SoD Armor Guide

I found these guides and they seem to explain the armor progression better.
This is a blatant cut and paste from mathadon's website, there is a nice grid with links to Lucy on each gear for each class in the game.

    SoD Armor Guide

The visible slots (wrist, hand, feet, head, arms, legs, chest) in SoD can be confusing. Beyond the first tier they are not strictly drops but a result of rare named drops plus things from Zeb in the void (which it turn is based onn theme progression)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tier 1
Archaic armor is a direct drop from named in the Oceangreen theme. The armor is attuneable and fairly weak, eclipsed by even the first set of armor from SoF. Once you gain access to Void B you can purchase a no drop version of the armor for Chronobines.

Chain: http://lucy.allakhazam.com/itemlist.html?searchtext=Archaic+chain
Leather: http://lucy.allakhazam.com/itemlist.html?searchtext=Archaic+Leather

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tier 2
There are no visible slots from Kithicor theme.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tier 3
Various nameds across Field of Scale theme drop Seminal Luminessence and Seminal Incandessence. There are 4 different types, Fractured for wrists and hands, Warped for head and feet, Distorted for arms and legs, and Phased for the chest.

Once you have your essence visit Zeb in the void. Purchase a cocoon for your class and a Tinea which matches the slot you are looking to create (read here for information about the Void). Simply combine the drop with the Tinea in the cocoon to get your tier 3 armor. Luminessence creates the Concordant set and Incandessence creates the Discordant set. The two sets are nearly identical except for appearance and small differences in mod2s.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tier 4
Here is where it starts getting complicated. Tier 4 armor is created by taking a piece of tier 3 armor and combining it with one of the Medial X-essence that drop from the Rathe theme inside a Temporal Molting Cell (void E). There are three versions of tier 4 armor, Vested, Balanaced, and Chaotic, and the version you get is based on which essences you use:

Concordant + Medial Luminessence = Vested (V)
Concordant + Medial Incandessence = Balanced (B)
Discordant + Medial Luminessence = Balanced (B)
Discordant + Medial Incandessence = Chaotic (C)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tier 5
Tier 5 continues the branching idea, unfolding into four different types, depending what tier 4 you have and which Eternal X-essence you use. Like tier 4, the combines are done in a Temporal Molting Cell.

Vested + Eternal Luminessence = Ordained (ord)
Vested + Eternal Incandessence = Tarnished (tar)
Balanced + Eternal Luminessence = Tarnished (tar)
Balanced + Eternal Incandessence = Tainted (tai)
Chaotic + Eternal Luminessence = Tainted (tai)
Chaotic + Eternal Incandessence = Inflicted (inf)

A HUGE thanks goes to Beimeith on the EQLive boards for figuring out the pattern of armor creation!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Misc
In all void versions you can purchase a Silenced Tinea Deviation Chamber. You can combine wrist armor pieces inside this to rotate through different focus effects.

If you have a piece of prismatic crystallos group armor from SoF (and ONLY prismatic, just one element won't work) you can use this in place of tier 3. The catch is you need to have access to Void E to do this. Zeb sells 3 new containers, Prismatic Luminescent Mutation Nexus, Prismatic Incandescent Mutation Nexus, and Prismatic Fluorescent Mutation Nexus. You will combine your prismatic armor along with a Medial X-essence to create a piece of tier 4 armor. The combinations are:

Armor + Medial Luminessence in Luminescent Nexus = Vested
Armor + Medial Luminessence in Fluorescent Nexus = Balanced
Armor + Medial Luminessence in Incandescent Nexus = Balanced
Armor + Medial Incandessence in Luminescent Nexus = Balanced
Armor + Medial Incandessence in Fluorescent Nexus = Balanced
Armor + Medial Incandessence in Incandescent Nexus = Chaotic

1 x Concordant Shadowshift Chain Coif

Ingredients
1 x Warped Seminal Luminessence - Dropped
1 x Whispering Mutating Tinea - Bought

those in the rogue one make the rogue helm... so maybe those same items in the ranger one makes an item for rangers?

no idea yet though sorry, hopefully can help point people in the right direction =(
