I've gone through a ton of weapons for my pally.
Steel rod of the Knight was my favorite hard hitter for a while. I would choose this over the steel rod because of the slightly improved dmg it showed for me and the looks mostly. This thing looks awesome worn. However, i have replaced this now with the all so favorite War Marshals which blows this away.

Just got one for 2k on Inny.
Great blade hits nice and hard and with SCHW and Valor of Marr it hits fast too.

I just started a SK, hmm mabey i should get him this...mabey not
I have one of these on my gnome SK. I traded a bracer of comprehension and a weighty polearm for it.Ieagerly took it to PoV and put it to use. I am 58 and have an unbuffed str of 192, 2hs is at 219 skill level , i hit for max so far 235, and average 125-175 with it, very nice with schw or better haste item .
I just wanted to say that i was very pleased with it.

Look at the loot table of an Acidic mass and then cry when you get one of these. The first time we killed it this sword was the only thing it dropped when AM can drop up to 3 items.

i got this sword on luclin for 5k fairly good price i think i made out its just as good as the AP a little lower damage but a little lower delay with more stats to bad it lvl 51 or higher

Not a bad price? I call that a DÀMNED good price considering that even if someone would sell it on Tallon Zek, which I doubt they would, it'd easily go for at least 25k if not near 35k. It's a beutiful piece for any hybrid. Sure rangers won't get too much out of it, but I've still fought a couple of em with Worn Nagi's and they pretty much kicked my áss.
Would love to find this blade lying on the ground or something...I'd be giddy for six months of pking.

I just bought one of these on Prexus server, and was wondering what it normally sells for. I had never seen one up for sale before, and I got it for a ridiculous amount. I figure the guy selling it lucked into it somehow and was too low level to see real stats and realize what he had. I'll probably put this on my pally to replace the Reaver I've been useing, just curious about the value since the listed price imput was from only one person and is obviously WAY high.
i see 1 for sale in bazaar on Mith Marr.
20K is asking price. to be honest, 38dam 45delay is not the greatest ratio for high end 2handers)

In terms of ratio, number 16 of tradable 2hs out there. As for as non-tradable 2hs, it is number 48 (with warrior's and pally's epic ranked above it..as well as primals, weapons from Ssraeshza Temple and such...many weapons 98% of melees won't see for a long time).
Look at what else it can do: adds nearly 100 hps, saves, and mana for hybrids.
Hmmm.."to be honest", I think you need to look again. Very nice sword to use at 51 and beyond and well worth the price.
Even for the high-end game, I think this sword valued more than you appraised.

for 2H slash perhaps, but nowadays there is 2H blunt and 2H pierce as well, both on the same scale. that will drop it quite a bit more.

This weapon is in the top 80 of tradeable weapons and top 120ish of ALL(no drops included) two-handers. The weapons above this one are impressive. Many are class restricted and many drop for ST, VP, Ssraeshza Temple, and tier 3 PoP areas. Alot of players won't see those areas for awhile.
As far as stats, hps and resist still are the win +60 I hear...almost 100hps here with Stam included. I also hear tanks paying ALOT for stats on items.
As far as damage, weapons with delay over 40 also gets a nice damage bonus. And a 1.184 ratio, as I stated already, ain't that bad (ie. consider ranking of ALL two-handers).
It is a fine weapon. You might want to look again, and a bit a research, before you leap again.

come on,recuired lvl of 51, every char that gets at that lvl nowadays can and will have a better weap then this.
it's down to 5K in bazaar right now btw, i think that says it all about how great it is.

You are correct. This sword goes for 5kpp or less due to the equipment coming out of PoP and, some extent, LoY.
Just 90 days to 6 months ago, this sword was quite good. Then again, so was a 2hand mithril in its day.
Be nice if you took reference to time of post compared to equipment of today. In its day, which was short, this sword was ok and probably deserved more credit than it got.

Drops off the "Ring of Slime", a set of three mobs that chain spawn. Drops off the last one, an Acidic mass, along with some other (better) stuff.

The stats if you are the recommended level of 51 are:
38/45, AC10, STA +8, WIS +8, INT +8, HP +50, Mana +50, SV Disease +10, SV Magic +10.

Those stats aren't even close to being right, they just look like that because whoever took that picture was below level 20 at least. I'd guess its probably like 15ac 10 str/wis/int 50 hps/mana 10 sv dis/mag
