anyone know the specifics about cha and faction, because i have 105cha without steins, and went to qeynos (amiable) and bazaar (horse stall, indifferent as usual), and neither times did equipping both steins give any price drop. i priced a ruby and a black rope bridle and neither had a difference, however the bridle is like a thousand more with my magician (base cha, i think in 70s or something). i mostly wanted these for if i want to buy a horse, but i thought that they could also help with JC until then, so i might as well just dump them on my mage for when he sells and buys, question is, is there some cap on faction-cha with prices, and what are they.
also who would sell these under 20, the opal alone costs like 17p.
I'm a lev 55 Dru I have one of these for the sole perpus of buying and selling. When I get bored of trying to find a group I go solo mostly quad kiting and root roting. I feel silly for asking this but I was told some where that CHA is great for charm kiting. Is this true and would these be a good choise for doing so?
This is what I found out. I am a druid and I know that druids can sneak. I don't know about other classes. First of all buy 2 of these thingies in the bazaar. As everyone knows the bazaar started a major price drop. Now you can buy these for 20pp per piece. Then go to a vendor, preferably in the city where you started out inthe beginning cos down there you're an ally. Cos what the NPC cons to you is important for the price. Take off your weapon and hold 1 Opal in the primary and 1 in the secondary. Then stand behind the NPC (or the sneak thing won't work), then hit sneak ...and start selling or buying. The price difference is great. It can be up to 20%. In that way you can buy cheaper and sell with a higher return. Try it out. sell : 1 - in front, not holding the opals 2 - in front holding the opals 3 - back, sneak, not holding the opals 4 - back, sneak, holding opals
Your sneak method is well described, but Druids dont get sneak. I am guessing youre a halfling, and as an innate ability, they get sneak, as well as hide. These two dont over their skill cap of 50, so it might take a few tries to sneak successfully behind a vendor and have them con indifferently to you.Other that that, great strategy.
I don't remember the NPC name, but there is a dwarven merchant in North Freeport that sells these for 3-4pp. As you enter the area with the bank, hang a right and you should see her standing there. I bought 6 from her. I guess it is possible that some crafter sold them all to her, but they were in her second sale slot. And someone else had just bought two before me...so I think she always has them.
Well first she's a halfling, not a dwarf... the hairy feet should tip you off!
And second, she has absolutley NO permanent inventory, all she ever sells is stuff sold to her by players. If you ever click on her right after a patch or server reset, you'll notice her inventory is completely empty.
Most likely (especially since there's a pottery wheel and kiln not too far from where she stands) some player was making steins for pottry practice and just didn't feel like taking the time to sell these to players, so dumped them off on her.
I am on the zeberoux server, if anybody can craft these, please send a tell to lamce, over the weekends that is, i am very interested in these. Also, if u know a set of armor or items that raises your charisma tremendously (mine is 50 normal, hehe) that would also be helpful, thanks alot
Items like this are very useful. Personally I have 85 Charisma with normal gear, with a pair of these and a Kobold Crown I have 165 Charisma, and I am a Monk. 165 Charisma helps a lot with merchants when you need Shurikens, Fuzzlecutter Formulas, etc... Great way to save up some money !
Greetings Fellow CHA seekers 8-) someone mentioned wanting to purchase these on the Terris-Thule server, they go for 30-50pp in the bazaar you just have to keep checking back. I recently bought 3 for under 100pp 8-) hope this helps. Good shopping to you all.
Ebonlotus Dark Elven Enchantress of 10 Seasons Terris-Thule server
These can be bought in the bazaar for 40pp on Vazaelle. An amazingly low price for such a good item. The bazaar has brought down a lot of prices on crafted gear. People are selling at cost just to raise tradeskills. I think a lot less people will be raising their tradeskills if the end product isn't worth anything. I hope this trend is short lived.
Sells for 200 each or 325 for 2 like hotcakes in EC tunnel on Lanys. Fair price for master jeweler skill and grandmaster potter skill plus traveling all over norrath for materials.
Sounds funny. but I want 2 REALLY bad. One for my horrible 50cha on my Druid (because i LOVE to befriend animals. and one for my Chanter of course. So I guess its all about pottery AND jewlcraft. I should start ... and soon. I have zero idea how pottery skill works.
Hehe... go to http://www.eqtraders.com/secrets/recipes_pottery.htm and you have an excellent source on how to do pottery from 0 to 250. Recipes are in order of trivial. Basically to do pottery, you go to a pottery wheel and combine clay, water, and a sketch, then take the unfired item, place it in the kiln with a firing sheet (and sometimes glaze) to make the fired item. Firing in the kiln always trics a lot lower than the pottery wheel, so unless you actually need the item or the item has a reasonable sale value, just destroy the unfired item if you're doing pottery just for skill. Start out my making tons and tons of small bowls until they triv.
You can easily buy these from high levels (usually enchanters) or just about anyone skilled in those two skills. The price for these on Veeshan is 100pp, and I'm sure you could work out something like 2 for 175pp.
And 50 charisma is what you get for playing a halfling. =P
encrusted stein water, sculpting tools, ceramic lining sketch, large block enchanted clay, celestial essence, lacquered gem - combine in kiln, then fire with a HQ firing sheet

It's pottery skill, as of this message denmother still has the new items listed under "Main collection of May 8 recipes" which is linked off the main page in the news section. I imagine eventually the recipe will get posted under pottery recipes though.
