Effects
# Oct 03 2002 at 1:20 AM Rating: Excellent
What the guy meant was until 50, the effects of stats is vanishingly small...
40 STR before 50 raises your mean dmg by 3% roughly...
40 AGI raises your AC by 8 roughly...
40 DEX means you proc 1% more often???
Warrriors and monks need to go with AC/HP armor for a LONG while...
to the guy who don't need stats
# Dec 27 2001 at 2:38 PM Rating: Excellent
The guy that told you that you do not need stats entill level 50 is a FOOL!!!!
EXAMPLE
DEX- Helps you proc the weapons that proc!
STR- adds a strength dammage and helps you carrie the heavy armor and loot
STA- Adds HP and we all know warriors with more HP are likely to last longer

These are just a few examples. Think about it before you make a finnal decision.

There are better shoulders out there that are pretty cheap or easy to get with better stats (Tattered Mantle for one), but if you there is a choice between this or Crested Spaulders, I'd go with Crested. Stamina makes up more than the miniscule bonuses you get from Crafted.

BTW, stats are not unimportant, they are just secondary.
stats

I personnally dont care about stats. A level 60 warrior told me that until like lv 50 you dont need stats but Only VERY high ac. so 12 ac isn't that bad
A good alternative set of pauldrons

For those of you who either can't afford to buy Crafted Pauldrons, can't find anyone selling them, or can't/won't quest for them, there is a good alternative set of pauldrons.

To All With Crafted
# Oct 28 2001 at 7:37 PM Rating: Decent
Well crafted is great i just finished my quest for it. to the lvl60 warr if you have crafted upgrade to warlord alot better or even champian if you can't do the warlord armour yet.
I plain on keeping most of it for a long time and i got it all at lvl27 not hard quest.

Good luck to all Warriors.
Crafted Pauldruns

These aren't that good. This quest is a time-waster more than anything. Shoulders are a good slot for MR for a warrior, so bloodstained mantle makes this look like the joke that it is. Crafted has some of the dumbest stats, but at least the ac is good.
type of armor
# Jul 20 2001 at 6:46 AM Rating: Good
crafted is considered plate armor so...iksars can't wear it even though they have warriors too.
Crafted Pauldron
# Jun 25 2001 at 11:31 AM Rating: Good
Crafted is some good armor that will last you until you get to the plains. I certainly plan on having mine that long unless my guild finds something nicer they dont want.

But as for the Pauldron.... I had an easier time gettting the Bp than this piece. But now that my druid is 31 and my guild is raiding on a weekly basis (if not two or three smaller raids a week) i should have no problem getting the runes... and R.E. drops some nice Alloy stuff now too.

Good luck all you warriors!

is this the only part of the crafted that Iksar can wear?

This screenshot was pre-kunark, so Iksars can't use. It would be cool if they could though =)
How long with crafted?
# May 31 2001 at 7:44 PM Rating: Default
I have a lvl 24 warrior with alot of crafted stuff, and I am wondering, what lvl should I stop wearing crafted? When does it get to bad for my lvl?

Size of Pauldron
# May 21 2001 at 10:32 AM Rating: Default
I have a question i accidently bought a small crafted pauldron for my warrior, but he is a half elf and cannot wear the small size, is there a way to increse the size from small to medium. I need to know cause i haven't found a person willing to trade a small for a med. If your on the torvonillous, pardon my spelling, and wish to help me give Komir a tell.
RE: Size of Pauldron
# Jun 01 2001 at 8:09 AM Rating: Default
I know I am suppose to give you a tell, but halflings can wear medium crafted, I have been told that changing the size just reduces the weight, so just try putting it on. And if it doesnt work (it probably will), all you have to do is give talk to the two dwarves in WC, they can "resize your crafted armor".
RE: Size of Pauldron
# Jun 02 2001 at 1:08 PM Rating: Decent
That is incorrect. They can only make it from one-size-fits-all to small. Not the other way around. It is small and there is no way to change it. Only halflings, wood elves, gnomes, dark elves, and dwarves may use it now. On Torv, look for Gonwen in-game, he is interested.
question
# Feb 18 2001 at 12:57 AM Rating: Default
this is a nice item with the 12 ac...although the +2 str and sv magic are pathetic. would any of you laugh at a level 60 warrior with one of these on? i dunno if i would =) imo this is a good item for any level because of the 12 AC anyone agree?
new question

RE: question
# May 04 2001 at 10:04 AM Rating: Default
I dont laugh at poeple with it on its cool looking and i see 50+'s all the time with it on, i am still looking for the Pauldruns and BP, i can buy the BP but pauldruns are hard to find. i have been wearing crafted armor sence about level 7, im a little bit of a twink but not really, all i have i used my friends druid to port for money and made the money my self. just yesterday i bout a Wurmslayer, at level 29 i love it and will soon be leveling really fast

I wouldn't laugh at any warrior -- we are really nice folks to have as friends!
Actually, I just sold mine yesterday for 400pp -- fellow said that was the only piece lacking for his full suit of crafted. Now, I have to try and recruit more guildmates to accompany me to Runnyeye once more to get them. They really are quite nice, particularly since they are questable and you don't have to pay item farmers for them with loot that is incredibly hard for untwinked warriors to accumulate.
RE: question
# Feb 26 2001 at 1:02 AM Rating: Excellent
I wouldn't laugh, personally, and not because I fear that warrior. I wouldn't because, as you said, it's a great item. Trust me, those bonuses may seem weak, but when they save your life because you could possibly deal that extra point of damage, or resist the spell that might have killed you, they're suddenly the greatest thing around. :)
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 04 2001 at 5:25 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hey, I wouldn't laugh, but I WOULD feel sorry for that guy. A 60 using THIS is pretty sad. Rygorr has what? 18 ac? And some good stats, and thats EASIAR for a 60 to get then this hunk of junk.
RE: question
# Aug 08 2001 at 7:28 PM Rating: Decent
Sorry - there are no Cobalt Shoulder Pieces. Kunark Armor is Head, Wrists, Arms, Chest, Legs, and Feet only...
RE: question
# Mar 10 2001 at 3:08 AM Rating: Excellent
They are good. Im a 39 war..and i still have a bronze bp..now that is laughable. I have crafted and rygorr everything else. Just the BP is the tough one to find..hard to get anything really affordable. But at lvl 60 i would hope you would have some kind of cobalt..if there is a shoulder slot cobalt or at least some of the new velious class armor.

I think you should try buying a Dusty Breastplate. It isnt very expensive, and same 22ac but with 5 STA and 20hp. I have on currently and I love it. Doh but wait, you might not be a small race :).

to the 39 warrior with the bronze bp. You should just go and quest a crafted, get yerself a group and do it up, not too hard)
RE: question
# Mar 12 2001 at 2:33 PM Rating: Good
Cobalt is hard hard hard to get. I'm not sure if any "normal" player has more than one or two pieces if they're lucky (there's always exceptions of course). Anyhow, at level 45 I still wear these things. They do have good AC, though I hope when I upgrade I'll find something with some more stats...
RE: question
# Mar 20 2001 at 11:55 AM Rating: Good
Well I'm in the mid 50's as a warrior and these are good but always looking to better them but not a priority. I have hunted a few times and many hours in Kael Drakkel hoping to get something there but as anything good it is always rare or very rare drops and finally when it does drop there seems to be 10 warriors with you wanting it as well. <praying for the roll of his life> but to end in you rolling a 5 in the lotto. Use what you get and be proud but always ask for buffs.
From a warrior with all the buff he can beg for but finally gets then can't see anything but the effect on screen.

Look and one day you will find
