Today omw to UP to camp some elysians for gear for my friends alt I walked in and saw RC gettin beat down in the entryway by a total of 6 peeps. I have raided RC before but I never truly thought him to be a 1 group deal. However they maged quite easily with an uber healer and slower and tank etc. Dropped the wicked mail for them... Needless to say I was impressed. He hit me for 740 a pop last time and that tends to leave big bruises on a caster.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 26 2002 at 12:03 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) this will be a great item for my sk hes 49 now and cant wait to get a few more lvls to get into a group and get the chance to roll for this the dex and stam for swinging those high damage 2handers is will worth the roll

Rumblecrush is something it takes a raid of at least 3 groups to kill.
RE: nice item
# May 12 2004 at 12:43 PM Rating: Decent
Killed him with less than 2 groups..think we had 10-11 people.2 monks 1 tank beast (me) shaman 2 rangers a few clerics and i htink a mage.
RE: nice item

Aye, if you want this, you're better grow balls and organize the raid for it. You don't just LFG in UP and hope that the named guy spawns like in lower level zones. You gather the troops and guide them.
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 11 2003 at 12:07 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ......... sure 3 groups.......
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 07 2003 at 6:38 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) heh
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 18 2002 at 3:45 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This here is what bards will love most, not to equip but more because it will take demand off the dragon scale. I am a wizard and after I seen this I no longer want White Dragonscale Cloak. This here has nice resists, int, mana, and dex. Dex is important of course for those nasty interrupts.

There is a common misconception in your post. DEX does not help prevent interupts. In fact, DEX does almost nothing good for a wizard. The only effects it has in the game are to increase the rate at which you learn offensive melee skills and also a VERY tiny increase in proc-rate for melee weapons.

BTW, the WDS now has dam-3, which makes it far and away more desirable than this cloak regardless of the stats on either one.

dex helps your ability to channel through interupts.

DEX has a very great influence on procs. Whoever said DEX makes a very small difference obviously has not seen the difference an extra 100-200 DEX can make.

DEX is an extremely easy stat to buff too; Just use NDT or Fo7. Almost all groups will have either a chanter or a shaman.

Depending on a wizards level and damage output relative to the tanks aggro holding capacity, it is often perfectly safe for a wizard to stand behind the mob and proc away at it. Whether sitting still on horse might be more beneficial overall is arguable, though.

Dex IS useful for wizards. help with criticals. As to interupts, i honestly dont know.
RE: Hmmm
# Jul 03 2003 at 8:36 AM Rating: Decent
Dex helps just as much as any other stat per point.....
My Dex is around 300...I proc like mad...

Im not a Wizard, but ive had several tell me that Dex helps on thier spell Crits,
I believe the only thing that helps on interrupts is your channeling...and the AAs that help channeling..

This is obviously a good cloak for anyone....and as a Beastlord its one of the better ones you can get, thats fairly easy to obtain...Id get 146HPs from it, and 95Mana....

Aye from what I understand DEX helps with natural Critical Blasts, but not AA Critical Blasts... oh well I'm still not totally sure!
RE: Hmmm
# Apr 14 2004 at 2:57 AM Rating: Decent
I'm pretty sure that DEX also determines how much you hit a mob if you're melee.

The quest cloak has imp dmg 3. Any decent nuker would go for it I guess. Moot point though since the quest no longer uses the WDS, but the white dragon hide.
A bard would simply love this cloak because it's good for her.
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 28 2002 at 1:23 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Not to mention crits as well. This thing has all three prime req's of a wizard at 15 each. This thing is godly for a wizard. This has three classes written all over it. SK, Wizard, Bard. Although I have a feeling the bards would give this up in exchange for a white dragon scale. I also have a feeling an SK would give this up for a CoF.
I have it and still drooling

Must be called the cloak of destruction ,because with these stats, it guarantees that Rumblecrush will be destroyed, soon after he pops. Very nice!

Awesome cloak..just wish the wis was 15 also..guess being a Cleric im a wisdom junkie :o) my wis is not bad its 219 unbuffed(which is not uber) but this cloak would make it better if it had 15wis hehe..either way sweet cloak.. well good hunting and safe journey to all.

Melee Usefulness
# Mar 08 2002 at 2:33 AM Rating: Default
Looks to me like another one of those items that would be good for pretty much all/all. As a high elf paladin I see this as very usefull since it gives lots of stamina and dex (which I am particualrly lacking in), allowing for me to focus on easier to get str stuff for the rest of my gear. Heh the wis I suppose is a nice bonus to a paladin, although as a high elf with this and some other items I have it would be ridiculously high for a melee lol. Would be nice for Sk's too.
As a druid...
# Mar 08 2002 at 2:24 AM Rating: Decent
I would not roll on this. (I would prefer the Dain's Cloak, or the Cloak of Truth)
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 27 2002 at 7:33 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Thx we give a d@mn...
I'd wear it !

Deffinatly uber for necro
# Mar 07 2002 at 11:36 PM Rating: Default
look at this baby has int sta hp and mana i would have to say would be very uber for a necro as high end necros need hp and sta more than mana of int but toss in the fact that it has int and mana and very uber for the necro

Wis vs. Int
# Mar 07 2002 at 6:14 PM Rating: Default
Gee... Think this cloak favors Int casters more so than Wis casters? hehe, 6 Wis compared to 15 Int... Hmm....
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 08 2002 at 12:38 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) There's lots of Luclin items that have lots of WIS and less INT too...it goes both ways. Bored designers is my theory. :)
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 10 2002 at 2:18 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Not bored, Lazy...

saves a lot of arguement on whether this item should go to your clerics or your wizards, though =)
RE: Wis vs. Int
# Mar 07 2002 at 9:08 PM Rating: Default
this cloak would serve well for any class, but favors more than just int casters. rogues, monks, and shadow knights would get a very nice boots from this as well.
