DELETE MNK, WAR and ROG from the loot table and you got an item that actually makes sense!!
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 19 2004 at 3:46 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Look at what EQ is making us do! We squabble about loot. Instead of making a huge raid mob drop a few class-restricted items, they make it drop one, so that only one person can benefit and the rest can drool over it and feel used. I resent that...hehe...and frankly if I have to waste my health on worrying about **** like that I would rather not go anywhere and have fun doing other stuff than raid for items.

thats prolly cause you have never had something with a 2k ae and a 1.6 quad hitting mob in your face...well this is him...nuff said.

Okay listen up this is an item from a teir 4 plane so all you people that are not even on teir two planes cool your jets. By the time a guild is equiped enough to take out this mob most likly all classes will be very decked out in high end gear. So a monk/war/rogue putting in for this is not the greatest crime against humanity by a long shot. Having your pullers have more hps is always good same with having your huge damage dealing rogues. And ofcourse you can not kill a mob if you tank goes down faster than a white house intern.

#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 19 2004 at 4:08 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Oh, forgot to add. With the new expansion (Gates of Discord) melee now also need mana. So this prolly means that they can benefit from FT effect. Right?

no, it should go to hybrids every time

theres more than enough vengeance and hp regen rings for pure melee.

hell i hate seeing a pure melee wearing an aten neck. total waste of ft 8. Theres plenty of other neck items with good stats, and the 8 points of hp regen is just not as necessary as the mana regen

always funny how 99% of the people who post comments on the uber stuff will not have any chance at getting the item until 2 years later when its just a mediocre item

edit: There are several warriors using this ring. Uber guilds need uber tanks with huge ammounts of hit points.

FT3 is really awesome for bards. We only get mana from FT and mental clarity AA. Clarity and mana regen songs dont affect us. I have FT5 and MC2. i've talked to bards with FT15

Every hybrid I know cares alot about mana regen, The other day I was grped with 2 bards on a raide twisting seperate mana regen songs. I only have one FT 1 item and Kei on and there songs was something like 60 + combined mana per tick I never went oom useing grp heals and assist healing the entire fight was nearly 15 mins.

any group that would even allow a warrior/Monk/Rogue to roll on this should have thier accounts canceled....

Complete waste of +12Wis +12Int +120Mana and FT3, on a ring, should be a crime....

This should be hybrid only....

moron look at the rest of the stats by the time you are able to get a grp to go raid for this ring you will already have a high wis int now that is not to say that they are not usefull to have even higher ones but look at the rest of the stats any kind of meleer should be able to roll for this ring since it would benifit all now the mana regen is nice to be sure but to tell the truth so is the str agi and stam witch i may add would be nice for a warrior bard or rog to have since it would let them free up a slot that they could put to better use or if nothing else make them a better tank since this will most likely to be better than the ring they currently have on

Hmm ya your pretty dumb. Hybrids have very few FT items to chose from. This is a good one, decent for a Pal/SK and excellent for Rng, Bst and Brd.

Overall the stats on this ring arent so great for a tank, warriors will probably want a better ring than this, with more AC/HP - and its only +10Sta.

However all hybrids will be drooling over FT3.

As a pally I am sort of in both camps. The FT is awesome, but the tank stats are kinda low. (AC and resists are low, HP are decent). Still, given the chance to take this ring I probably would, I guess I can make up the AC on other slots - its worth dropping some AC for FT3.

Oh Rynth, you're so wrong it's difficult to quantify. Your comment "now the mana regen is nice to be sure but to tell the truth so is the ..." amazed me. And you call someone else a moron? You know what? The FTIII is the ONLY stat that's relevent. The other stats are merely icing on the cake. And very pretty icing at that!

The poster who said any group who allowed a non-mana using class to roll on this should have their accounts cancelled was absolutely right. Any warrior, monk or rogue who didn't pass on the roll should be tarred and feathered, THEN have their account cancelled.

Punctuation is good. Punctuation is your friend.

Jesus, it's so damn obvious you are completely new to the game. FT items goes straight to mana people which includes casters and hybrids. Now since robes can use this, guess whose left? Please don't try to talk at a level you don't even comprehend.

Since flowing thought effects stack forget what the cap is its unlikely a Hybrid would be at the cap. Can say in my guild this item would only go to a Hybrid being pal,sk,rng, bst. This would only default down to a War if all the above had one or better in that slot. Mana regen is a huge part of the end game and is not just tossed to the side without serious consideration.

You forgot the humble Bard! FT is incredibly important to us, our own songs for mana regen don't even work. We can use every stat it gives, and I'm drooling for this one.
I do not know of a better Bard ring in the game.

Flowing Thought cap is 15 (unless it changed with PoP). Yup, it's hard enough for wisdom casters to max FT. I personally know of no hybrid who has.

It's possible, but I doubt many hybrids would care about it besides someone like muoi. What's with warriors & monks getting FT items these days though? Seems a little STOOPID...but then again what can I expect?

wow, today im in agreeance with many peeps....
and Lord Anbori is no exception

granted the stats are GREAT for any and every class, but war/monk usable boggles me. if i saw a war/monk rolling on this id be all "ill rochambeau you for it"(see southpark)

FT3 is great, and usually reserved for casters only. being a SK, this is one of the rare FT3 items i can use. sure, boots of flowing slime are SK usable, but stat wise they suck, and are far better suited for a caster.

it all boils down to consideration. a monk/war winning this item while rolling against others that need it is the same as an enchanter winning an earring of endless speed or another caster winning a vengence anything item. when its dropable loot, there is always the greed factor, but when nodrop put aside some "i wanna be more ubah" and consider whats best overall for the guild/group/whatever
hmm

what to do...this ring has nice hp on it but i really would hate to see a rogue/monk/warrior get this over a hybrid beeotch because it has awesome mana and the effect:/

yea we need this effect as much as we need c3 or as much as a wizzy needs something like improved damage but hey my ranger would love this

Actually, wizards LOVE to increase their damage. Who sends tells to high level magicians asking for our summoned damage bonus bracer?

Yup, it's our fellow nukers the wizards. Then they send tells saying "hey, my nukes went from x to X, I love that bracer!"
