They must have changed this after you guys posted because it is no longer only Innoruuk specific..It can now be used by any diety rouge but is still human half elf only..I also found out for us who dont have duel wield yet that it can be equipped in the range slot for those added lil bonus's it has..I was just doing this for faction and exp but found out they changed it..WOOHOOO..nice surprise..it will go rather well with my stiletto of the bloodclaw when I hit 13..its very quick..

Hmm... let's look at the Freeport Rogue choices...
Human... Bristlebane, Inny, Erolissi Marr(?!), Agnostic
Half Elf... Bristlebane, E Marr, Agnostic
Okay, I can see why there might be a reason to restrict a weapon to a particular Deity... and based on HOW you get this weapon (killing 2 guys that /con even at lvl 12... yeah, I can also see a lvl 8 doing that) I can see why Inny would be the choice.
Bearing in mind the odds of picking a human over a half-elf... and then picking Inny to worship, rather the Bristlebane, or even staying Agnostic, I really wonder how many people are even going to be ELIGIBLE to use this, much less actually bother questing for such a weak (even by lowbie standards) weapon?
Better choice might have been something like...

SLOT:Primary Range (not secondary... it's supposed to be a newbie weapon, and you can't Dual Wield until 13)
RACE: HUM HEF
CLASS: ROG
DEITY: Bristlebane (if you MUST restrict by deity, but I don't see WHY you should penalise a lowbie for picking the 'wrong' deity)
And somehow make it so you can reasonably PICKPOCKET the NPCs in the quest without them turning agro?
PS My own Rogue is Agnostic anyways, so if this HAD to be deity restricted, I stil wouldn't get to use it... but I still think Bristlebane a better choice than Inny

I feel someone ripped...i'm the one that posted the remainder of the quest, the least they could've done was use the picture i sent them, at least it contained the picture of the dagger.

Now realize that its not for someone who has passed lvl 15 yes you can get better items, and its not for somone that has been twinked, and since not everyone has friend on to twink them. And since the name of the game is EVERQUEST, I for one think its nice to see quests newbies and people that are starting over can do for the fun of it. Ive got a Vahshir rogue that I play everyonce in a while that I wont twink but can just do all of the quests for that class in Shar val. Im happey to do thoes quests because hes earned everything that he gets. My warrior was Twinked to hell and back and Is fun to play but I dont feel much accomplishment because just about everything was given to him. Now if I had been able to quest for stuff (even if it sucks) at least I can take pride in the fact that he earned it.

In my opinion this is GREAT! At Lvl 8 I would have loved to do this quest.
So please quite complaining about stuff you have no need for, and dont discurage others from an alternate from twinking.

Nope. Sorry. Junk. Rant all you want, it still blows.
I regularly start new characters on some other server, because ********* that I am, I like to run through the early levels untwinked. Even completely untwinked, no way I'd run any quest or spend more than a couple silver for this thing.
By level 8, or at worst level 9, I'd have managed to get myself a 5/27 Giant Snake Fang one way or another...killed a snake or scraped up 5 gold.
GSF is WAAAY better. At that level, minor stats on a weapon hardly matter: ratio is everything. It's true that it's magic, so you could hunt wisps for cash; but you'd die, because the ratio sucks.
So, this quest is stupid and pointless.
The new batch of newbie quests are a strange mix of decent and dumb...some are pretty darn good, but this one sure isn't. I'd be pissed if I went through that whole quest and wound up with this turkey. I like the sense of accomplishment I get from earning things myself too,...but this is like mowing someone's yard and having them pay you 50 cents. Irritation would outweigh satisfaction.

While I quite agree with you, it isn't very good for a weapon, even for the level to attain...look at it again. Range 40. This can go in the range slot. When you're not using range weapons, a str 1 dex 2 range item is pretty spiffy for a level 8 untwinked rogue. :)
Errr... maybe I'm the only one who notices this, but 3/21 is a better ratio than 5/27.

I don't think you understand weapon ratios. The GSF has a ratio of 5.4, which is much better than the Dirk's ratio of 7. The GSF is slower, but over time it's doing more damage, the whole point of figuring out the ratio in the first place.
Hmmm last time I checked half elf rogues couldnt woship inny so this is in fact human only
