No.. if you look at the fabled ring item info here on alla it says in big bold letters that it dosen't work as the key. would be faster to find the info yourself than wait for an answer.
The Fabled Ring actually does indeed work as a key to the emperor's chamber. But when the item first came out in March 2007, it did not work as a key to the Emperor's Chamber. Now it does.
Look at the entry for Fabled Ring of the Shissar where people discuss how it now works. A patch some time in April 2007 allowed it to work. A few months later I helped lead a raid against the emperor, and a few people who only had the Fabled ring, and not the regular ring, managed to click into the chamber no problem, and got the message that the key had been added to their keyring. (The message included the normal ring's name.)
When it gets added to your keyring, it lists as "Ring of the Shissar". Type /key to see what you have already.
To the guy who said they don't list on your /key, unless/or until you zone: incorrect. ToFS keys add when you click to go in, go up a level or go out of the zone to Iceclad, and you don't zone there for them to add (when you go up a level). Also: SSRA named's keys (Zherozsh's key and Zazuzh's key) add when you click the locked doors that they open.
Is this the type of Key that everybody in the group would have to have to get to the Emporer, or can one person have it and simply Open the door for everybody else?
Everyone in the group/raid that wants to get into the Emperor's chamber needs a ring. To get into the emp chamber, you click on a portal. Everyone does it individually. Once you click in for the first time, the ring goes on your keyring.
My Ring of the Shissar got destroyed or som'n happened to it. I do have Ring of the Shissar on /key though. Can I get into Emp Sassa's Room? Any feedback is appreciated!
Geadenea gave a nice, short 'n sweet answer. I'm just going to elaborate a little. Keys like this disappear when used and go to your /key ring to save you space in your inventory/bank. Once this happens you no longer need to hold it, just click on the portal/door from now on and you will automatically unlock/enter.
I could just be me but beacuse thsi items effect was created durring the max spells ov lvl 60 shoudlnt it make sence to upgrade this effect to level 4 so that it will still work on all spells becasue most people taht get this key are still at the highest level possible. I might be off my rocker but id love to see the effect on this get boosted so i could actually use it.
key rule of thumb... If when a key is used you move to another zone it will go on your key ring. For instance the trak idol when used zones you into sebilis. thus it is from then on included on your key ring.
If you use a key that just opens a door in a zone and doesnt zone you. The key will not go on your key ring. The ring of the shissar is this type. the ring of the shissar, however is a dang nice finger item anyway, and for most players worthy to be considered full time gear.
You don't have to zone for a key to be added to your keyring. The ring of torden, or any of the tofs keys, for example, will be added to your keyring as soon as you use them on the correct door/portal.
Consider the CR if the emporer key was not soulbound and you wiped. Emporer key is soulbound as are the keys dropped by the 2 commanders for Arch lich area etc.
This is incorrect. The ring of the shissar most definitely appears on your key ring. That rule of thumb doesn't really hold anymore. The key down to CoDb goes on your keychain, as do the keys for the different floors in ToFS, and they VT Tower keys. I'm pretty sure the BoT tower and Agnarr keys also go on your keychain, but I'm not positive.
Just as a side note, the glowing orb you need to help complete the sceptre of shadows drops off several luclin boss-level mobs including some of the named in the temple below emperor. I got mine off Grieg in GE though. The rifts, on the other hand, can only be found on the wraiths after the emperor's death.
Everyone much have there own ring to enter. 2 of the 4 drops are soloable (well they are for a 65 necro) You need a group for the taskmasters, or atleast 2. And the the idol bring a really good group, or 2 or 3 groups works best.

He said if you are a weak guild it would need to be large. Which part of that don't you understand? Don't flame people for making sense please.

This is the ring that acts as the key to the Emperor/Blood area in Ssraeszha Temple. It is quested for, you need four items from the zone in order to make it: an Idol, a Ring, an Insignia, and a Bag to combine them all in. It's not something you're getting without being in a big guild.
(edit: ok, now with PoP, with a full group of 65s it is indeed doable with a single group. not easy, but doable)
This is definately something you CAN do without a large guild. Every piece to this quest is obtainable with a single group, nothing raid sized needed. It just calls for having a few reliable friends to give eachother a hand collecting the pieces from day to day. :)
Everything but the insignia is groupable. The mobs who drop the insignia are tough and have tons of hp so a single group would go OOM healing a single tank.
Aye, the 2 commanders and the taskmasters are definately single groupable but the insignia camp requires more people IMO. Killing the named for the insignia camp takes a while, especially the General.

The ring of the Shissar comes from a quest in Ssraeszha Temple. I'm guessing they just put the wrong link up there with all the other Grimling stuff in today's updates.
