I dont get this. Why only 20+? the proc BARELY does much dmg, and for 20, not only will dmg not mattre, but.. mobs will resist it every time. Yeah, i know. At 1-6, its gonna kill mobs FAST. but not at 13 it aint.
It's pretty much only useful to magi. It's a manaless pull spell, and if your pet can solo mob nets you full xp as you no longer need to do 51% of damage to ks your pet.

i wonder if i can click this spell if im a paladin, it would be nice to remove snare or root with in that case.
A paladin cannot equip the item, so no, that wouldn't be possible.
For those who can use it, however, it can be used to break a root on a mob (though it may take a few casts with this to break it). Snares, however, aren't broken by damage spells. They have to be actively dispelled with "cancel magic" type spells.

Well, with my Wizard still reeling from rez effects, and getting aggrod, having even a lvl 1 no mana dd would have been nice.

after much disscussion on the sshaman boardss it hass been deturmined that thesse are only really good for Faction leaching and ssuch with itss quick cast time you sshould be able to get thiss one off with out too much trouble :)

Yeah all these are pretty much useless unless you want to pull with them and even then not much good.
You would spend an entire fight clicking and still not end up doing much.
These are new, so im hoping they have recipes later on that have better spells something like shock of lightening, that does 83 dd damage(wiz) would be well worth having.
This would also fix the gap(falling behind meeleers damage) in some casters damage ( IMHO wizards) between having a soloists wand and getting a rend robe. Have a reccomended level of 30 or 35 and at 83 dd would be great. Have soloists wand till then and it would be about right. SO hope to see new rings being made that have better procs.

Not useless. Good to use when doing some tagging for faction work. apparently, this is also good on PVP servers for breaking snare and root that have been cast on you.
You can generally break a root with this if you use it a few times, but a direct damage spell like burst of flame cannot break a snare. Snares have to be dispelled with a "cancel magic" type of spell.

I think the point is more to make the band to get your pottery skill up.
However, I have found myself using Burst of Flame in Kael raids to make sure I get faction every time a giant goes down. My guild drops them pretty fast, and Burst of Flame is quick casting enough that I can land it before they die.

The point?
1)Usefull for faction leaching.
2)Usefull for pulling - the spell has very low agro, so you can pull and have it be trivial for someone else (a tank or a pet) to pull the mob off of you after you get it back to where you want it. No need to waste a spell slot on a 'pulling' spell.

As a shammie something like this would not be good for pulling. Slow is the best for pulling i think. Why?? The mob hits you once now you can get off root or the tanks can pull taunt and get the mob off you. If they hit you more than once you need a Shadownight for there taunt spell.
