Shattered Emerald of Corruption  

 

Dropped off the first spawn of Ashenbone Broodmaster for me today...Woot.

After aprox 10 hours in PoHate (killing almost all the tier 1 nameds in one spawncycle) Mistress of Scorn made my day :)

Dropped finally from the Hideous rat last night. After 3 weeks of weekday evenings in Hate, killing 13 mini bosses and countless trash, the rat had it.
-I would suggest trying the hideous rat first. Be careful because he has 5 mobs guarding him and also sends out a whirl-till-you-hurl which was the only spell I didn't resist in the whole 3 weeks. Outside his building is also the Deathrot Knight and his pet, plus 4-5 yard trash. I think you can pick them all off seperately and work your way in. Somekind of harmony/pacify spell is really helpful. Special thanks to Findaen, Shaman of the Disciples of Justice for helping me trash the trash to get in there!

Can confirm that it drops from Mistress of Scorn ( just helped a player to loot it today )

took me two weekends of camping finally got SEOC from mistress scorn after killing all the mini's for two weekends and all there place holders. even after the expansion patch. still took another week. good luck to those still trying to do the epic 1.0 quest the old fashion way.

Bring marshmallows, a fishing pole, and a tent it's gonna be awhile. I have(with a few high lvl pets) yes this ranger has pets....A lvl. 75 mage and a lvl. 72 sk. While they were wiping the houses for me, i took up baking in a spit....For those of you crying and whining about the length of the wait I say, the epic is not fubarred, nor bugged I've helped 7 rangers on Bristlebane get their emerald. As far as the mq goes, that's just greedy you should mq it for free to assist others get their epics. I camped my epic drop in Hate for about a week and finally got it, grab a book and multiskills items, sit down and wait just like we did. GL. BTW it falls off mini nameds only...I've had the most luck on Magi T'Plasa in the first house across the bridge.

Sat in Plane O' Hate for a whole 20 minutes before my friend offered to MQ for 2k. Took MQ, living happily ever after.

Was in PoHate the other night helping a guildy get the mage drop up there. Eerie Chest was up so figured we would try our luck. Lo and Behold it dropped the emerald the first time so it appears to have been increased..camp the Eerie Chest it has dropped it the most consistently of all mobs. Just my 2cp

I camped pohate for over 14 hours today, dont know if I was just unlucky or what. Was camping 8 mobs that dropped seoc, most of the time it was a ph and most of the named droped items I didn't need, so if your a ranger and plan on soloing this make sure to bring plenty of haste/heal/mana pots (I used 32 haste/mana) and get a good rotation going.
