Pyrrhotite sample is given to a dwarf, located in the halls that lead to Twilight Sea from Katta. If you are standing in front of the bank, head to the tunnel on the right. He gives faction with different Katta people(cannot remeber them all) and you lose faction with the Seru area.

This is also found in the Grimling mining caves in Teneb. Mountains. They seem to be on the rarer side. Got two in about 6 hours of farming there.
