Yes it speaks but it seems it has ceased talking to me as I have it evolved 3/5 and 80%. So perhaps it's a thing it just does in the beginning.

this dropped in ice wing from mini named "vengeful trapped elemental". he spawned in the first big room with all the roaming drakes. a trapped elemental was the PH

Veneful Contained Elemental - RARE. This mob was in Crytallos on the AIR side. The mob dropped persistant breeze, animating force, spell: Wave of absolution Rk II and Aurakia the Soul-torch with focus effect: Spindlecrank's Corrosive Fluid I.

It may evolve more on certain mobs than others but I have found that as long as I am in a regular group (as opposed to raid) it evolves. I have had it about 3 weeks and the first level is evolved 88%.

... I was told that it evolves only when certain mobs are killed. IS this true or false? I would like to know, I got this last night off the Air Squire......... Hikary 80 cleric

I've had it gain xp from mobs in Crystallos and in Dragonscale Hills. So I think it gains xp anywhere as long as you are NOT in a raid. Raid xp does not affect the xp of the item.

Is it sold or dropped? and where?

Lol this torch can talk when you equip it off and on a bunch of times.

I also noticed it says different things as I cast spells, so far it's just been random.
