I wear brown chitin leggings AC +12 STR +5 WIS +4 SV disease +8 HP +25 MANA +25. Far better than an "epic" drop. But that's just my opinion. Plus they have a nice little plate armour look.
I agree, why would anyone use this junk? Shirts not half bad tho, i wish to could sell Shirt and Legs in Bazaar on Tunare 
does the BST keep this at the end of his quest? or is it turned in like the SK epic armor is?

the final drops are all kept. You kill teh dark animist, and get a quest item, and i believe 2-3 other drops. Of the drops, the "armor" is all bst only, there are some other jewlery and a ranged item that all classes can use.
