Finally got my drop tonight 01-22-2004 in Hate, after about 1-2hrs fighting at zone in got the drop off "An Eerie Chest" , so yes indeed the stone drops off yard trash.

'An eerie chest' is a minor named. It's placeholder is a haunted chest in a building appxomately p600, n220. There's another of these that didn't seem to exist in the old hate but is still a Tier 1 section mob 'a hideous rat'. It appears to pop around p350, n800 but I'm not sure if it also drops the SEoC sorry.

off a mob in Hate. I wasn't pulling, but i'm almost positive it wasn't a mini boss, as we killed it w/57 sk (me), 65 chanter, 49 cleric, and 3 other 49-51 toons, a single group. The mob didn't seem too much harder than a regular "trash" mob. I was able to MQ it for a guildy using the following technique. 65 Chanter pacified Treant, I opened trade window and did /hide until I conned indifferent, Ranger opened trade window w/rest of pieces, I hit trade first, then Ranger hit trade. VERY happy Ranger and VERY indifferent DE SK as I had been offered 50k and 51k prior to giving MQ to guildy. /shrug Oh well do favors for friends first I guess.

My SEoC dropped off Lord of Ire after about my 50th trip to PoHate, he spawned 2 times in a row, dont know if that has anything to do with it though. the first time he dropped a bloodmoon and the second time a Theologian Claymore and my SEoC. I was VERY happy. His spawn point is across the bridge, take a left, and it should be the 2nd door to the left. The puller must be prepared to eat a rather large HT but she is snarable and rootable, and does not summon, thus soloable by a ranger (preferably with EQ and AM3)Hope this helps.

I thank my guildies Toofas, Kaywen, Syphonics, Leecifer, and Waner, along with my friends Tristamane and Tharnel. Couldnt have done it without you guys.

I got my SEOC off of Magi P'Tasa on Quellious last night, he also dropped the Staff of Elemental Mastery: Fire. A friend took him down once before I got there and he had the staff: Earth. We had been killing named mobs in Hate for a little over a week. I reckon I must have been ultra lucky or else maybe this guy is finally getting more generous with his rare drops. Good luck to all you fellow rangers out there and many many thanks to my wonderful guild, Last Day, for seeing me through my quest!

We got one off "An Eerie Chest" this morning near the zone in. Go Left on the bridge, then left again. In the second building theres an Eerie Chest PH.

To get to the spawnpoint of the Eerie Chest, go across the bridge, take a right, it is the 2nd house on the right. Ive only seen him once and I have been in PoH killing Minis about 50 times. He dropped a rather decent shield. So for those who those who think he drops the SEoC all the time, dont count on it. When you pull him or his PH you will get an add, unless u have someone to Pacify or FD. Hope this information helps someone

Ok I play on the rathe server .. kinda read these msgs from time to time , Im curious I have a few rumors that have run past my elven ears overthe past weeks since the revamp in hate. first thing is the obvious that the zone is a powerhouse god none of the guilds on our server can take down inny now our highest guild was creamed by him, most guilds cant kill maestro anymore wtf are half the epics now unatainable? thanks sony most of us have been ranting for weeks . well now rumors fly in that ANY Mob in hate drops the stone, its just rare, I asked friends some said yes thats how some of the rangers in the guilds they were in got them , I was fast to make a raiding force out of anyone from any guild I could the other night making sure I was the only ranger there LOL . needless to say I had no luck in the short time I was in hate, planning on doing it again however. In the midst of my raiding another wizard and ranger ported in, he was asking where if you can believe this you can purchase a Seoc .. this shocked me and I sent a tell immediatly and what I heard almost sent me out of my chair laughing according to my slyvan brother there is a merchant Inny that sells the stone for like 9plat anyhow that merchant if you kill him to spawn the true inny I couldnt help but laugh at him about it untill other rangers started sending me tells sayin they have heard the same ridiculous rumor and that it was indeed true, not bein able to see inny on track to ofcourse test this theory myself so if anyone knows anything about this, or has any further rumors on this id thank you kindly if you could help out your fellow rangers finish this epic that most of us have waited years to complete

Can't remember where I found the post, but I only inhabit Alla or Ranger's Glade, so if you look under epics and SEoC there I'm sure you can find it.

Apart from anything else: a) it's nodrop...thus no selling and b) don't you think every 65 rogue with SoS would be getting tells from every 52 ranger in the game asking if they could buy it for them?

As for it dropping off trash mobs, this one seems to be more substantial (I've talked to people on VS who say they've got it this way) but since I and all my guild rangers have been on several hate raids which cleared almost every trash mob in the place, and not 1 has dropped from them, I'd be more inclined to go with Kyrros that it's only the boss mob PH's.

Either that or it is so rare of trash mobs that you would be better off spending the time to level and get enough gear and AA's until you can solo Inny for it. Probably be quicker.

You're deffinately onto something there. Just don't forget that with the revamp, Plane of Hate is now a viable Exp/AA/Cash hunting zone (barring the cost of a port up) that can support multiple multi/single groups each group camping multiple or single "Named/PH's" spots...

Now, you can have your cake (SEoC) and eat it too (get AA in the proccess) :)

Someone on the other messageboard for the hate zone said that the SEoC drops off of trash mobs on the 1st level now... I need to know if this is confirmed true. If it is true it's time for me to get my epic!

****POST-REVAMP ATTEMPT****

I won't believe it drops off trash mobs until I see a screenshot of it...

I just spent a 8 hours in PoH today on a general raid. We got a our @$$es handed to us twice by "Maestro" (with 7 Cleric in CH chain on a 65 Warrior - talk about tough...) and we were able to take out the "Hand of" with little trouble at all - which dropped the hand for one of our Warriors :) ... no Emerald.
We also took out the Coercer (single group, easy kill) on our way to the Magi camp... no Emerald.

Killed trash non-stop for 8 hours... no Emerald... not even any of the crests/signets for the Marsinger Hybrid quests... :\

EDIT: Though now that I think of it, about three Signets of Dark Caster dropped for the Marsinger Caster series
*grumbles at the lack of Ranger love supposedly present in the Plane of Hate*

After looking up some of the other mini-bosses... it would seem that the PHs for these bosses also have a small chance to drop the items that their masters usually carry...
Maybe this is how the rumor got started?...

Though, a SEoC dropping at all would be great, I don't care who it drops off of :p

I have been on a quite a few succesful Hate raids and I have never seen one drop - ever... (that goes for the Ranger armor as well) :(

I don't really care about the weapon's stats or its slow, etc... What matters to me is being able to say I have my epic. Of course the sword sucks compaired to a lot of ranger usable weapons in todays EQ but none of them are the epic.

For me, it's a matter of pride.

So, it looks like I'll be wasting a lot of time trying to get the SEoC.

Well with Hates new look what drops SeoC now Maestro being a 60+ encounter now kinda makes it dumb since the risk is greater than the reward.

I mean i could take my guild and whack the mob in Akheva and get the light woodsman blade ( 14/18 procs careless lighting and some stats)

I would Jus like to say , I Raided hate for 2 weeks straight , and no other guild did , downed the minis ALL of them on all the trips and Emerald Dropped , before the patch I had been to 9 hate raids and totaled 40 mini boses and droped 5 emeralds , do the math , after patch 2+ minis and no emerald , I think this Stinks and The drop rate is Messed up , but anyway , There are better weapons Ill try for one of those Cuz this is Wastoing my time and money

Dropped from the named male rev mini-boss Magi P'Tasa. Everything I've read leads me to believe that any of the named mini bosses can drop it but very rarely. Only the Diplomats on the second floor seem to have no listed drops.

Edit: cool, Ilia added it to the list above. Had submitted it to be added to the 'found on creatures' listing.

Well 13 Hate raids later, killing Inny on many of those occasions, along with the mini bosses only 2 stones have dropped. Having lost on the rolls I am still waiting for my hate stone, and there are 6 other rangers that I know of on our server (Rodcet Nife) that have been waiting longer than I.

I do wish that SoE would increase the drop rate of this stone.

We did Hate today, took out Inny, and I got my SEoC. =) Don't know often it has happened lately, but another Ranger sent me a tell out of no where and said he had been searching for 2 years.

Common is not even close to that statement. =(

That rangerouttanowhere was me. I've been working on the epic for 2 years, after the emerald myself for 1 1/2 of those years. Yes, as you can see this is a VERY ULTRA RARE drop.
