First of all, I've never quite understood the EQ economy when it comes to things like this. Let's take a similar item - the Black Alloy Medallion. The only difference is that the BA has no mana and it HAS a focus effect. Because this item is in KC as opposed to Runnyeye and is harder to get that somehow mystically makes it more expensive. Why is that? Why is it that this thing isn't just tossed aside as a piece of &*(% compared to the BA medallion and everybody just farms those for 500pp or so? Sure, one item is harder to get but does that make it more valuable? No, as I've illustrated with the BA medallion.

For one thing, this has an effect of guard. BAM doesn't. Also, BAM has 5 WIS 5 INT, this has 6 WIS 10 Mana which is almost like having 7 WIS at level 50 with 19 more AC to boot (from the effect). To some people, this makes it worth more.
I personally wouldn't pay more than 700pp for an item like this and then only to twink an alt.

I definately agree with you. BUT the heroin addicted monkeys decide what's worth what, not us.

People believe that since they put the time and effort into getting to a high enough level to kill something harder, they should be getting more. Others, over time learn the value of EQ money, and unfortunately- greed. What they used to sell for 50pp to people slowly inches its way up to 100, 200pp over time. Others see this happening and might take advantage subconciously, deciding to make their prices in the same range. That way they can still be the lowest AND make a profit.

Is the price really in the 5k area? I dont ever see many people with them only myself and 1 other person so far on Aynoe Ro. *shrugs* anyone know if that is the real going price?

Great Item...Not as good NoS (Compare 40k+ to 6k)... But still... :) Anyone know if this item is rechargable? That would be nice as well.

I have one of these, indeed it has 5 charges of Guard
Oh, and the price is wrong, I only paid about 800pp for it. And that was on Vallon Zek, a lot of things are more expensive there than on other servers.

As far as price goes, every server has different prices, so no one person can say I paid this for it on my server so thats too much on any other server. Every server has a different economy. Just because someone pays 800p for it doesn't mean its 800p on every server. On 7th hammer it sells much much higher as its not a very common drop. I will be glad when everyone learns this. Its not that hard to figure out honest. Its just common sense really.
