +3.80 Wt Boots of the Reliant +11 AC +6 vsDis +4.90 Wt Vambraces of the Fervent +11 AC +5 Dex +5 vsFire +4.90 Wt Bracers of the Reverent +9 AC +5 Wis +3.00 Wt (very nice!)
Only one item has +Wis (the bracers which fortunately are not lore, and so you can wear two for +10 wis 8D) The other stats are moderately useful (I don't care what other people say, modifying my dex by 40-some points hasn't seemed to affect my ability to regain concentration) +sta +int +agi are pretty useless too (ok, agi helps some, and sta gives you a few hitpoints, but gimme some mana!)
Got this item today when I literally bumped into Silvermane in Trak's Teeth. He was a level 50 mob (at least in this spawn) but was not that tough to take down. He didn't resist any spells and it was pretty much a straight-forward root and DoT scenario. This was the only loot he had on him...

I have this piece, and wear it often, depending on what I'm doing at any given time. The see invis is very nice to have in places like Velkator's Labrynth, where some of the mobs are actually invis, and the magic resist is a must in most higher lvl dungeons. Well worth the swap in wis in many instances, IMHO.
I think the idea behind this item is that by the time you get it you can swap out some wis gear for other stats. Considering the fact that all of the large races start with very low int this would be a great item for finally getting your skills to max out. Especially if your trying to develop a tradeskill for one of those multi-upgrade velious quests.

Its Stated That Whichever Stats is higher, ie. Wis or Int, is your primary increase for trades. so since all shamen have there wis higher than there int this items is even useless for trades considering the int, althou the other stats are phat
3 of the 4 bonuses on this are very good. The +INT bonus has me a little confused, but +15 MR makes this item a hugely useful one, once you get into your mid-40s and beyond.
You have a 'See Invis' effect which, either triggered or perm, is good. Add those throw-in INT and STA mods followed by that +15MagResist to the equation and you have one NICE neck piece.
I hope you were being sarcastic...that's the only thing i can think of to make someone say this is useless....I only wish Rangers could use it! It would make sense to trade the INT for WIS but when has Verant ever made sense? :)
