Oddly enough, this also dropped from A Thule Tae Ew Despoiler, a rare lizard at the top of the temple in mudbowl area. We couldn't believe it when it died and this was on corpse, as it's the Adepts rare drop. Perhaps the Despoiler has this as common, and something even better than LB Ear as a rare?

This camp isn't a cakewalk. To give you an idea what getting to this guy is like, we had 4 people (Pal, Cle, Monk, Ench) breaking and holding 4c with ease, then we head to mudbowl, get the same 4 plus a Bard and a Rog and had an extremely hard time there, eventually getting help from another Pal and Shaman to take out Despoiler. Granted Cazic Thule itself has become a relatively easy zone in the face of PoP, but even a group of 65's can find a good challenge in the mudbowl area. Pulling there is very, very rough.

I have no idea what one of these sells for on Morell Thule, but for 35-40k one can get a Bloodmetal Earring of Engagement, with 7 ac 8 STA and 70 hp, among other stats...non-lore as well as for all/all. With those being PC made, it's possible to farm for the items needed and get a guildie with good jewelcraft to crank you out one. Slightly less hp, more ac...and seems like it's cheaper *shrug*. Granted, ac is still important to me, since I haven't hit 1300 yet(getting there though! think I'm at 1280 hehe), so this may be more valuable to a melee with 1300+ ac.

Pickup group of 60 Monk,60 Shaman,60 Enchanter,60 Rogue(me),60 Wizard,60 Cleric were at the 4 Corners area for about 3 hours on Saturday. Named that drops this earring has a lot of hits but is actually easier to kill than most of the monsters in the area. You get 5 wanderers when your there and the raptors see through invis and my sneak and hide.(unlike the ones I encountered in the courtyard and maze) Most monsters can be slowed. The monk (Heeman on Ayoae Ro) won the roll for the earring. Grats Heeman.

Overpriced?
# Jul 18 2002 at 1:42 AM Rating: Default
I wouldn't pay more than 10k, considering the Earring of the Solstice(LORE ITEM NO DROP
AC: +5 Sta: +5 Wis: +8 Int: +8 Magic Resist: +5 Fire Resist: +5 Cold Resist: +5 HP: +55 Mana: +55) is a much better buy at 15-20k(on Zeb.). Granted the mosquito eye earring and lizard bone earring are not lore nor no drop.

This earing would give my lvl 60 monk over 100 hitpoints. Notice its not lore... Thats over 200 hp's on his ears!!! That would indeed be godly. Wish I had the pp to burn... Oh well, just need to spend the time hunting for them. Good XP in CT anyhew.

lol.. this item is well worth more then 10k.. why is this item so much money? stam and hit points both on an earring.. you cant find that anywhere plain and simple if your a mellee class this earring is godly for you.. if your a caster .. no its not worth 100k .. id much rather have earring of sol and earring of resistance.. considering the money issue.. but if im mellee and i have this kinda money i would spend it for one in a heart beat.. that is if i couldnt just get a grp of buds and go camp for it myself lol..
good luck!
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 12 2002 at 4:49 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ok I've read lots of peeps say "If your melee this is godly for you". IHM this is not worth a second thought. (leased of all 100k) uless I win the roll to loot it! Would rather have an earing with 100+ hp and 30+ ac!

Not even entirely sure that's english... leased of all??... but anyways 130 hps in my ear at 60, bout 140 at 65, thats huge, unless you play a high level warrior who scrounges for every HP they can find to make everyone elses lives easier, you will never understand.
RE: Overpriced?

AC is irrelevant once you exceed the soft cap. Stamina and Hit Points become much more important, and the PR/DR are a nice bonus, as is the Dex, which will aid with procs.

not overpriced for anyone seeking HPs.
I think 1 STA at lvl 60 gives 6 HPs for a warrior ... so for a war without maxed STA at level 60, this thing gives 130 HPs.

130 HPs on an ear... would I pay 100k for this? I don't have 100k so nope - but I'll happily kill myself multiple times trying to camp it =p
RE: Overpriced?
# Oct 10 2002 at 7:53 PM Rating: Decent
You dont buy the actual earring. You buy the "gifts" that are required for the quest to get the earring. On Drinal the "9 Gifts" go for about 12k.
RE: Overpriced?
# Jan 22 2003 at 10:08 AM Rating: Decent
if you just make a list of all the gifts you can get them for around 6-7k, that's why people are always selling sets of gifts for like 9k
RE: Overpriced?
# Aug 11 2002 at 4:27 PM Rating: Default
well that depends on the class using it.i see this earring for a warrior or monk worth much more, due to the 5 more sta, and 15 more hps ,giving the warr about 60 more hps (guess ).
and also other classes looking for more hps, this is the 1 to go.
so yes,definately worth more then 10 K

I would just like to say I won this item in a pickup group in CT, yes all the people were 60 plus and most had sleepers keys, but this camp can be done with one group especialy if some one knows the area. Fell for us on the brown lizard on the left corner as you enter the area. He hit around 300s but was slowable and pretty easy to single pull for the monk, Just wanted to metion the price on the earing stated is junk, within about 2 hours of winning the earring I had 3 offers and I did not even want to sell it, 2 offers were for 60k plat right then and there monk wanted to buy it off me before I could even equip it, and the third told me 60k and maybe a trade was doable, and I was not even selling, so just an FYI if you are selling one for 6k or 8k please contact me I will buy it from you for 10k and you can keep the profit, :) otherways I would say that this earring sells for at least 60-80k.

This camp CAN be taken by 1 group. I did it lastnight. the named is rather rare however. We were there for about 3 hours and saw the PH every time. The day before my guild had a group there for 8 hours...they got 2 named and both times got the Fleshgrinder. Don't bother attempting this camp with less than a full group of well equipped 60's and even then you better know what you're doing.

As for price... I've seen several people on Emarr offering in excess of 150k and they have had no success in finding them. Good luck on buying one.

I never saw him reference that he'd gotten it. I agree that X class should get item X for X,Y,Z reasons get's old very fast... who cares.

What MoB that has X item, attributes and location of said MoB are the information I seek.
With that kind of information I can determine timing/resorces I need to bring to bear or if it's possible at all for me to attempt to get item X, buy or just drool for a moment then forget item X.
I couldn't careless why class X should get item X or some Uber pontificating on someone being a NooB...

Your high horse is meaningless too me. For I am a Ranger and don't need a sinking horse... :P

(I have never posted before but I am now)

I have to say that I for one I am so sick of hearing all the crying over who gets what, what items should not be for x class or what items should be for this x class, or this item was made with x class in mind. Great if you feel that way but get real, there is not a class out there that could not find this item and so many more that you all seem to grip about beneficial. It all comes down to this, if you get an item like this then you are darn lucky to have it I don’t care what class you are.

I would think that most people would be posting beneficial information on here instead of taking up good space with such horse manure. (Not my real choice of wording but it will get my point across)

Why not try saying how to get this item if you all know so much or how about giving some advise to the newbies that come on here dreaming of items like this. You are not just making a donkey out of yourselves but you are also busting some dreams of younger players as well, but I know just by the attitude that most of you don’t give a flying flip about that.

For those of you that do not partake of this childlike action of crap slinging my hat off to you and please understand that my remarks are for those that need to go back to kindergarten and work on their play well with others.

that is so funny how you make such a great speach and get repleys back to it about how they think its good for this class or that class...did they even read what you wrote vizslaz? i have to agree 100% you are right people are quick to lay claims on crap and less quick to help out the "noobs" well just so everyone knows, 4c is located near the wiz portal into CT, at what was once called the pyramid, there are lots of roamers but the adept pops in one of the corners, i think its the corner to your left as you pass through the door that opens to 4c, there are 2 gaurds at the door as well, beware this camp is a tough camp and is definitly made for a solid group...im sure there is some lvl 55 out there who boasts he can take this camp but if you want to be safe go with 60+ and an enchanter is extremely handy) nice post man, and this is my first post to...you inspired me=)

I'm sorry but there are appropriate classes for certain items and this one, beacause of the +'s to HP and Mana clearly says that is was meant for a hybrid class if I was in a group and this dropped a SK or Pally would be the first peeps I'd give this to. Just my two cents worth.

4k hps unbuffed for a warrior is not so hard to reach with a good quild that does HoT in ToV plus doing a few other + hps quests.

5k hps unbuffed is much harder to reach and would involve a very good guild ie..one that is of lvl ie mostly all lvl 60s and can do NTov and can work well together...

6k hps unbuffed..? Well not sure if anyone is yet but with PoP comming who knows what Lovely item verants is cooking up for us "0)

If you were in a pick up group or some silly guild who still randoms items you may get this earing over a warrior I suppose...But thats just silly ...*)

heehe lvl 60 Main tanks with 3K hit points unbuffed? I must be doing ok then cause this earring will get me over 5K hit points unbuffed... thats almost 7K Hps fully buffed... that = a few more seconds for me to get that complete heal when fighting an Uber mob somewhere that drops great caster loot for the casters in my guild to get. All those slots with + Hit Points in them add up Clan Silvermoon. no wonder the tanks you group with only have 3K hit points unbuffed. you don't let them get any of the hitpoint + gear. I'll take one of these NP! now to find that mob that drops it.

See People offering 100k for a pair on the veeshan server. Although i dont think many would sell this. We got one the other night and it went to our MT. The extra HP's are very nice for a War.
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 22 2002 at 2:40 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Good grief! 70 extra HP are nice for a war?!? Give me a break, 70HP doesn't do *anything* for a high lvl warrior when the unbuffed HPs are at 3k and buffed ones are above 5k.
RE: .
# Apr 24 2002 at 8:28 PM Rating: Good
You clearly know nothing.

First off, the high end warriors float around 4-5k unbuffed hitpoints, the best being up to almost 5800.

Secondly, the only important stat to a high end warrior is hitpoints. AC is easy to get into the upper 1300s in the end game and taunt weapons are easy to come by. So when tanking mobs like AoW with insane melee output you need all the hitpoints you can get.

Our MA has been Chealed where 20 hitpoints coming from some unknown slot was the difference between him living and us wiping out.

Thirdly, there are items with 100hp for every slot for a warrior, except legs and only one earring. This has 70hp, and i believe only one has more (at 75hp), save the Sigil Earring of Veracity which is 100hp.

Fourthly, look at Furor's profile located by clicking the following link. He is the guildleader of FoH, undisputably the number one eq guild yadda yadda yadda... and is a warrior. Ask yourself WHY he chooses his gear.

This can be done with 1 group. It takes a very good group to do it though. We killed the Adept with a cleric, chanter, ranger, wizzy, monk, and warrior. The mob flurries a lot, and does quite a bit more damage than most of the lizards. Our tank had about 7k hps buffed (Afterlife uberness) and he didnt seem to have much of a problem handling this guy. He dropped the fleshgrinder for us, not a bad common drop. We only had 1 death in the camp in 2 hours... silly ranger forgot to turn off attack on an enraged mob... instant death.

Slow landed right after I malosini it, then its about a 5 to 10mins fight.
and I think cleric only heal sk once, thats about it.

and reply to other post, yes we ROLL on it.
I got it with 79 beat second high by 4.
I havn't hold it for less than 10 sec rogue ask me if I want to trade it for FT3 Boots, I didn't know the PC at that time so I trade it, even I might get ripped off; FT3 boots is more useful to me than this earring.
