Question?
# Sep 09 2005 at 12:24 PM Rating: Decent
Can any class use this from inventory?
use

this isnt for mana effeciency or anything. when you are puller, often you dont want to snare because that makes the pull take too long. you also dont want to deal too much damage so that the mob summons you, so you pull it with this. often dont even need to fd when you get to camp because it is such low aggro. this item would never do enough regen to make it worth clicking it forever and ever
Greater than most realize...

This "toy" makes an _excellent_ pulling tap. Virtually no aggro and the pet can wipe it in the first hit; unlike using Darkness after running a few ticks, your pet will have a hard time getting it off you with the DoT damage aggro.

Also makes a painless faction tap.

I keep mine hotkeyed all the time.

gem/band recipes

You can find the recipes at www.eqtraders.com - click recipes, and they are currently in the MAY 8 PATCH RECIPES section until the Den Mother gets more verifications in and relocates them. To make a lacquered gem, you need jar of lacquer (same merchants that sell etching/dying supplies for fine plate), and one of the gems listed. combine in a jewelry bag (and yes, it uses the jewelry skill). making the gems ranges trivials (jewelry) from 73 to ~157. the bands range (pottery) 202 to ~242.

Bah, forgot to update my sig

It seems that as of now, these items CAN be used out of the inventory, by anyone? Am I correct in saying this? If so, this is a pretty nice way for melee's to get hp, right click this from inventory, on some random green mob, and gain hp at least 2x as fast, if I'm not mistaken. Please point it out to me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I am, if it had to be worn to use it would say (Must Equip) after it, wouldn't it? Just my 2 cp.

Well according to some posts on EQ Traders, they can't be used by anyone...just the class listed. I made the green band and I can use it since I'm a cleric, but I haven't had a chance to transfer it to my druid to see if another class can indeed use it.

Where does one find the recipe to make this? Even the site to get the recipe for the green one would be appreciated.

LOL all this is good for is mana free faction action. Demi Lich takes 48 hp and gives 31 mana each tick.. so how do you posable think that 5 hp in 3 sec is going to help me with my mana efficiency... my siting regen is beter then 5hp per tick over my standing regen and i would have to stand to use this.

Do you get +5 regen for sitting? No. So you see, this actually works better. Plus, it deals 5 damage every 3 secs (not that great but better than nothing) and most importantly, to your group it looks like you are dealing a ton of damage =)

Of course standing you don't get to meditate, but this thing runs for 50-200pp so who cares, its a neat little item.

I should be able to make these as soon as I get enough cash for the 'dots.

"Do you get +5 regen for sitting? No. "
Actually some do get better than 5. As a iksar i get 15 hp a tick sitting. So yes this would be pretty useless for some. But i would use this for aggro... Say you're soloing and you pet gains too much aggro and is getting beat just spam this until the mob is back on you.

#REDACTED, Posted: May 15 2002 at 6:32 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Even if its just the 4hp one, this means that necro hp to mana spells have almost no manacost, greatly increasing their efficiency...

Maybe for a level 20 character. However, if you're casting this on something, you're fighting. If you're fighting, even at level 20, there are much better ways for a necro to recover his hp/mana.

Even at 20, this is mostly a toy.
