place a stone and rusty weapon in forge and hit combine. on fail, you lose stone, but get rusty weapon back. succeed, and you get tarnished weapon.

Greta O'Reilly is the one who sells the sharpening stones in Halas. She is located behind McQuid's Dark Stout between the shop and the main town wall. I'm sending in the correction as soon as I post this message.

Don't bother searching the other merchants in Halas or Qeynos North and South...they don't have them either...i have spent 6 days searching and re-checking every merchant for the sharpening basucally all human and barbarian class pc's are out of luck...sounds like a bug report to me....wonder how many months it is going to take to fix rush theres 400,000 players on-line

there is a merchant behind one fo the buildings that sells them in halas. it might be rose i dont know the name, but they are normally there. Not just because someone sold them to her.

Thanks Talo... been all over Halas without luck looking for this thing. I'll be damned if I'm running to HK to buy one.

EDIT: Forget that! You CAN'T buy them off of Rose in Halas. If you did, it was only because someone sold them to her, and you bought them from her "player items" list. Her main list does NOT have sharpening stones. If you want them, and are in the Halas/SFG/Qeynos Area, be prepared to take a trip to Erudin or HK because VI failed to place them in ANY of these Towns. Luckily, I found a nice chap in Everfrost that had 7 stacks of the stones, and he gave them to me. I only used 10 to finish the newbie weapon quest for my alt (which ended up sucking horribly), just goes to show you that you can't trust everything you see here.

Sorry for the misinformation... I haven't been to Halas in a while, when(if) I return I will look around to see if there is a vendor is Halas that sells them. Again, sorry for the mistake!

where oh where do these things sell? oh where oh where can they be?
    RE: where?
    # Sep 08 2002 at 11:41 AM Rating: Default
My question exactly. Allakhazam has lists of where to buy every spell, but as far as other items go, it's sadly lacking.
    RE: where?
    # Oct 28 2002 at 7:41 PM Rating: Decent
Thats because they use us as players as their source of info. If people don't send the info they don't have it to post. If you want them to have it run around and gather it for them.
