I confuse. Did I click the right button? I swear I was gonna check out some new uber limited loot from Legends servers, but instead I seem to have stumbled into an all out BRAWL between Legends VS Everyone who doesnt have 40 dolla. I personally fall under the category of not having 40 dolla...but I was thinking maybe we could post some about the UBER ITEM listed here. Wow nice piece. Way to go. I think there needs to be another place to click to be able to see all this fighting. just my 10kpp. AND YES I AM A NEWB! (cuz i know some smartass was about to just call me one lol)

I personally dont have a problem at all with Legends..But what I do think is instead of opening a new server/game Verant should have consentrated on all the bugs and problems with EQ first..There are still alot of bugs that should be worked on. Fix and perfect what you have 1st and then expand is what I think..well good hunting and safe journey to all.

To back up your complaint, why did it take them a week and a half to correct a simple error with faction messages...looks like they have got their prioritites out or wack. I totally agreet with you in that they should perfect one thing before moving to another.

It took them a week because they didn't want to bring down the servers for an emergency pathc when a patch was already scheduled a week later. A bug that does not change the way things work is not worth six+ hours of downtime. yeah, they need to get their priorities straightened out....

Right now i have a glitch that Makes certain items go "poof" when i go LD. Its happened so many times im going mad! Not only are they not fixing the problem... they wont give me the items back like they used to!!

I can understand charging more money for the extra GM's and events and such, and I wasn't opposed to the Legends idea at first. But what I dont't get is why arent' these new zones available to all servers? They made the zone, it doesn't cost them a penny more to put it on other servers aswell. It's just there to dangle juicy loots infront of people who don't feel like paying the big bucks for them.
So basically it IS true, play on legends = get better gear. In other words, "those who give us more money get better items". They solved thier Ebaying problem, they just cut out the middleman :)

maybe im a lil dumb, kind of a n00b etc etc... but the thing i cant help but wonder is-
verant more then just frowns upon people who ebay items/pp for RL cash, its like a huge nono lose yer account dont pass go etc etc type of thing... well WTF is the diff between ebay and legends? pay and extra 30 a month to get nice azz gear for legends, or buy 100kpp on ebay for 49.95 hehe.... seems like verant is a lil hypocritical , just my 2cp

By paying the extra 30 dollars a month you aren't automatically granted nToV armor and primal weaponry and level 60 upon login.
These items are dropped off of new spawns on the Legends server, all of which are underconned and hit very hard. They still have to be earned, unlike buying things off of ebay.
You don't like legends? Good - we don't want you there anyway.

Lol I know several people who have transferred a char to legends server and so far they are all telling me the same thing- drops are wayyyyyyy more common than on reg servers and the quality of mob u have to kill is much lower vs the quality of drop u recieve. So perhaps you need to pull yer head outta yer behind. Dont think you so high n mighty just cuz yer mommy pays for yer legends account. Im sure yer way too low to have ever been to velks, but the lvl of mob and difficulty there in respect to what they drop is 10 times higher then those lil decaying skeletons on legends server who drop 25ac 15str 15sta 15ag 15dex and 10 to all saves items.
so come back and post after you have obtained a lvl 50+ and know yer game.

Dear Lord I wish! Whoever theyt were that told you this were not being truthful. Everything on legends is the same as a regular server. Drop rates are not altered, and there is really only a small selection of Legends only items in the first place.
We have to take the same time as everyone else, and fight the same monsters with the same loot tables. Trust me, I play on Legends and two regular servers alternating (takes me forever to level a character!), and I can verify that everything I have fought comes out the same on all of them.
Funny thing is I hear a lot of folks post on the Legends only items saying how it isn't worth the time and there are better items on regular servers...not everything we get dibs on is Uber Lootz.
The extra zones we pay for are nice though...

Well I wouldnt be suprised if this thing dropped of a bat in GFay with how Verant is babying those people to Beta Test for us...Oh BTW legends players thanks for the new CT you payed 30 more a month to get it less than 2 weeks before us! HAHAHA LOOSERS!

I just get the feeling that if legends had existed a few years ago I would have gotten Deceiver and Shadow armor in CT instead of RS...oh joy...doubt I would have been played right now tho hehe
By adding legends this looks like the downfall of every game that has charge they add a premium service and it just goes down. Im not saying that it will happen to everquest just saying it has happened many times on other games.
show some dam courtesy, if you played on stormhammer you would be all jumping up and down saying hey look at me i have this item, im so uber, so get off your self pitty trip and quit trying to down grade the ledgends items and the people who play on ledgends server, btw Im not rich but i play on ledgeds so i must suck eh?

Show some courtesy? Show some courtesy? Their charging people an extra 30 bucks a month (the people who play on that **** *** server), when half of the stuff they promised us in the first place... GM Events, Better CS, revised content, etc, etc. So you show some damn courtesy for us, the ones who were intelligent enough to complain about VI's greediness. And, if they really followed what they said they would do, and give the 'average' player what they promised, I doubt most of us wouldn't mind paying an extra 5 bucks a month for it. They would come out with more money then thru this 'Legends' ****, and more of the player base would be happy.
Heres the math to back up them earning more money:
Legends: (392,000 x $10) + (8,000 x $40) = $4,240,000
Extra $5: 400,000 x $15 = $6,000,000

Digo, if you are not happy with their service(s), why not just quit and save your money and frustration?
Whining to people who plays on legends does not solve a thing. If you have a problem go and confront VI.
Also, if VI wants to charge their customer $40, so what? It's none of your business how much they should charge, it does not affect you what so ever because you don't even play on Legends server. And, Let the players on Legends worry about their expenses.
If you have a problem with VI breaking promises for people on the normal servers then confront them. Send them an email or post on EQ messageboard.

First off let me say that the Legends Server does **** me off a little bit with regards to items and new zones, etc. No I don't play there. But there is a problem with your theory. Yes they would make more money if they charged everyone $15 a month, BUT they cannot provide Legends quality service too 400k people at $15 a head. The fact is that it takes about $40 a head to get that service and hopefully turn a profit. Don't you think that if they could price it at $29.95 or $34.95 that they would? They had to anticipate some kind of backlash over the price and boy did they get it.

Taking 10k or even 8k people and making them feel like they are getting a service that is really "premium" is expensive and difficult. I don't believe that it is possible for VI to provide that quality of service for less than what they are charging on Legends, else we would already have it on the normal servers. Maybe when they streamline operations the price will drop, who knows? They are in the business of retaining customers. Ok, so when Luclin first came out, did you see people posting that they shouldnt be listing Luclin items because not everyone could get them? NO. Shut your mouth, I'm sick of reading all of you losers whine about Legends.

Hey, great news Snarlfang - Alla has listened to your whining and split the Legends stuff away from the normal stuff. Or dont you read the main page info? Legends items are NOT listed with normal items, and if you want to find them via searching you need to tick a box to include legends items in your search.
What else can be done? The information is NOT in the normal places you look, so if you actually come to one of the items its a concious act by YOU, no-one else. If you dont look at these items (that are listed separate) the only thing you will know about them is their name.
Can hardly see how knowing the name of an item is going to spoil it for you. You ARE on a spolier site after all.

While I'm not knocking Legends (If folks want to pay for it, more power to'm!) I agree, that it is a fraction of the overall EQ population that will ever see the legends items unless they go live on the standard servers, and as such, have no place being listed along with the "standard" EQ items, as it just complicates things for the vast majority of folks using (and now paying for) this site. EQ and Legends are separate and different, and really need to be treated so on this site as well.

Well, to answer both people above, VI have stated that equipment exclusive to Legends will only be exclusive for a guaranteed minimum of 3 months. After that, the bulk of the gear and equipment will be ported over to the regular servers. That means all this stuff thats Legends only WILL become "standard" EQ items.
And if you dont want to look at the stuff, dont. The front page DOES split Ledgends items away from the other normal equipment update, in a separate line line New Quests/Updated Quests, etc...
I for one like looking at the stuff out of curiosity. If some of this stuff comes across to the standard servers in 3 months time, I for one am glad I know about it NOW. For those that just plain dont like the Legends concept, stop looking at the equipment, and get on with your life.
Its only a game.

I sure hope most of these items do get added to regular servers cause looking at them almost makes me want to go to Legends even though i can't afford.
