Legends Server Only ItemAll the Sea Forged weapons are now on the Test Server (I don't play on production servers, but they might be there too.).
Sea Forged Weapons drop off of:
-a pirate
-a skeletal pirate
-a fallen pirate
-a vengeful pirate
-a scruvy wench
Sea Forged are better than rusty and bronze, and certainly better than paying for a Combine weapon since these are MAGIC.
They are also a great way to build up some bank plat in your teens, as they sell decently to vendors:
-the Dagger sells for 5gp.
-the Longsword sells for 3pp.
-the Shortsword sells for 2pp.
-the Mace sells for 1pp.
-the Halberd sells for 4pp.

You don't have to transfer a character to the Legends server. Some or most people did but alot of people didn't and just started as a newbie. I personally didn't move my Highest level character. I moved a few of my secondaries over.

I don't understand what Verant is trying to do with the Legends server. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought that you could take all of your gear with you when you transfered there and no newbie is going to start EQ on Legends. Why are they spending time making crappy items like this when no one is going to use them and they could be making new spells/zone/good armor. Thanks for the CT though =)

It's funny. Everyone that posts here seems to be of the mind that they won't start a new character unless it's twinked with 40ish gear minimum. Personally, I give my lower characters items too so I don't have a problem with it.
Thing is I opened a Legends account and the highest character I moved was a level 21. None of those characters except for one have very good equipment. I moved to Legends because it's low population. I don't want to be on a server where every place you go is camped. So, it's nice to have weapons like this for lower level characters. It's also nice that even though SH is really top heavy in terms of the average level of characters there, Verant still throws some bones to lower level people that aren't twinked. These Sea Forged weapons were from a little one day event in Oasis. The pirates were there one day, gone the next.

Personally, I didn't move any characters to Stormhammer. I started a character on there. I bought this sword from the Innkeep in Northern Ro for 4 pp. It beat the hell out of the Rusty long sword I had before it.
You have the option of transferring your chars w/ all items and stuff to legends, but if you subscribe and don't move chars to all 8 spots, you can start new characters...at least, that's how I understood it. I'll just stay on my crappy mith marr server, watching the guild leader slowly **** off ppl one by one, till I'm the only person left.
