Not sure if Sony intended this, but kronos are a great way to move plat between your toons on different servers. Buy a krono on one server for say 200k, log into another server, there's the krono on your toon. Sell it on new server for 200k. Ta-da - you just moved 200k plat from one server to another.

I've seen a barter price of 180k so far on my server. In my limited research I've found 110k of plat costs $9.50 on the "black market". With my horrible math I think it ends up being roughly $16.34 in "black market" costs. This is a perfect way I think for people who have a crap ton of plat to basically be able to pay for free.
I think they are charging $17.99 for the Krono's as a luxury tax basically. It's a smart move on their part because this is a "scammer" proof way of getting yourself game time and plat for that matter. I'm hoping that people shell out more then 180k for this but thats just wishful thinking on my poor poor character self.
