#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 11 2002 at 1:48 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) The guy is obviously a fraud. I figured that would be obvious enough to anyone looking at that bunch of BS. Never seen ya on Drinal pal, or heard of you before, and I WOULD know anyone with gear like that.

These boots are basically a compromise between Barbed Dragonscale Boots (very nice monkable footwear but a tad heavy for the taste of some) and Shiverback Hide boots. Given the difference in difficulty between getting the two, (actually attaining, not purchasing) this is quite a reasonable compromise at that. It ain't uber, but it doesn't just plain suck either.
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 09 2002 at 3:40 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) What drops these? I think they are rather nice and would like to get myself a pair.
P.S.

Oh yeah, for any future reference. This isn't exactly the "complain to everyone about all decent drops board" I look forward to seeing some more info on any of the items to come, and about this one. Thank you! (Flame if ya want, but I'm just looking at this in a mild prespective)
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 09 2002 at 10:17 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Monks and Bl need the ac , I know but most of the iteams don't have ac is because Monks and BL's have an inate ac bounus...The lighter they are more of a bonus they get .

Message as a 4o Beastlord i can tell you ac is nice but not nearly as nice as resists and stats. not saying i'm an expert about all things beastlord i can tell you i have never noticed any bonuses from haveing low or high weight. my guess why we don't have weight restrictions like monks is because we would never be able to fund spells on our own if we couldn't hold loot and cash.

just my 2 cp

#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 10 2002 at 10:25 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) actually bst dont have an ac bonus like monks..just an armor negative..only allowed to wear leather or cloth so actually us bst get hosed all the way..no ac bonus and cheesy *** ac armor..i dont mind sharing with the monks, but if i have to, give me the bonus or give me chain or better......

Yeah, cause a pet, and spells aren't really an advantage. Give it a break. You want beastlord to be a full fledged monk, AND a pet class caster. Sheesh. I guess they should give you mend as well. Now that would be unbalanced.

#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 09 2002 at 5:43 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Bst stuff is just all low ac anyway, making their class even worse at the raid level.
Once again, look, they are skrewing over the Monk/shammy hyb
# Mar 09 2002 at 4:41 AM Rating: Default
I guess because Bls are Monk/shammy hybrids,, the MONK, in them gets screwed just like all us purebread monks, AC is always a SKREWED factor in every piece of equipment that keeps weight down. Like we dont need ac or something.. and Wheres the STR increase on this? why cant it have better fire resistance? where the fek does it drop? what the hell is up with high lvl zones dropping such ****, oh its because verant just loves to skrew monks,. and types with MONK/hybrid in their name.

Good thing , i was starting to feel alone in the skrewed area of armor and even weapons,, but BLs have moved in, and now i have company.

I do not agree with you on this issue, milerunner. I can hardly say that monk/beastlord job class get "skrewed" on equipment just because of their profession. Figure this: Monks and beastlords are what I perfer to call "Pure fighters" to an extent, considering they are able to dish out a rather good deal of damage with only their body parts, along with special techniques that they honed during their training. (it's abit roleplaying, but it'll get my point across.) They do not need the use of high quality armor as warriors, paladins, and the like would have to wear in order to protect themselves.. Thats how I can place the innate ac bonus with those two fine classes, due to their well trained bodies. Although they did put that weight restriction for a reason to make those classes abit more challenging, but since almost all monks from lvl 40 and on (half of them that can muster up the money) already have a tinkerers bag, or somthing close to it in their inventory. I"m mainly trying to say that Verant is not trying to mess up any class just by what they are... Heck.. I'd probably find this stuff useful, and I'm a pally, I can't even wear this. I'm just saying that there's no real reason to flame any items just because they're not somthing you think a monk/beastlord shouldn't use... Not all of us want those 20 ac 0.2 wt items that all of the "Want to be uber" people want to think it's theirs before they go and get it. If anyone has a large problem with the topic I'm speaking of, than you can flame all ya want.. I'm sure sensible people would understand what a simple person is saying.=)
