Only high elves may craft it. The listed races may equip it.

What are thoughts on how to augment this lovely piece of equipment?
RE: Augments
# Oct 08 2003 at 10:14 AM Rating: Decent
And another thing...
All the LDoN breastplates have three slots to put augments into. Why do you think this one has only one?

First: untl they fix a bug with deity specific armor, you CANNOT augment this.

Second, ALL pre-LDoN armor only has one slot.

I was able to succesfully Augment this BP with a Flawed Gemstone of Knowldege, and got the extra +5 Wis

From the October 9th patch message:

Quote:
Fixed a bug that prevented augments with no deity restrictions from combining with deity-restricted items.

When I posted that you could not augment this, it was true, they just fixed it the next day!
Confused
# Nov 24 2002 at 8:05 AM Rating: Default
Tried to make this with my wood elf druid and nothing. Got a message saying I had to be a high elf to make...then in the wood elf forge it wouldn't combine. Is there a solution to this?

the main reason a wood elf cant do it is that it is HIGH Elf cultural smithing. :)

Can anyone tell me where to find info on how to make this stuff

Certainly. The impecably maintained EQtraders Corner, at www.eqtraders.com

You can find recipies for just about anything player made, including a bunch of the May 8th additions to Tradeskills (of which this is part). In the link bar on the left, click on Recipes, then Cultural Recipes, the High Elves. Full listings of the components needed, as well as the skill levels at which each piece becomes "trivial."

If you don't know much about tradeskills, this site offers some great beginners guides to getting started, costs involved, and tips and tricks.
WHat about Marr
# May 29 2002 at 2:24 PM Rating: Decent
Im seeing some gaping holes here and true to form, more of Verants coddling of evils. Unless Mithaniel Marr and such get such smithed armor then this is just plain obscene. I mean, 3 evil dieties and 1 good? Whats up with that?
RE: WHat about Marr
# Mar 05 2003 at 12:01 PM Rating: Decent
Verant coddling of evils? Tunare is evil? News to me.
RE: WHat about Marr
# Aug 31 2002 at 7:17 PM Rating: Good
Mithaniel Mar set of armor is Human (Qeynos) Cultural smithing. It's one of the "fill in the blank" Helrdric armors. The hole here is that they are only usable by human, barbarian, and half elven worshipers of Mithaniel Marr that can use plate armor (I know someone with a HE chanter that worships Mithaniel Marr...how could she turn her back upon the all mother?).

Again, if you want details go to EQtraders.com
It's a most excellent sight for all thing dealing with trade skills. (including stats for said armors)

Change the imbued gem and a HE Mith mar worshiper can wear this armor. Each diety has a gem. Emeralds belong to Tunare. You can imbue a diamond and put it in place of the emerald and you get High Elf Mith Mar armor.

RE: WHat about Marr - Endless armor possibilities?????
# Dec 04 2003 at 10:55 AM Rating: Decent
Kind or surprised no one else has responded to this post. If I understand it right, a member of race that doesn't worship the stereotypical god of that race can still make some cultural armor for themselves by changing the gem. That would mean human Sks could probably make human cultural plate armor and wear it by using the Cazic or Innoruk appropriate gem when they make it. Did anyone else get that from Meddling's post?

That is what he said, but he's wrong.

There are only two types of full mithril. Blessed (tunare) and the regular, unimbued, non deity restricted kind with less wisdom. Put an imbued diamond in instead of an emerald, and you will get a does not combine message.

However, with the specific examples you gave, of humans and heraldic armor, a human SK CAN get Innoruuk imbued heraldic (hateful), or Bertox imbued heraldic (fetid). However, there is no cazic thule imbued heraldic.

There are however, Ralloz zek, Mith marr, Ero marr, Karana, solusek ro and rodcet nife imbues.

This MAY be where the earlier poster got the idea that cultural armor can be made with any gem. Since humans have so many deity choices, they get a lot of versions of cultural armor.

But the bottom line is, High Elves only get TWO kinds. Dark elf gets 2 kinds, Ogre gets 4, and so on, deviate from the recipe AT ALL, and it will not combine.
so anyone know where to find recipes

Half Elfs

personally i think Half Elfs should be ables to do the elven or human smithing of there home city. since they belong to that culture.

Half Elves are the maladjusted, not fully accepted bastards of both races. There has to be some penalty for mixing the best of both worlds.

I concur. Then again I also think half elves should be allowed to play clerics. Silly me.

That is sort of wierd...the other three elven races can be Clerics, but half elves cant? Oversight?

Half elves are blessed (or cursed) to be the Ranger elite, if that dont prove we need clerics I dont know what does ;p

RE: Half Elfs

Alas, it's not an oversight. Half Elves are hybrids of Humans and Tier'Dal, not Koada'Dal. It is our human halves that make us able to play paladins.

That said, I do wish we could make Koada'Dal cultural armor. We still are part of the culture, in many cases, even if we aren't fully accepted.

That, and I want long hair. I'm tired of Precia having a butch haircut.
RE: Half Elfs
# Mar 30 2003 at 7:51 PM Rating: Default
Correction, the Tier'dal are the Dark Elves. Half-elves are a product of Human and Wood Elves.

It definitely isn't an oversight. Only 2 races of elves can be clerics. Dark Elves and High Elves are allowed to be clerics. The Half-Elves and Wood Elves have the druid for their priest class.
RE: Half Elfs
# Aug 31 2002 at 7:23 PM Rating: Default
And halflings have both classes. Just because your kind keep seperating themselves into smaller and smaller groups to be "diffrent" dosen't mean that clerics and druids can't be in the same race. Humans have druids and clerics too. I suppose a cleric could worship Karana (but why any loyal follower would ignore the followings of the wild to favor the more "civilized" teachings of a cleric mystifies me.)
