Sturdy Workman's Tunic: Qeynos Rogues - Human and Half Elf

The Qeynos Newbie armors are better than the Freeport ones. However, the Legs, Cap, and Sleeves are broken because of a bugged drop (large myotis bat fur) - Still get the shaft on the weapon, either way.

Verant doesn't make these newbie quests fair. The paladin BP is far easier (practically everything can be bought) and it adds 4 WIS and 3 STR (I think Im right). This should be something like 3-4 DEX and AGI, not 1.

Pathetic, in '99 when i started playing this would have been awesome stuff. Now its not even good enough for actual newbies. Just goes to show how spoiled players have become, if it doesnt have 30ac and something like +5 to all stats or at least a clickable effect then its just junk.... whatever. Personally, i think all the newbie armor is pretty nice stuff for the lvl. I mean, you ARENT supposed to be able to hunt and solo lvl 15 mobs when you are lvl 10. This way i can get my newbie twink some decent armor very easily with some better ac than leather without having to waste time camping stuff.
Oh, and yes I have been playing since '99 and I still have newbie chars. I tend to go thru them like I go thru beers on saturday night

Its great armor for a new server ;)
This is the first new, blue, non split server
in a long time.
Stuff like this is fairly nice leg up stuff until people are making/you can afford banded.

Gummy, do you play a rogue? If not, why are you bashing the newbie armor for them? Back when I was a newbie I would have KILLED for somethin' like that. I've been playing since pre-kunark. (actually, right when they took Rubi outta the drop table for CT). Back then all I had was LEATHER. I lucked out when I was about lvl 12 or so and was able to get a little bit of banded. Not everything in EQ is designed for people who have higher level characters. This armor, I believe, was designed more for the true new people to EQ. Or, for those who don't feel like twinking out their newbies, and actually have their new characters WORK for their gear. (The gods know i've done that before with a few characters).
Before ya bash a newbie piece of armor, how about you get off your high horse, and go try making that class on a server that you have NO friends on, NO higher characters on, and actually have to start from scratch. Maybe you'd appreciate it then.

ha! guess you forgot to look at the human monk quests.
yeah like, lemme see... spend a few days gatehring materials for a quest or spend a few hours working on tailoring and make cured silk/shaded cured silk armor.
