This weapon is 1h Slashing AND Primary only.I recently aquired it, it is also 6/20. lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=22695

/boggle

Please change it to piercing (and)/OR usable in the secondary slot.

You cannot backstab with this weapon. Which is a punch in the face for newb rogues.

I urge you all to /feedback this.

Aye, but not better than a tombcarver... saved up and bought one for 10pp. I like this, though. I may get this for dual wield.
JEALOUS
# Apr 30 2003 at 9:25 AM Rating: Decent
I'm way jealous about all these newbie quests they have presented humen, elfs, halflings, dwarves, etc... BUT WHAT ABOUT OGRES??? They were left without any newbie armor quest, all they can do is make some crappy raw-hide armor they get from beating lvl 10-15 lizardmen, so I say SHAME YOU, Verant, don't forget the chubby folk! >:(

I realize this post is about a month too late for you, but i think the reason that large races dont have noob gear is because the already have such great stats to begin with

bard
# Jun 25 2002 at 9:29 PM Rating: Decent
first time i say a halfling rogue in a full suit of blue armor, im like OMG they let them be bards then i inspect and saw slickfinger and im like WTF and the nice little rogue told me it was there newbie quest so i decide to not let my friend twink me and get the blue armor and the dagger is awesome too!
Very good!

This has a better ratio than a Walrus Tooth (6/22). If you don't care about the STR and STA on that weapon, this is the way to go!
Sigh

Now every halfling newbie will look like they have a shadow rager. Ah well... :)
another nice feature
# Apr 12 2002 at 10:40 PM Rating: Decent
the weight on these weps/armor isnt that high from what ive seen havent looked at it all but the warrior bp is only 5 and this is only 2 this means you can carry around more pelts/fire beetle eyes to make some noob cash

The DE War weapon is 10wt. Very unfair compared to the other weapons that were created for these quests. But I still give cudos to VI for giving the non-twinked newbie a better reward for all the hard work they do.
Very nice

Better than Ashenwood Short Spear or Stiletto of Bloodclaw (sans proc).

I say it's about time Verant recognized that players starting the game would like to be able to kill something on their own and have some sense of accomplishment. It's nice that they are putting in these low level quests with worthwhile rewards so that new players can accomplish something and have good enough gear to kill things that give XP.

Yeah, this one is nice as are MOST of the halfling weapons. But Rangers got screwed hard. 4/27 +1 Str +1Dex. WTF is that? Even the druid weapon is better at 5/30 +2 Wis. And all the halfling gear excepting a couple weapons puts all the DE newbie gear to shame. Maybe that's why the DEs are so hateful. Jealousy. Anyway, I am glad that VI is putting these quests in. I never would have made a DE SK or HLF Ranger otherwise. Now I might have to make a little assling rogue, simply because the armor looks so sweet.
Wheel of Time Dagger

For all of you who have read the Wheel of Time series....This is exactly what I pictured Matt's Ruby hilted dagger from Shadar Logoth to look like =-D

I hope Verant goes around and fixes some of the newbie/lowbie obtainable items for all the races. This Slickfinger stuff is better than a lot of the armor I had even at level 20. This Dirk isn't bad either, looks awfully neat.

scaled bone rapier is 4/27, not 8/27....and does it even come close to looking as uber as the pic??? I highly doubt it.... anyway, see for yourself:
