I've been camping this drop for several years now on both PC side and Mac side. I have noticed on thing about the camp this drops in. The room they drop in there is 3 mobs in. Each mob in this room can be a PH for a swirling red mass. However depending on where he spawns will determine what he drops. If it's to the left and close to the entrance it will be the boots, if it's to the left center it will be the root earring. If it's to the right, it will be the ring.

For giggles I spent a week keeping one named up while killing the other two and named never popped. So it can only be in one spot at a time.

Fishs dont see invis, but its a bug u can avoid
# Jun 16 2005 at 3:17 PM Rating: Decent
When u enter CT zone, a bug makes the fishes very near of you, on wall. So you take immediatly aggro with thems, and even invised, they immediatly attack you when you reach the bottom of the water pit.

For avoid this, u need to be invised BEFORE entering CT zone, and go directly to sewers after zoned in CT. Fishes will not attack you )'

doing this camp real easy, 61 ranger with 61 druid.
Invis up to the camp.
i pull with harmony. all i have to do is invis then move in the pool as far as possible from spawns (right side when entering room) then simply pull to safe spot (previous room).
they hit in the mid 200s but really fast. i slow with Swarmcaller, lands basically 2/3 times. i'd say they have about 10k hp, and the "pool of goo" enrages at 10%. they of course summon.
Lowest Level Usable For Boots
# Apr 10 2004 at 1:29 PM Rating: Decent
Some of the messages below say that you can use the boots of flowing slime at level 1-40 - and others say 51+ only.

Can these be used below level 51? Were they once usable below 51 but then got nerfed to 51+? Or is the person who said they are usable at 1-40 just not in full possession of all the facts.

Thanks in advance... :-)
RE: Lowest Level Usable For Boots
# Sep 14 2004 at 2:18 AM Rating: Default
Yes it is true, these were usable pre-51 but was nerfed over a year ago when many of the "Required/Recommended" levels were added to items. I missed out on a set in the Xegony Bazaar for 25K then I noticed this change and did not feel so bad for not getting them. It’s too bad because now that I am 51 there are many better items for me, and much cheaper I might add, for this slot. : ( Still a good piece for a pure caster but not my lonely Hybrid. I believe many old world items went by the wayside because of the "Required/Recommended" add on and all the newer better items added with each expansion. Like many of the old quest these could use a little tweaking.

Worthless at level 51? Sure, the stats suck, but, I'd rather use these than what my druid is using now (Golden Efreeti Boots).

Assuming you can get 65% extended KEI in PoK and you donate 50 pp for each cast and it lasts >4 hours for 103,000 pp you can have KEI on you for 343 days. Now that's assuming that there's no lvl 60 Enc on any raid you go on. So you'd pretty much have to be insane to pay 103,000 pp for these. That is of course unless you're one of those people who has a ton of money. The reason this costs so much is cuz there's people with way too much money who are willing to pay any amount for items. Flame away.

Correct me if I'm wrong (I've never played a caster to a significant level) but the effect on these boots stack with and work in addition to any form of enchanter-casted clarity, including KEI. And more mana regen is always a benefit.

Then considering this is one of the very few droppable items with Mana Regeneration 3 (FT III) then I can undetstand why a caster would pay that much for them.
RE: Let's see
# Mar 31 2004 at 5:21 AM Rating: Default
the thing is with the introduction of FT augments and much better gear IE: ornate pieces with FT effect on them that also have much better stats, paying that much would really be a waste.
RE: Let's see
# Apr 01 2004 at 1:33 PM Rating: Excellent
I disagree. With just these boots and a type 7 mana regen +2 augment (FT2), these boots would be FT5 (one-third of your max FT of 15 using only one slot). That's pretty huge if you ask me.

Peeps should sell every item for the most that they can get for it. Peeps should not buy items for more then they are worth. Do not complain if someone is making plat doing this. Supply and demand. Some items sell too cheap. FT3 is not even close to being as good as KEI or VoQ obiously, however it adds to KEI or VoQ and every other mana buff up to FT15. I will pay 100K for these but I bought plat because I do not have the time to farm plat. $100.00 is alot of money to spend on these boots but I have 600hours on this char and plan to spen many more hours. As a 65CLR I stare at HP bars and Mana bars so I can notice a difference. Non-stop pulls in BoT and raids require mana regen better then just KEI ansd VoQ to keep up unless you are lucky and have a MT with 8,500+ HP that can hold agro off the slower. I hate paying more then 20K for anything but as I guess I will work some overtime and buy more plat. This Item can rot in the baz for 150K. Value to each peep depends on his or her situation for time and money.

If I bought 1,000,000 plat today the amount of available platinum on the server would be the same as it was before I bought it.
yes, but that 1,000,000 wasnt circulating around the server before it was sold. Lets say theres only 50mil pp in a server, there will always be that same 50milpp cap, but then lets say that all the plat sellers have 3mil each. Theres at least 5 companies so thats 15million pp being with held from the server, making it so there is only 35k actively ciruclating around the server at the time.

Without proper gear, you are clearly left behind, as I'm sure you are aware.
THen you get level one's, that are little kids that just steal money from their parents just so they can buy pp. Then they talk about how all the gear for players who dont buy pp is so ******, causing normal players to fall behind average. and you get characters like The majority of the pp is already in pp form, not just on merchants/mobs. Now that means its just circulating mainly in those pp buyers. If you dont have the time to farm plat/items to sell, then you probally dont deserve the items u get with it. Some people say, i spend my time at work, and then just buy a little pp. but see, if it just came down to that, eq would be more screwed over as it is slowly beingcoming now. I mean a person making minimum wage if he works 3 hours gets 50k. Now to some of the higend players 50k in 3 hours is barely ne thing, but then again, most of those high end players have no use for pp, and their usually the ones who sell to people. Now a normal job paying $25 an hour in 8 hours or one day would have enough to buy the equivalent of 500kpp, which other than the supreme oddity of someone farming aow, no one can make this.

also if ur spending 25 bucks a month on power from ur computer u gotta piece of **** computer. Most computers take less power than a night lite if the screen is off, and why leave it on during the night? if u turn off at night mabye over a month ull save .50 cents.

Also items like swiftblade of zek, cloak of flames, and other twink items would not go for as much. People who sell high end twink items know that there are a ton of mysupersales buyers out there and they put their prices up high.

You know... if you, and others like you, didn't *buy* your plat, the prices wouldn't be so darn high you HAVE to buy it. :-(

Its that market saturation that is killing the economies on all the servers. And its the same people that buy these boots when they see them for below thier inflated price, that aquire and raise the price... and then sell you thier plat.

The people selling the plat are the ones that have the items you buy plat for, and if you didn't buy thier plat they wouldn't be able to sell you the items for quite so much.

you do realize that the plat people are buying comes from people who either farm stuff to sell to vendors, or from looting mob's , those who buy platinum, only redistribute the available plat , not create it, If I bought 1,000,000 plat today the amount of available platinum on the server would be the same as it was before I bought it. The inflation in prices comes from greed, not buying plat, since if the price had stayed at a more reasonable level, nobody would be buying plat. you have cause and effect backwards

Yeah I know this post is a few months old but I want to respond anyway. Here is the theory that many people have:

Bazaarmule sits in bazaar all day waiting for people to put up rare items for decent prices. As soon as this happens, they buy the item, mark up the price 50%, and put it back in the bazaar. Then along comes RandomBuyer and sees this great item that he really wants, but it's way too much money and he can't afford it. So he goes to some website and buys platinum with RL cash. He comes back to the bazaar and buys that item he really wanted. But here's the catch: Bazaarmule and that website that sold RandomBuyer the plat for cash is actually the same person/organization.

So this person sells you some plat, then you go and give the plat right back to him for an overpriced item. Given the current trend of buy low/sell high, this person can maintain an inventory of items and essentially break even in terms of in-game platinum, but rake in real life cash on the side. As a side effect, rare items are way overpriced and the economy as a whole is completely messed up.

As long as the ability to buy plat for real cash exists (or as long as there are people willing to do it) this is how it will be.

Elisaren, I agree with your sentiment--but the markets exist in fact, because there is a "market" for it. Those who don't work 60 hours a week (on call when you're not) can afford the time to farm, and camp...unfortunately, I can't, so I for one find myself in a position where I'm far better off gearing up via plat from "other venues" than camping and aggressive bazaaring. I just don't have the time...EQ is supposed to be fun, and I use it as a release at the end of the day/week. Without proper gear, you are clearly left behind, as I'm sure you are aware. The technically correct thing to do is to camp the items yourselves...then there's a waiting line for campables. All things considered, when I look at my pay, my free time, I think about how much my time is worth--and farming ranks decently low. Also, I save (no kidding) 15-25 bucks a month on power just by turning off my computers at night (in all fairness, that includes my server) not bazaaring all night has real-world fiscal benefits too.

Well, if you don't like the prices, go camp them. I don't see the problem here. CT doesn't require a flag, and these can be camped by 1-2 groups of average equipped people.

I've never understood the complaints about bazaar prices. Almost every item for sale in the bazaar, still drops in the game. Bazaar is for people who have more PP than time, or for whatever reason, find it easier to sell low/midrange stuff, and save up for the better items.

coupple of things about ur post xaanru. first not everyone has the time to camp these. They are an ultra rare drop drop mabye 1 in 7 kills. You can blow over 12 hours here and not get a single pop as well. Also this is a hard camp to get to since see invis mobs were added. Also if ur in a 2 group situation and its not already agreed that ur getting the boots its unliekly that ne one will give these up due to the price that they can just go and sell them. Assuming the mob spawns once every 12 hours it goes like this 12x12x7. That is over a thousand hours trying to get an item. This over a month in rl time. It would be hard enough to get this item solo, and to expect a group to stay together for more than 12 hours would be to much to ask. An alternative to farm a simpler item that you know drops semi frequently. A good item for ne one to camp is schw/silver chitten wristbands at frenzy camp in velketors labyrinth, since u can pull from other camps if their not camped and get 2 other named. On bb server these selling for 5.5k for the wristbands and 2k for the schw. Frenzy spawns mabye once every 2 hours so at worst mabye 1k an hour. Doing that is also much more reasonable for those trying to get money or if u want u can save up by doing this and get boots of flowing slime in 1-4 days.

now for information on this post, all mobs in this zone summon. the slime sees through invis and spawns near mesquito camp. His average hit is 277 and hits fast. He at flurries at 15% and below. He can be singlepulled by due to some problems ive been seeing in ct ie mobs aggroing through walls make sure you lead him directly to you dont just let him get to you his own way, as you might get adds. Also as posted before he drops this item approximately 1 in 7 times from my experience, and spawns approx every 12 hours if you keep killing his ph which is around 36 ph spawns. His more common drop is ring of flowing slime which drops mabye 1 in 3 times. He can have nothing on him, or he can have everything. This isnt an ultra hard camp for a shaman with cani 5 at least 5.5k hp with virtue/focus, and knows what hes doing. Also this mob can be slowed by both shaman and chanters, though he does resist it mabye once every 20 times.

Yup, necros can get to close to 104FT, stacking raid buffs: SD(9), 9(8), FT(15), SoS(50), and sit(22).

The new GoD lich is FT60, so thats 114FT.

Not sure if its possible to go above that, maybe if some other stacking mana buffs are found. I've also heard a rumor that they might raise the worn FT cap.

Ya you can get even more than that, 119 as you can also go to FT20 with AA's.

To top it off, I have heard you can surpass the Meditate skill cap with skill mod items.....
The "Eye of the Owlbear Mother" that drops in Hollowshade Moor after completing the war in Owlbear favor (rare drop I must add)
is an FT1 + Skill Mod Meditate +3% (plus minor stats) rage item, might be worth looking into.

I will ask the serverwide.necrotalk:necrotalk channel tonight.

OK here is the skinny on the Diseased mosquito and Swirling Red Mass camp. The swriling red mass, from what I have seen the times we killed it, hits about the same as other mobs in the sewers, around 200 high end per hit. When the swriling red mass gets to about 10-12% health he will become enraged and can easily erase 2K-3K hitpoints in about 10-15 secs. Other then that make sure you have a slower and a healer with you, or just one uber shaman. I hope this information helps out, good luck!!

I gotta say, this camp sucks. I've been there for about 8 hours, killed about 24 cycles, and have not seen so much as one named mob pop - neither the swirling red mass nor the named mosquito that spawns in the next room. And from what I understand, the drop rate has been lowered on the boots. It's no wonder that these are now selling for 100k on Mithanial Marr.

Here is a secret I use to get REASONABLE prices for items:

On Stormhammer, people there can move their characters from ANY server back and forth from home server to $tormhammer (notice that $ :P) for FREE. So get the channel name and password for $tormhammer's auction channel (auction:lockedup), and make a deal with a seller. Takes a few days to complete the deal, but the money saved is well worth it on many items. Works like this

ok, how do i do this? it seems like a good idea if it works....but how do i get into the stormhamer channel from morell-thule?

Joining channels on different servers works the same way as sending tells cross server. I imagine to stormhammer it would look something like ;join Stormhammer.Lockedup. For channel Anything on Server Somewhere it would look like ;join Somewhere.Anything. Get it? For those of you that want to learn how to do that with tells really quickly, it's ;tell Server.Name basically the same thing. ;tell Veeshan.Brudish "You suck" (the quotes are there simply to show that that is the text of that message, you do not need them) for example will send a tell to me telling me I suck. Both are quite simple to use and very useful. Hope this helps.

Can someone help with the actual camp.

I am unsure of one: how to get there. (I have heard run to a point and drop down a hole and crawl....

two: what kind of mobs..are the spawns..roamers etc etc..

The info I am lookin for is:

Do you invis to get to a certain point and then drop down....

Are there roamers that need to be killed first?

Any one that has camped this can you please post a few pointers or a walk through.

I promise I won't camp the sucker 24/7 by two boxin lol!

First, Invis up. From the ZI from Frerott (sp?), go straight thru CY and up little ladder. To the right ther will be a well looking area. Drop into it and swim down a bit then straight out into an open area. Get above water and you will see a Ladder. Go up ladder then entrance into sewers. Go down into Sewers. There is a static mob at the bottom. go past that mob and you will see a round room with beams criss crossing and meeting in middle. That is where i have camped the boots. Just pull mobs from next room till the red swirling mass pops. No waderers that i noticed and none see thru invis. I have been there a few times and never got aggro while invised.

In the sense that any item with mana regen of N per tick means the item is FTN, yes. Important to keep in mind that there are other worn mana regen effects, ie Balance, Soul Fury, etc, etc.

All worn mana regen items, regardless of the name, stack until the cap of 15/tick is reached.

Worn ATK and worn regen effect items have similiar caps on effectiveness. You can waer more, but the cap is all you'll ever get from it.

(My 35-inch TV is my monitor so from the sofa I fight my battles) The only set I have seen for sale in the month that I have been watching for them. Of course don't you always find what you want after spending the money on something else!? :( Unfortunately I did not have the Plat until a few days later. I went back to the Bazaar and low and behold now they are 100K. Of course then I did fall of the sofa......sobbing! And no I didn't then wake up lying on a drool covered pillow this was real!

UPDATE: Just checked these in the Bazaar last night and found 2 pair, one 85Kpp and the other 100Kpp. However NOW they are REQUIRED 51 instead of Recommended 51. Well I guess I will have to do the quest for the Earring with FT1! :( They have become very common on Xegony but always 80K+ now. Would have been good for my Hybrid but not for 80K or more, the 25K I saw was a good price. Oh well cant use them now anyway. Douh!

ya they down to like 70k now, but people always try to sell for 100k....grats on getting it for 25k i would have traded my RBB (worth 35k) to the person selling this, sell it for 75 and then get another RBB =D, u very lucky ...should have played the lottery that day

I think the poor guy was saying he never got them. He blew his wad of cash on another item, and by the time he scraped the cash together they were up to 100K. :(

on the druzzil Ro server they go for an average of 70-80k in bazaar sometimes a little more... but if u hold out there is usually a pair that will pop up for like 50-60k . u can get up to 15 mana per tick with FT rite? and 3 mana per tick with mental clarity, and 8 mana per tick from ur familiar(if ur a wiz like me) and 1 mana per tick from manaskin, and wut is considered 2 mana per tick from harvest at lvl 60. that adds up to 29 mana per tick with no chanter... then add kei (14 mana per tick)thats 43 mana per tick that a wizard can have... rofl i would love to see 1 wizard on any server with that. the probability of that happening is like 1 in a million... but still its possible

I have noticed alot of the prices are BOGUS! Give me a break, only a FOOL would pay 150k pp for these. Stupid greedy players who probably farm down in CT are jacking the prices up ... sad really. And don't give me this crap about how hard they are to come by cause they are not.

On Stormhammer and Seventh Hammer, there are Monks who "two box" with their Cleric and sit there farming these boots all day long. Doing this, they are able to farm 2-3 pair a day (real life day). They log on real early to claim the camp, sit their cleric in the corner alcove, pull the red mass by FDing it out from spawn spot, then just hitting it until dead and using their cleric to heal themselves. A good Monk and a CHing cleric can do this. They then run and QUICK sell the boots for 50k in ooc in Bazaar.

This crap about them being sold for 150kpp is just a lie or a very dumb player who dosen't understand true pricing. Think about it, donating for C3 in bazaar is around 40-50pp ... do the math ... thats 3000 C3 castings ... don't think in 3 years of playing the game I have had more than 300 C3 cast on me yet!

Bottom line is use your brain and realize that sellers come here and post inflated prices all the time for items. This being a very useful and popular item, expect more greed to influence the pricing posts. If you just wait and not let your plat burn a hole through your pocket, you can pick these boots up for under 60kpp EASY! With all the new PoP feet drops, some people are giving up their BoFS. In BoT, PoE, PoS/PoV, CoD, HoH there is almost always a chanter there or in your group to C3, C4, or C5 you for FREE. Or just goto bazaar and "/ooc any KEI?". For a 40 - 50pp donation, you now have BoFS x 4 or better! 150k ... what crack are you smoking?

Hiya Squishy,

This is what I mean about people not understanding the game they play :) Dude, I have been playing this game for 3 frigging years, and frankly getting borded with the carrot those developers keep showing us. The biggest being that time/money sink, 'Vex Thal Key' quest. I am surprised there has not been player class action lawsuit against SOE for making things so friggin hard, just to motivate more monthly credit card billing charges. I payed to play in Vex Thal, not to pay to play for months just to get into the zone; I digress ...

C3 is not, REPEAT, is not the same as Flowing Thought 3. Again for those who are either greedy, or slow, C3 is NOT FT3.

When you are lvl 1 - lvl 40 or so, Boots of Flowing Slime are DECENT. When your mana pool becomes 3000, 4000, over 5000 points of mana, do you really think FT3 (3 points of mana/per tick) is really going to speed things up? This time you do the math :)

Like I have said folks, the people here that will disagree with my posts concerning Boots of Flowing Slime pricing, fall into 1 of 2 or maybe both groups:

Group 1: The Noobie who doesn't take the time to REASEARCH and UNDERSTAND items.

Group 2: Greedy players who BS (no not Backstab) others on this forum and in the game into believing that these boots are soooo uber!

Look, these boots are for twinks or new players lvl 1 - 40. If you are buying these for your player lvl 50+, then you are wasting your hard earned money. If you go camp them, and get them for FREE ... GRATZ!!!

C3, C4, C5 can be had for as little as 40 - 50pp and in most cases, Enchanters will just cast for FREE.

These boots are not worth 70k, 80k, 90k, 100k+. I'm sorry, if you spent this amount, you were had :( If you sell for this amount, good luck finding a sucker :) 3 points of mana/tick for 70+kpp or buy a C3/4/5 buff and get 12+ mana/tick and a +25 increase in Wis/Int for just 40 - 50pp. A fool and his money are soon departed ...

P.s. You don't need a guild to get these. Like I said before, just a Monk and a Cleric can camp for these boots.

The part you seem to miss is this: KEI/Tranquility/VoQ STACK with FT.

Personally, I don't use these boots, but its NOT because FT3 isn't WONDERFUL. My main is a cleric, and his boots have much better stats, plus Mana Preservation 4.

However, for my druid, these boots would be pretty nice.

Now, back to my point, my cleric has a cumulative FT8 so far, and will have 10, as soon as those geonids cough up the right gems, so I can finish my 8th shawl. An extra 8 in mana regen per tic is VERY noticable, even with KEI, plus BL mana regen, PLUS blessed armor of the risen.

Flowing thought stacks up to 15. If my main were a druid, or a robe caster, I would consider these boots very attactive, toward the goal of attaining FT 15.

Honestly, 60k (about what they sell for on my server) isn't a lot to pay for FT3. The gripe about prices is probably coming from the same people who complain about level 65 spells being up to 30k, and other high end gear being pricy. The bottom line is, these are worth the price, or they would not sell. Hand of Virtue is worth 30k, or it wouldn't sell. Blade of Carnage is worth 300kpp, or nobody would buy it.

Ok, now this seems ridiculous to you. Thats because you only have 5k in your bank, and can't figure out where these people are getting 300k from. However, what you don't realize is, there are many players who have millions of plat, accumulated over YEARS of playing the game. They can afford this stuff, and will buy it. Eventually, if you keep playing the game, in another year or two, you'll be among the group with a huge bank account, and you can buy these items. In the meantime, understand that there are plenty of people to whom 60k is not a big deal (and no, I'm not talking about the scammers and casino idiots, I'm referring to the legitimate players, who accumulate and sell items, gems, etc for plat).

Not to start a flame, but your a moron. If you can notice the difference between C3 and KEI then you would realize the difference between no FT and FT3. In my opinion these are not worth the money people put them up for. FT3 is nice and so is the 65 mana and 10 magic resist is always a plus but not for 60-100k. I would expect more than just those stats. More resists and/or casting stats would make these worth the 80k in my eyes.

there is no difference between C3 and KEI because they are the same thing.

Some people crack me up. If you have ever played a caster in any sort of high end environment you know that a 5k mana pool is nice, but a 4k mana pool with 15 points of regen is better. ANYONE can go out of mana, but the ones who regen it faster are the ones who will stand out. I play a cleric and the only thing that ever made me give up theses boots was when I got Yeli boots ( they have FT2 plus NICE stats ). Anyone who underestimates the value of FT should stock up a few items and I guarantee you will notice an INSANE difference. Why do you think gear like this is so highly sought out?

As for paying 150k for these boots, I'd rather farm shards for all 15 of my alts ( yes I know they are the debil ). They go for 80k or so on Torvo and I recommend camping them if you don't have the cash. Camping the sewers is easier than camping lizards IMO.

You need to add another category to your stereotypes. 3) People who have tried, tested, and proven that the use of Flowing Thought saves lives ( in my cleric's case ). Let's not forget that in a lot of places a cleric can't sit to med and horses aren't allowed in dungeons...FT works whether standing or sitting. Hell, I yaulp for the extra regen even if I don't have proc hammer up =)

Sorry for the flame; I rest my case.

Cilu - 65 Cleric
Ulic - 56 Warrior
Salkan - 54 druid
Crocodillia - 49 Shaman

Although for the most part you do have some good points, as other have pointed out, it does stack up to 15 points, which is FT 1-5, and you gotta have something to fill that three spot, so why not these?

The appeal of these is that *if* you manage to get your FT maxed, then you are regaining mana as fast as with kei, and if you have kei, then you are really raking in the mana. Or, what I experience more often than not, is that something goes wrong when I'm in a group, I get killed and have to res myself and then if I want kei again, I have to port back to PoK, get kei, then run back to party. If I had FT15, then I'd probably skip running back for kei most of the time.

Your argument could also be used to say that there is nothing in the game that is worth much because individually all armor and stats aren't going to make hardly a whit of difference. However, you combine a lot of good armor with good stats and it all adds up to where you are pretty impressive.

You don't have to have FT1, FT2, FT3, FT4 and FT5 to get FT15. You could have 15 FT1 items or 3 FT5 items. They all stack and max out at FT15.
RE: price
# Mar 31 2004 at 2:53 AM Rating: Default
true, but that was NOT always the case.. there was a time when one FT1 item would not stack with another FT1 item and so on... thus FT1 through FT5 was required... (thank god they changed it lol)

While I agree that these aren't worth what most people want they are worth at least 50k. The stats are respectable (do some searches for caster boots and you'll see how expensive it gets for even crappy stats). And remember the 40 extra mana per minute equals 2400 extra mana per hour....after hour after hour. Try going into a situation like a raid where you cant easily sit and med then the mana regen becomes even more noticable. 3 ticks of mana is the same as improving KEI by 21% or improving C2 by 27%. That is significant. I used to think these werent even worth the 50k my friend spent back before people realized their usefulness. Now i wish i could pay 50k for a pair after seeing what they have done for his chanter.

Sit regen is 14 per tick at this level, so KEI + sit is 28 per tick. 3 more of 28 is an increase of 15%.

For someone who has been playing the game for three years, you don't seem to have much of a grasp of game mechanics yourself... FT stacks up to 15... which is 1 more mana per tick the KEI... Anyone who is in the upper planes will be just as happy to have these boots as a lowbie, if it helps them reach that 15 cap. And 150k may seem like a lot to you, but when you are high enough to farm items like this, and can sell them for 80k or more a pop, 150k is chump change... I watched a guy put up 100k on a casino roll one night.. Of course, when he won, the casino owner LDd, but hey.. The fact that he had it and wasn't too concerned about losing it should tell ya something.

Aye, it is only 3 mana per tic, but......It stacks with C3 (which is like 14 per tic). So, with several FT items, things go up. With these and say, earing of the solstice (FT1), you now have an extra 4 per tic. Wearing C3, you're now at 18 rather than 14 per tic. The extra 40 mana you get in a min from an FT item isnt going to let you chain nuke, but it may allow a healer to get one more spell off....pretty damn usefull if youre the tank that would have died otherwise.

Got mine this weekend on Vallon Zek for 60k. Sent a tell to a guy that was /auction in Bazaar so I guess he was in a hurry to get rid of them. Usual price is 70-80k. These and Earing of the Solstice are my only FF items which puts me to FF4. Still a noticable difference and the 10sv magic is very handy on Vallon, being a PvP server.
