ya i would have to admit the weight and lack of stats would make this item not so hot for bard or cleric, but if you are WAR/PAL/SK and want to be main ac tank, every ac point counts. These are higher ac than DW and BE gaunts, but i could see these being more of a highish-mid lvl item.
Cold Steel Gauntlets = Twink item.
