I've been farming Seru for over a month for my cleric twink. Gotten every item he drops but this one.. In fact I've killed him every time (I think) he has spawned for the last 5 weeks. Seen 5 rings, and 4 horses drop in my time farming him this last month, and never gotten this is drop... Has anyone seen this drop in the last year or so?
Now, to see you guys flame an item as great as this is pathetic. Only being thta now it has been changed is better that it was when it wasn't dropping that often. The stas are as follows:
Seru's Torque MAGIC ITEM LORE ITEM NO DROP Slot: NECK WRIST ARMS AC: 25 STR: +8 STA: +8 WIS: +8 INT: +8 HP: +100 MANA: +100 SV FIRE: +20 SV DISEASE: +20 SV COLD: +20 SV MAGIC: +20 SV POISON: +20 WT: 3.0 Size: MEDIUM Class: ALL Race: ALL
Quit your complining, now it has more HP/MANA, 8 STR/STA/WIS/INT is added AND can go on your wrist and arms as well. A little clarification for the masses. ;)
SpAz MuNk.
P.S.- Don't ***** because you will never see or own it in your pre-pubescent EQ playing days. =)
What makes this item so uber other than the stats , is the 3 slots it fits in. When you find a better neck, np, just use it in arm slot. Find a better arm, np, use is wrist. Heh, I think you get the point. Theres better items out there but the versatiliy makes this item worth obtaining.

Heh, ummm, Seru is a wuss and getting to him is so easy it funny now days. You can get into the Arx with 1 key. Just have the guy with the key get Rezed / gate out and get another group, also the key quest is really not that hard if you have a group or two that can work on it for a day or two. Seru Himself can be done with ~35 - 40 lvl 61+ people.
The Saves on useable slots are what make this item really nice.
--edit--
Oh ya, I forgot, you dont even need a Bane weapon anymore, just have a Warrior with some good Taunt procing weapons tank him. 95% of this fight is caster even if all your melee are equipped with Bane.
Sorry I can't help this.. why is it that on every single item in the whole equipment database a monk has to say if they can wear it or not. Casters Bracelet of Casting.. AC 20 int 15 wis 15. Str 15 wt 0.1 Monk < wow good item wish my monk could wear it. sheesh.

Same hp/mana, a crap load more stats, a effect that gives 2 mana regen and stacks with everything (doesn't even count towards the 15 flowing thought limit), with only 5 less AC and a little less resists. In other words, this necklace sucks and there are better out there on easier mobs.
Consider the difficulty of Seru. Only two guilds across all the servers have managed to kill him. He's only been killed three times. He can only be damaged by Serubane weapons, which are a huge timesink, are no drop, and require Grandmaster smithing skill. Now...the two guilds that HAVE managed to kill him have been farming ToV for a very long time. That's the gear standard these people had to be at to even have a shot in hell of killing him. So, consider some of the ToV loot they could conceivably be wearing:
Silver Charm of Tranquility LORE ITEM MAGIC ITEM NO DROP AC: +35 Str: +10 Sta: +15 Magic Resist: +8 Fire Resist: +8 Cold Resist: +8 Poison Resist: +8 Disease Resist: +8 HP: +100 Mana: +100 Weight: 0.5 Classes: All Classes Races: All Races Inventory Slot: Neck
Valtron's Necklace of Wonder LORE ITEM MAGIC ITEM NO DROP AC: +35 Str: +15 Agi: +15 Dex: +15 Magic Resist: +15 Fire Resist: +15 Cold Resist: +15 Poison Resist: +15 Disease Resist: +15 HP: +100 Weight: 0.0 Classes: All Classes Races: All Races Inventory Slot: Neck
this is the kind of gear they had going into the fight...a drop like that is patently insulting considering the effort involved in getting it..
For those who stand a chance of looting it, it's crap.
yeah sure those are lighter and have great ac and stats but on a raid this would be better because if im not mistaken ac doesnt help against spells in any way. its the resists that count. even though im a monk and 3 stones is a little heavy i would keep this in bank until my guild went on a raid and i would whip this baby out with all my best resist gear and go kick some ***!
Wow, do we really care what class can use it???? I think we would have asked your opinion on who could use it or what class it's best for if we wanted to hear it. I'm so sick and tired of going down to look at the posts and mabye find a good way of beating the mob or something, and then seeing some dumb *** Monk saying that it's an UBER kick *** Monk only piece. The thing is, if you have a problem with who is getting the loots talk to your Guild. We can't do anything about it, that's not our problem, it's yours. If you don't like your Guild then LEAVE, it's that simple. So stop clogging up our channel with your useless thoughts. It's like people Auctioning in Shout, there's a point to the Auction channel guys ). Thanks
You, sir, are a dumbass. Nowhere in his post did he say it was a monk-only item, nor did he discount any other class from having it. He just said that it was desirable by monks and perhaps one of the ten best neck pieces for them. It says nothing about loot distribution or about who should get this item over who.
Please actually read the post before you flame the person who wrote it.
Probably most of the people that were there when it dropped. It takes a Loong time to get into that place, and into the fight, so the people that were there when he dropped were probably beyond uber and already had better than this from mobs like Vulak or other ToV mobs.
Have to agree, this item should be at least equal in AC and HP to anything in NToV, considering NToV is where people farm to gear up for this fight. What person gives up 10 AC and 25 HP just for an extra +5 in resists?
Now if my 22 rogue had happened to be Sneak/Hide near here when it dropped, that would be a different issue altogether. =)
Maybe some monk that's smoking crack and worried about his weight limit! Seriously there is no class in the game that wouldn't benifit from this, though I could easy say that anyone who expects to pull and hold argo would benifit a bit more than others. Mostly warriors but monks too. Or the shammy that has just too many HP to die :)
