Heroic augmentations can only be obtained by Heroic Characters (see this wiki article for more information about this feature). These augmentations are offered to Heroic Characters as bonus task rewards for completing various mercenary (and possibly partisan?) tasks in early House of Thule zones (see this wiki article for House of Thule progression information). |

These are obtained by doing quests in HoT zones with a heroic character. I've gotten a choice between the +heroic ago or dex. I can't remember which quests for which slot. There are also a type 4 Aug and a shield aug also.

Yep. Caster classes get a choice between hp/mana with heroic wis/int OR hp/mana + spell dmg. The augs seem to share the same names as the melee ones.
Example: Heroic Icy Heart (caster) vs Heroic Icy Heart (melee)
Pretty cool, I think. I haven't quested in HoT for awhile now.. good memories.. and some not-so-good ones
