#REDACTED, Posted: May 04 2003 at 8:19 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) IMO who this should go to should be any caster. Of course this is best used for a chanter, but its great on any casters really. Also very good for necros and shammies for the sta/hp. Anyway, it doesnt really matter who this goes to. Why did i have to get involved... lol.
RE: Ok

Aye, I don't see why many non-casters would want this, than again there are easy-to-get belts from LDoN now that you can wrack up 29 INT or 29 WIS litterally, and have even better other stats than this.

Is nice for a Enc though, but now adays most of them don't need any more CHA.

Dex, Cha, Int, and Mana. Sounds like stuff bards might like.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 26 2002 at 6:54 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I'm a lvl 54 enchanter, and I guess I'm doing something really wrong, because my int/cha doesn't come close to 255 even buffed. I run at about 207 int/ 157 cha unbuffed. I would love to have this belt. For those that say it is easy to get int/cha items...make an enchanter, and go shopping, not with enough money to buy the most uber items either. It is tough to find int/cha items, yes there are a few out there, but even those low ones cost good money. It seems like most items that you see are int/cha combo, can't even be used by an enchanter. It amazes me, how many of the int/cha items I can't use, but a Necro can, like they want the cha. Personally, even if I weren't an enchanter, I would have to say that this would be the best class to give this item too, with the exception of MAYBE a Bard, or a Shaman (because {and I know this is still a controversy} the higher a shamans cha the better thier chances of not being resisted are on debuff {my husband has a lvl 52 shaman, and we have tested this many times, and IMO, cha is a neccesity for a shaman as well). So, even though there are a combination of stats that would be good for any class, I think that it would most benefit an enchanter, bard or shaman. I also would be extremely upset to see a raid leader allow any others besides those three roll on this item. Of course i'm sure that most of those at this level, hunting this type of zone, and leading a raid big enough to take Rumblecrush down, would have the knowledge as to who this item would most benefit, and set some rules here, as to who gets to roll.
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 11 2002 at 10:17 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) lots of people could benefit from this item!

The fact is this Rumblecrush that it drops off of is a lvl 66 mob. That means that a guild would be needed or at least a very well organized mini invasion. That said it follows that the people that organized this event will probably be deciding who gets it. That also said it follows that arguing about it on a message board designed to further progress in the game we all like to play is not getting you anywhere.

Just post something worth hearing like a strategy for getting this and the other drops off Rumblecrush. PLEASE

Actually this can be done with 6 or less. And in fact I am part of a 4 man farming party. You only need a slower, tank and CH or 2. Actually as a druid on CH I wasnt even pressed for mana and patch healer wasnt needed much. The other 2 are DPS to speed up fight.

You pull him (will get the golems too thats ok he runs faster) and pull him to ME zone line, make sure you have him. Then puller zones and shammy tags with slow. Easy from there.

a BARD? Yes an Enchanter could use for sure, but CHA and INT are also the 2 main stats for bards. More CHA = less resists and more INT = more mana for charming and AE DD or whatever other songs use mana.

Enchanter and Bard = first dibs

51 Bard here.. Int DOES effect Chant resists. I've tested on some mobs in Jagged pine with 82 Int and I got an average of 9 resists at level 50 kiting the Potameid Guardians. I later switched gear to Int gear lent by some friends and guildmates and then got a C3 (+25INT) which gave me 127 Int.
I kited the same creatures and got 2-3 resists on the same potameids.
Int Gear on Bards is important.. thats why most of the Higher level Bard only weapons have... ohh imagine that.. Int as the main stat.. and Cha second.
Although I was drooling to have this belt, I can see a caster getting a higher dib status than me.
Just my 2 cents

"Nice item for Hybrids"!!!!!! Well if your able to get this yrou guild is probably using DKP so if you wanted it its your decision to waste your DKP. but I now this woudl go to a chanter or rot in my guild. Noone would waste their DKP especially a Hybrid on this.

There are better belts for hybrids. I would definately pass on this to someone else. It's easier to some across that defense belt 20AC 15 STR WIS that drops in ME. This will hold you till you can do better.

OMG you are insane my Rogue would need this the most!

Who cares!

All I want to know is who drops it???

If I had all 8 of your toons on the raid this dropped on which would I give it to? That is the questionn you have to ask yourself then you find the answer to what class it is best for for YOU!

Aye the newbs are the people defending this item saying everyone could use it, but the question is what class would benefit the MOST from this item. Enchanter would, hands down period case closed. Druids? bah go quad kite something, let me see here, hmm it takes a raid to get this item.....on a raid I want my enchanters to have tons of INT, MANA, and CHA, do I give a crap about some Druid's WIS? Hell no, go charge for ports or sows, quad kite some wyverns in CS and STFU already. GL to the chanter that wins this.

I agree with Vit on this one. This belt would benefit an enchanter more than any class. I'm not saying that it would be a stupid thing to give it to another class, but... For an enchanter both INT and CHA are very very important. Maxxing out your CHA as an enchanter is top priority, mez not sticking sucks. Concentrating this much INT and CHA in the Belt of all things frees up the other slots for resists. So no, this is not an enchanter only belt. But enchanters will get more use out of it than any class, hands down. And with the lack of good chanter gear out there this should go to the enchanter. All the other classes that would like this can go find better. Enchanters have very few belts better than this.

Good luck with that defense to the Clerics on your raid for this belt. As nice as the stats are for enchanters they rock for Clerics too. Just a thought.

Don't forget Bards, charisma is just as important to them as it is to enchanters. If not more so... Why is it more important u ask?..Well lets just say the bard is being used for crowd control.. With the bards mez only lasting 15seconds, he must have as little resisted mezzes as possible, if 2 gets resisted in the 15 second cycle, the bard is going to get behind in it (figuring he is keeping 4 mezzed). Hence it is crucial for the bard not to get resisted, an enchanter has much more opportunity (ie. time) to re-mez..

You forget though that the 10 intelligence and 50 mana an enchanter would put to use would be somewhat wasted on a bard.

Quote: an enchanter has much more opportunity (ie. time) to re-mez..

Have you ever played an enchanter? Having experience in this regard I must say this statement is very uninformed, and bordering on stupid. When an enchanter's mez is resited the first time you have to deal with a very angry mob beating the living daylights out of you. Ever heard "Your spell has been interrupted"? hmmmmm?
An enchanter's mez HAS to stick the first time with high end mobs, when it doesn't it all starts to get a bit hairy. It wouldn't be so bad if enchanters could say...wear plate armor like a certain class I know...Ooh Bards maybe? Not saying this is a bad bard belt. On the contrary itss a pretty good bard belt. But it's more than just good to an enchanter.

Well first i gotta say if u are getting hit like that the REST of the group isnt doing their job right either. Hey protect the chanter and clerics, they keep u alive. Ill be first to admit this is a wicked item for chanter, but i DO belive that bards should be second in line. The reason i say this is that at this level more and moe bard songs start soaking up mana, but we cant regen it except with aa or flowing thought. Even kei or mana songs dont work. as such having a bigger mana pool and intelligence to BOOST said mana pool would mean more mezzing and charms. Lets face it, at this level bards are very important for the resists they give, so they are around just as much as chanters. Id HATE to be the bard who didnt help the chanter mezz, saying Oh its his job, let the chanter do it.
Thats a good way to look for a wipe.
Id say chanters and bards should be looked to first, (mostly chanters, even tho i play a bard im no idiot, they ARE the better mezzers) then look to other pure casters, like wizzies mages, druids and clerics.

as for melee, well hey its not BAD for melee, but i think it would be a pretty selfish warrior that grabbed it and screwed the chanters and bards over.
RE: Hehe
# Feb 25 2002 at 3:32 PM Rating: Default
Well yah have an interesting point.. kinda.
What you fail to see is that charisma effects more than enchanters and selling.
Without charisma shaman's couldnt slow Druids couldnt snare (and other things)
The INT factor is not just good for INT casters.
INT is the prime stat for speacialization.

So actualy this would work for every class.

I know as a shaman i'd want it.

Druids wont find any use for this.
RE: vampire belt
# Feb 25 2002 at 12:33 PM Rating: Default
Yeah, Druids would hate this belt... 10ac, 10 wisdom, 50 mana. Why would any Druid want those things? Geez.. I hope you were being sarcastic Oldefrothing, because most Druids would give their left arm for this. Heck, I think any casting class would give their left arm for this!
Chanter?
# Feb 24 2002 at 7:49 PM Rating: Default
Yes a chanter would love this belt due to the INT and CHA, why would it not benefit a chanter? I am a chanter and see this as a very nice piece.
Chanter gear
# Feb 24 2002 at 7:02 PM Rating: Default
As was stated, this is an average good melee belt, and an uber caster belt.

I don't know what this drops off of, but I'm pretty sure it requires a guild raid to kill it. That said, the guild is going to assign this belt so that it benefits the guild the most. And the guild is going to be benefited most by giving this to an enchanter. The enchanter is going to use every stat except wis on a guild raid.

I know it sucks, but chanters do get preference for gear because they are the casters that stand up and take a beating.

Please explain to me how a chanter or bard would benefit more than a druid, wizard, necro, mage, hell even a cleric or shaman would? Because of the charisma? Don't think so bud try again...

I myself am a druid and while I would kill for this myself, It is best suited for those who would make better use of the stats i.e. a chanter or bard. Anybody else would not be utilizing the mana and cha prvided by this. And as for the other stats, they would help a chanter/bard just as they woud any other class: str, ac, etc

Man you are a real loser. Of course a chanter or bard would benifit more. You are a loser for flaming the person even though they said it would be great for all classes. An Enchanter and Bard both rely on Charisma as a secondary stat. No other class does exept to buy and sell. So... some one who benifit from from the extra 15 stat points would benifit more. Moron...
#StrungOut, Posted: Feb 23 2002 at 5:09 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This belt would be good for any class period you fools. Just because of Cha you think its for a chanter? You n00bs are never going to get items like this anyway so quit whining about what classes its for.

Sorry 10 ac 10 wis 25 hp 50 mana 15 save magic. Hmm why would an ench deserve this over a shaman, druid, or cleric? Be nice for other int casters too.

This belt rocks for all casters, int and wis alike. Even my level 51 ranger wouldn't wear this belt as a melee though. THe belt in ME is way to common and uber to waste this item on a melee except maybe a monk.
RE: Obviously an Enchanter Item
# Feb 27 2002 at 4:16 PM Rating: Default
Why should an enchanter get this? Hmm, maybe because they don't make any better belt for a chanter with this combination of stats, especially the HP/Int/Cha/Mana combination, and very few other thing as well? The only belt that comes close is the Strands of Power and it has 2 more ac, two more intel, 3 less cha and 50 hps but no mana. And no one seems to know even where that belt drops.

Mabye because I know from experience that most priest classes at least have as high if not higher AC/Wis/Hp stuff available, usually at a lower level. And any item at this level that probably takes a raid to get should go to the person that can use it the most. For this belt, that's chanter or bard.

Sorry if it sound ******* but if it went to anyone else...any chanter or any bard...I'd be walking, because I'd know the person leading that raid didn't appreciate the jobs either class did. And I can find better ways of wasting my time than that.

RE: Obviously an Enchanter Item
# Jun 07 2002 at 3:19 AM Rating: Default
I have got news for you. I dont think I have ever meet a 54 chanter with 255 CHA and INT buffed. Stats a bit over 200 I do see. It is hard to find item that have positive INT and CHA. For example Netted Kelp has INT and negative CHA. Alot of items are like this. And yes just because an item has CHA on it does not make it enchanter only. But add INT, mana, HPs, and AC and this belt becomes the best or second best in the game for the enchanter class. If you have premium service with Alla try sorting belts for enchanters by INT and CHA to see that this is true. Given that fact it is crazy to say an enchanter shouldn't or wouldn't role for this. As for which other classes get to roll that is up to the party.

Besides if you are right what stats would this enchanter with maxed out stats try for? One with HPs, AC, resists? I am sure the meele would howl if a caster rolled on a belt with just those stats.

Nice Belt
# Feb 22 2002 at 11:51 PM Rating: Decent
I agree with Zasiss. It is much better suited to casters; It is an amazing caster belt, and mediocre at best for a melee of that level. If you are capeable of getting this belt, you are easily capeable of getting a spider fur belt from Velketor's Labyrinth which has compareable 'melee' stats. You are also capeable of getting a 20ac 15str/15 wis from the Maiden's Eye; That belt is not a rare drop by any means. That is of course provided you don't use a haste belt, which many melees of that level do.

Definitely will have to convince guild to explore Umbral more. ;)
