Prowler Pelt  

 

Combine: The pelt, simple sewing needle, and a plated filament in a loom. This is all noted in the detail of your quest log.

Drop: I got it off an aggressive prowler. There does not seem to be a specific spot where there are many prowlers. They roam around the zone. Not a fun camp because of this. But, at least they drop from different types of prowlers, probably any kind of prowler.

Quest: For "Mercenary Recruitment" quest started in POK. New from the patch in January 2012. It will allow you to have an extra mercenary availble to you once completed, if you have slots left for another. It was stated in the patch notes that you needed to be master level (300) in the 7 basic tradeskills to get this quest. But, I have seen some who weren't quite there yet get the quest and do parts of it. I do not know if they were able to finish the quest. I cannot seem to find the actual quest listed here yet, though. Please post a link if you find it.

Note: At first I thought combines might be No-Fail, but this is not true. The combine I failed was the "Valley Wood" (fletching item). Though I am 300 skill in fletching this is the only tradeskill I haven't completed the level 7 trophy in yet. It suggests that if you are not 300 skill you will have problems with combines, or you may always fail. Good luck.
