Split Paw Tooth Necklace is worth 1 plat 0 gold 9 silver 5 copper to level 2 human monk selling to Sateal Deirosap in the bazaar. Bazaar prices for this item range from 25 to 50 plat at this time.

i have one of everthing from splitpaw and for my noob it is real nice as a soort of twinkie stert all the items together are AC-23,save vs poison-25
CHA 5, DEX 3, save vs majic 5, and WIS 2 so all the irems together are not a bad start and to top it all off if you go to the gipse camp you can usually find everthing for less than 15pp so have fun look around and kill them all
free one from friend

my friend who was in a group gave me a split paw necklace and a raw hide tunic (even though i couldnt use it). It was a lot better than that little stone necklace thing.
cheap because....

Its cheap because so many of these wander back from Split Paw. When I hunted there, these were thrown into what I called "the newbie bag" which contained lots of split paw hide armor as gifts for newbies in town.

What you say? sell them? to whom? Newbies have no money, the folks who have money, have better equipment. Yes it would be nice for an enchanter, but again, the ones who could benefit most from this, have no money.

I see these all over, in nearly every city zone I've seen at least one and the merchant cost is not worth buying it even if you can. I think they tried to curb the presence by making them lore but it doen't help when the Karanas are a druid targeted zone (not to discount the other classes and teleporters) and being strong enough to attack the gnolls with this they more than likely can teleport near anywhere in Norath and then gate right back and do it again.

If you get one of these find a newbie and make their day :) You both get a bit of satisfaction that a merchant can't bring....maybe
why so cheap?
# Jun 16 2001 at 11:39 AM Rating: Default
Why is the average price so cheap? The 5 charisma alone is enough to make it worth way more. I don't see why a 6wis ring can be worth 300pp while this is only 14pp. Add 2 ac and poison resist and it should be worth even more.

Simple, supply and demand. This is a lot more common than that 6wis ring that sells for 300pp. This is a very common drop off of any gnolls in Southern Karana and Splitpaw. And it's lore, so people can't farm them, often people leave them to rot after getting one. They're simply not hard to get. Even if you're not high enough level to kill the gnolls yourself, if you scavenge unlooted corpses you can probably find one. Hence their much lower price.

Just because it's lore does not necessarily mean it's for a quest. Often, items are made lore simply to discourage farming. As far as I know, this is not used in any quest. If an item's no drop, especially if the stats are very low for the leve of the mob that drops it, it's very likely used in a quest. But it being lore is neither here nor there.

Don't know, but it makes an excellent addition to an enchaters apparell.
