Wow u guys are wonderful. You are all talking about a uber 13/16 weap and arguings whos better. Why don't you all grow up cuz without a monk theres no way you will succeed same with beasty. its essentional to have both around cuz when u cant use 1 u can use the other. and wel lately theres so many 24/20 weaps etc
Is VI trying to make BL the H2H damage masters? Seems that his weapon is superior to even celestial fists. Yes, monks get double attack and BL would need two of these, but with the 4 higher dmg and 150DD this seems to make BL the H2H masters and not monks.
Ok ya all forgot the most obvious thing about the Original post that is wrong. VI? VI hasn't had a thing to do with this game in like forever. Come on peeps it's sony. SOE get it through your thick skulls already.
Know what you are sayin before you post. First of all this item isnt even close to Celestial Fists. sure monks hands r only 9/16 with CF's but that before you figure in the 40% hast on CF's. That said they are still pretty even but once you add the stats on Cf's it's not even close imho. Also CF's are gloves, as in hand slot not a weapon slot so why you are comparing them in the first place i dunno.
It is no surprise that this weapon is better than Celestial Fists, epics were not meant to be the best weapons in the game(especially for melees) and off mobs of similiar difficulty monks are getting 16/19, 17/20, 14/18, 15/20 weapons that are primary useable and have procs too.

Yes..this is 13/16 which is better than 9/16 monk fists with epic but don't forget that neat little effect called Celestial Tranquility. With a decent haste item and this effect monk fists are about 9/10. Next time you're grouping with an epic monk...nicely ask him to use just fists...turn on "others hits" filter and enjoy the spam. 8) This weapon is nice but doesn't replace our epic. OMG laugh!! And now think about the other nice H2H weapons out there with 16/19, 17/20 or 17/19 ratios that 'are' monk useable. Quickly doing the math that's 16/13, 17/14 and 17/13 self hasted. God that's nasty.
well i agree Monks need to stop crying about Beast getting one or two decent weapons that they cant steal out from under us.... Celestial Fist is basically just a permanent 40% Haste for all weapons...i see nothing to cry about there....

Next time your grouping with a high level Beastlord, Nicely ask him to self haste (40-50%) minimum, thats "without" any haste items which is pretty rare for a high lvl Beast not to have a haste item, so Beast is always usually no less than 65% to 85+% self hasted...and thats not counting Frenzy of Spirit (99+% Haste plus 332ATK for 1 min every 11 min )and add Savagery another +135ATK.....So a Beast during a fight can be easily 99+% self Hasted with his ATK well in excess of 1800+ATK...(iam currently at just over 1800 self buffed) Then turn on "others hits" filter and between He and his his Pet enjoy the battle spam that easily rivals any Monk... Hmm 100+% self hasted...that would make these Beast claws what? something like 13/9? or 13/10 whatever the cap is God thats nastIER

I have my pet ALL the time...Never without...not during fights or raids anyway...
Ive gone "toe to toe" with several Monks lately....dropped them all quickly... If i get a FOL to stick which usually it does sometime or another thats all she wrote...I just keep lighting him up, dotting, debuffing, slowing, while my pet is tearing his **** up, i pop a heal on my Pet once in awhile if need be, once he uses his Mend its over. My pet fully Buffed can have up to 7000HPs i currently have 6400HPs plus 305+ AGI and CA3& LR5 i get missed ALOT and at some point my pet usually /shields me taking 50% of the Damage...
Ive done more damage than several Monks while i was Tanking in front of the Mob while hte Monk was beating on his back LOL...
If i get outdamaged by a Monk, its usually because im tanking the Mob and Monk is in back without the dodges and reposte or maybe Mob is very highly Cold resistant.... But all things being equal i cant ever remember being outdmaged by any Monk...
Just wanted to add a few facts to cats post..ferocity is 201 atk, there is no haste on frenzy of spirit ( not noticeable haste anyway ), other thean that totally right, bsts rock monks, i'm sry its true, overall that is...they are prob very slighty higher dps, but they dont have slow/fer/para/nukes/SD do they, and yes I am a 65 Bst.

Grabbed this from the Lucy Database, so yes this spell DOES have a haste component, quite a large one at that.
You might be playing on a PvP server, and I don't know the rules for those. But on AB (and prolly all 'blue' servers) you may not heal your pet in a duel. You can cast the spell, but you will get no message, and your warder does not gain HP.
So you either have to kill your oponent before he kills your pet, or cast and buff another.
Perhaps he does his PC fighting in an Arena, like a civilized being... Why would one test one's PvP skills through duelling, when the arena in the bazaar (or any other) is there for just that? The only reason to duel someone anymore, is if you're a melee class wanting to fight anyone with healing spells of any kind, and you want to put them at a disadvantage.
Yeah dont forget the pet, cause thats the only way in hell yer comin close to damage that monks do ALL the time, and if i'm not mistaken monks now get triple attack. BL's do have higher dps BUT only because of yer pet....toe to toe a monk will woop yah far as pure mele goes. BL's have spells and a pet and thats what out does a monk NOT your mele.

As much as I hate to dignify your message with a response, I couldn't resist. I could just as well leave it with a resounding 'Duh!', but I won't. Of course without a pet a monk could beat a beastlord, the pet is an integral part of the class. Do you also like watching monks go after mages who aren't allowed to use there pets? Or lets step it up a notch, do you like watching monks go after druids who aren't allowed to use spells? What you fail to realize is that the classes come as a COMPLETE package. As far as pet classes go, magicians and necromancers got the spell power and the pet, beastlords got melee power with pets. Beastlords aren't as potent in melee alone as other classes, that's because we have a pet. It wouldn't be fair if we had the full fighting abilities of a monk, the casting ability of a full shaman, and a good pet all rolled into one.
To sum it all up, remember to take the class as a whole package, lest you find yourself running through the woods away from a foe, with out all of your abilities.
If the item says recommended level 58 then you can't hold it till 58, try and take a lvl 50 warrior and hold a club of ice ocean you can't.
They should have done this when EQ went live SSOY recomended level to use 37 etc they should also make armor the same way it would actually make the game a challange then instead as was already stated a twink fest to see who can get the best gear on a level 1.
Have I twinked a toon yep you damn right but before I could do that I had to get my gear like everyone else there are just somethings that should not be on low level toons.
Recommended level does not have any lvl requirements to use, only requirements to get full use of the stats. it is required level which stops people being able to use the wpn.

If the item has brackets, eg dmg (7)22 it means you can use below the recommended level but you can't get the full benefit. These are both no drop and recommended level with no alternative stats, you would be unable to wield it till the recommended level in this case.
It is just like spells in EQ basically you can use them at a certain level but ost get ore powerful as you level... So what is the big deal?? you just know when you hit the reccomended level you will be getting the full benefit from the ite.. If Verant would have done this in the first place it would have made this game much more challenging and not just a twink fest...

True, and what's more I don't think folk lower than 58 will be taking this bad-boy down. Heck, I'd be shocked to see a 58 in the fight, but there might be some reason you would have not yet gained 60, but still be equipped well enough to be in this encounter.... It's a reach.
