It's not no drop, so imagine this on a level 1 caster.. *drool*
I'd say this is for a quest =)

Honestly this is on par with the boots of concentration. I use both as a level 60 necro in a pretty able guild. I wouldn't consider this trash in the least. Just because no wizard in their right mind would wear is dosn't make it junk for int casters.
GOD!! Why do people always say that any item that drops in High Level Zones that aren't considered Uber MUST be quest items? Look at what drops in Kael...Giant Militia LS, Beserker Swords and Axe. These items are quite obsolete to the level player fighting in this zone, but they still have a bit of value to sell.
Now, if these items were no drop, then you could say that they MIGHT be for a quest. But 5ac 50mana for the range is hardly trash, I could see players paying a couple hundred, or up to 500 plat for one of these. I'm level 55, but I could use every bit of plat I can get, because upgrades at this level are pricey!

We got Brood items from Velious dragons, Brood items from Sarnaks, hehe they're everywhere.

wow is no drop !!! very cool twink item for a int caster since at lower lvl you will do you fare share of melee awsome pice for a necro
