This sword and some others are for a series of quests called Weapons of the grunt, each stage makes the weapon better till you reach its best stats, im not sure if the end result is no drop, been a while since i looked up the quest
Here is a classic exmaple of NoDrop abuse by VI. What, if any logical reason should this fairly unimpressive weapon, which is not even magical, be NoDrop?
No Drop is a horrible tool for bad Anti Twinking coding. Wish they never made this silly restriction. Some much loot just goes to rott in NToV today and other zones due to NoDrop.
With the new Reccomended Level coding, why cant it be fixed in that manor. Say lvl 58+ for NToV loots. Silly waste of resources.
I got a claw of the grunt (same stats 10/32 not magic) from one of the first parts of the beastlord epic off of a grimmling officer along with 2 bags both 8slot 1.0wt 25% reduction GIANT size, the scalp (for quest) and some kind of note (not sure what its for) let 2 lower level beastlords that were watching and helping me loot the bags and claws very easy mini quest, prolly could have solo'd it, but me (51) a 42 and a 37 beastlord did it no problem.
Yes all of "The Grunt" weapons are for a quest you can turn them in and get a magic version of them with the same stats and usualy +4 grimling bane damage.
If you plan to fight grimlings this is a 14/32 not that bad of a weapon
