Beastlord unusable *cry*
# May 09 2004 at 7:53 AM Rating: Decent
Awhile back, I had this equipped in my range slot, as a beastlord... when I died and was looting my corpse, it wouldn't let me equip it. I was like, "wtf," obviously. Apparently they changed it so it is no longer beastlord usable. I feedbacked it, but that was what seems like months ago, and still nothing. *shrug* What a bummer.
just a ?

#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 10 2003 at 8:37 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I was strollin thru UP to get my friend some elysian gear(his gear sucks)me and him come across zels corpse and no one is looting it =O.I look at his corpse and the tome is on it !! Definately a Monk item...

Seriously, this is good for any class that can use it. Every pure caster and hybrid needs more mana. Face it.
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 17 2003 at 6:23 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) lol Heres the thing... FT doesn't help anyone out on a raid in anyone's case. Anyone who wants mana can have it (Crack, BeastCrack, Pot9 those three alone are 35m/tick). So basically, from the guild as a whole's point of view, this is very true... however if any Hybrid actually left this in their Ranged, well then I'll have to come smack em.
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 08 2002 at 3:26 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Well, someone was going to claim it is a monk item. LMAO
Situationally good

A lot of the new items out of Umbral are what Verant likes to call "Situational" equipment. They want you to keep a ton of items on you at all times, and pull certain ones out for certain occasions. I assume they want us to use this one on med breaks ;)

Just a side note, this is currently the easiest-to-get FT item known.

And Breeze is 3 mana a tick, not 2 ;)

and I thought Earring of the Solstice was the easiest = )

Well this is very UNTRUE. For a caster yea it is nice for big mobs to have high max mana, but for normal grouping people rarity if ever are FM. SO the more FT u have the more mana u have, meaning I would rather have this in my 2ndy slot then something that gives 10wis/int + 100mana.

BTW the easiest FT item to get is Solstice, other eazy to get ones would include the following.

Wis & Int Caster
-Cogboggle's Clockwork Contraption (AC 2, Wis 4, Int 4, FT1) RANGE
-Boots of Flowing Slime (AC 7, HP 20, Mana 65, SvM 10, FT3) FEET
-Belt of Thunderous Auras (AC 7, HP 25, Mana 25, FT2) WAIST
-Choker of the Wretched (AC 8, Str 8, Cha 8, Wis 8, Int 8, HP 40, Mana 40, FT1) NECK

Int Casters Only
-Viscid Slime Gloves (AC 13, Str 8, Wis 8, Int 8, HP 50, Mana 50, SvF 4, SvD 4, SvC 4, SvM 4, SvP 4, FT4) HANDS

Yes the last 2 are a bit rare and would cost u much more due to rarity but knowing the right person and having cash would help :)

I know this isn't really the proper place to ask this but how much does the Cogboggle's Clockwork Contraption usually cost plz? I've tried looking it up in Baz and doing PC's but no one has any idea what I'm talking about :(
RE: Situationally good
# Mar 10 2003 at 12:02 AM Rating: Default
dunno how much it usually costs, or how much on other servers, but saw it for the first time a few days ago for 4kpp. Of course someone promptly bought it up and started selling it for nearly twice that, so who knows.
RE: Situationally good
# Apr 16 2003 at 7:33 AM Rating: Default
Lol only twice the amount?
I have the coggboggle's and had offers for up to 40kpp offered already. If anyone is stupid enough to offer 50k I'm going to take it and buy Boots of Flowing Slime (ft3) for 65k :p.

ps this is on the AB server.

A great item for anyone that uses mana and is included in the list oc compatible classes.
These should first go to those using only mana as means of combat and then the rest. And yes I'm a paladin saying this.

Perhaps, but when your class and mine is called into service on a small raid as MA or SA, we both use mana as a huge part of our taunt. So I pose the idea that the guild staging a battle to win this would decide based on the guild mix, and I would actually expect a shot at it.

When grouping as a paladin I find that my mana is often the most likely to run low. While chain pulling using pacify and stunning to hold agro, my mana slowly drains. Lately I've been using mod rods or beastlord crack to maintain enough mana to pull for a whole adventure without having to stop for a med break. So FT2 is really good for a class that never gets to sit down and med. I would wear this item in a heartbeat.

"Perhaps, but when your class and mine is called into service on a small raid as MA or SA, we both use mana as a huge part of our taunt"

Going along with this theme an item that included +20 STA should be offered to pure INT casters. Why? STA offers more HPs and although secondary to a caster, HPs help them survive. However, I think this might **** off the melee who attended an open raid and say an item like this carried off by a caster. I can see where you're coming from, but all things being equal FT items should go to pure casters first.
RE: Who gets what
# Sep 09 2002 at 5:17 PM Rating: Default
There are several pure casters in my guild who have maxed out INT or WIS and would have no problem giving up a range or hand slot for this. It's like a +mana item only better. I don't know why any guild would give this to a hybrid, though. They would only use it some of the time, mostly while they are soloing, I'd bet.

# Feb 24 2002 at 2:07 AM Rating: Default
not that I'd be soloing much when I could get this ('specially with no one ever saying "This should go to a druid")...this is nice for soloing, when there either isn't an Enchanter for miles...or I just don't want to run and find one...either way, I'd love to have this for medding...Breeze or Clarity, it's mana regen! and every little bit helps!
RE: ooooo
# Feb 25 2002 at 10:56 AM Rating: Good
This is good for all applicable classes, not just druids. FT stacks with all other regen and you can wear up to 15 pts worth of FT items.
RE: ooooo
# Jul 05 2002 at 8:48 AM Rating: Default
Wizards can increase their mana regen much sooner than druids...

That I'm aware of, druids get their first self-mana regen aid at 54...

So it does indeed take a druid in their early 50s with high wisdom 10+ minutes to regen mana.

Druids? Wizards?

You can port!
How hard is it to port to the loc of a 60 chanter, pay for a KEI and gate back to your hunting zone? I know a druid guildie who has not walked without KEI in months. Also practically has no downtime and he kites just about anything that doesn't summon.

(disclaimer: yes no kei after a death, but he's bound in the bazaar and for 100pp you can get a new KEI within 1 minute there)

(and 100pp is gotten in about 5-10 minutes in CS :) )
RE: ooooo
# Oct 07 2002 at 9:08 AM Rating: Default
hmmmm
100pp in 5 mins = 1.2kpp per hour ....
100pp in 10 mins = 600pp per hour ...
average = 900pp per hour ...

show me !!!o)))) I'd like to see it !

Is this effect clickable? And if so is it castable on others? Is it useable from inventory?

Flowing Thought is all perm. effect. That's why it says (Worn) on the pic. It also stacks with other FT items and all mana regen spells/songs. This is a nice item though...it's permanant Breeze! Woohoo :P

Nice item, though Pallies, Rangers and SK, along with some priest classes might swop this out in favour of an item with some AC and stats on, still a damn nice item though.
