I think its pretty poor that the stats are so low on this item ,considering where and what it drops off...
yes, the stats are poor, but what makes it so good is the THIRTY FIVE resistance in a RANGED slot! thats pretty amazing in and of it self.

Heres an crack monkey thought..just a thought mind you..but I think it would be funny to see this. There are different stones for different stats...or we think...don't know yet..but if their are...maybe theirs a quest that allows you to combine all the stones into a amulet or into another stone that would give you the +35 to all stats with 1 slot...mind you if they all droped off the warders then that would be a nice reward for collecting them..but unlikey that VI will make it that way..but would be fun if they did.

No need to end your post with "/FLAME ON!" You spoke a reasonable idea, as well as your opinion. I doubt that VI would do that because it would be a bit overpowering. (Unless they made it an epic quest.)
it wouldn't be too overpowering... at the level you need to get these stones, 35 to all resists would be really nice... besides,

Hmm...just a thought -- race specific or religion specific epic quests. We already have class specific, but what about a "Guardian of Tunare" amulet or something? Range slot item is a good idea, or a jewelry slot. Massive resists and a charisma boost would be appropriate as useful to all classes and making sense with a religious symbol. For racial epic items, should be a boost to whatever are the naturally high stats of that race, and a small hit to the weak stats (thus shafting those who chose to be ogre SKs or gnome warriors).

From what i know warders are the gaurds that gaurd the sleeper and are very powerfull... like u need 40 or 50 people... posibly more

think, there will be more around (other color = other sv). and 35 sv will be nice in the range slot. also nice the other stats, decent, but evwerzthing counts...

I can see that being a possibility. However the fact is, currently Ventani has only been killed legitimately once. Only time will tell what else he might drop.
And this is a fantastic item. 35PR in range slow, wow. Great trak gear... too bad most ppl who would be present to loot this would be too uber to even bother with Trak. Maybe it would help in ToVN or something though :)

Those stones are not for daily use but for special encounters like dragon and other boss mob fights. It's awesome to have a resist item that adds +35 to one resist while only using the range slot.
It leaves the other slots free to use stats gear, ac, hp, whatever. And I don't think there are many other items for the range slot that add 35 to a resist.
Nice, would be cool to have a set of those stones for everyone. :) Tho I don't know how rare they are.. proly dropped by the warders.

Not quite as good, but infinitly more attainable if you are an Iksar, is the stone of morid. It's not +35 to a resist but it's +30 to two resists. It is, again, Iksar only, 7 wt, -5sta, +30 to cold and fire resist. Probably two of the more useful resists behind magic. That being said, the resistance stones are always better and I'd much rather have a blue and red resistance stone but.... the stone of morid is MUCH MUCH easier to get. :) GL.

Seems a bit weak when you look at some of the other ranged slot items out there.
