This staff would be useful in PoP.
Once your golem/giant/big-bad-thing is slowed, and your tank has appropriate armor, skills, etc, then you can throw this Gheal in a few times to save mana.
Healing Gift 3 and Healing Adept 3 would help too.

This staff was awesome before Verant Nerfed it (It BEGGED nerf me)
Reason:
It had a ZERO cast time. In other words, uninterruptable. The only thing that could stop me from healing was if I were stunned (or went LD).
I made it through most of 53, all of 54, and all of 55 in about 10 days. It was probably the most fun I had ever had in EQ :)
Does the staff still drop in VP? It could easily be the best drop in most/all of VP.

yep still drop in VP but 5 sec casting time now but it is still a great item

400 hp every 5 sec and you will only use it to pl your guild mate ? are you stupid ?
with this staff i am never oom in a fight i just need to right click to heal
i agree it is not a very good heal for raid but this staff rule in xp group and i am very happy to have it
