What do they look like? Maybe get them just for the fashion value for my little baby bard.

Yes, I would say that there are much lighter items that offer more protection for the legs with better stats. They are like Steel Greaves only heavier and with a +5 Fire Resist . I would price them not far off from the Steel Greaves if I were buying or selling.
