This is not a faction to worry about, nothing in game is on

The bandits who lower it are on some other faction just like the firiona vie pirates who lower it are on pirates of gunthak (nothing to do with LOY though, go figure)

The way to raise those firiona vie pirates is to kill the water goblins in lake of ill omen.

So nothing in game actually has its own faction lowered, by fizzlethorpe. No is there any mob that raises it as far as anyone knows, nor is Fizzlethorpe even in the game.

So don't worry about it. If he is ever in the game as a god, you can pretty much be sure that Fizzlethorpe faction in the old world won't actually be his in the same way that pirates of gunthak is not really the faction of any NPCs in LOY. SOE for the most part has never had a faction which raises or lowers something non existant to either give you a bonus or minus much later.

The one case where they did was how the frog in Misty used to raise Iksar (non real faction) Swamp giants of kunark (non real faction) and sarnak (REAL FACTION! ;) ) In that case, when Kunark was finally released, my wood elf druid puzzled over why she was warmly to sarnak in lake of ill omen while everyone else was kos for the longest time ;) The next time post kunark that she killed the frog Slaythe in misty, he no longer raised those factions =/

She reaped the benefit by being able to Kill the head dizok guy in that Lake of Ill castle, for his Prod, easily from level 49 and up since none of the other sarnaks would add (since she was warmly) After she killed di'zok, the other sarnaks would in fact beat down his pet the next time it tried to hit her while she medded. It took until level 55, of semi constant dizok killing for the prod whenever she was there, for her faction to FINALLY go below dubious and for her to get kos (with a couple chardok raids also helping to bring it down)

Outside of that isolated incident, I know of no case where a faction comes around to help or ***** you later on. For example, even if you were super kos the kerren types in Stonebrunt, it has no effect on Vah shir faction in Luclin (nor does raising their faction in stonebrunt have any effect)

I can't say that this is or is not a faction to worry about, but there are mobs on it. In the Ocean of Tears for one is a mob, simply called a pirate, that spawns at loc pos 1005 by neg 8025 that when killed says your faction with Fizzlethorp was gotten worse.

Fizzlethorpe Factions

Ok. I have been those stupid bandits in gfay for about ever now and I have only one faction problem with them. Fizzlethorpe. So I wondered. Is there anything else out there I have to "worry" about because of this? I mean I kill many things and basically know what the future holds as far as how bad its going to get. I mean I kill pixies and have problems with Bixies. And in the future will have even worse faction with em`. So can anyone tell me what the creatures in the future of Fizzlethorpe are?
What about raising faction with Fizzlethorp?
# Mar 20 2003 at 5:36 PM Rating: Decent
Fizzlethorp Bristlebane is a god in the game. He is the deity of my halfling cleric. I have killed the bandits in gfay numerous times with my lvl 9 ranger and want to know if this is going to affect her later in the game. I see all the posts about how to lower it, I think we have that part figured out now. What about raising it? Any suggestions?
I have good faction with them

I was passing through Gfay with my human warrior recently and conned these three beauties and to my surprise, they were amiable! I never did anything to raise Fizzlethorpe faction, and they are always threatening or ready to attack any of my other characters that I have taken there. I think my deity choice (Rallos Zek) may be responsible. Anyone else con amiable (or better) to them?? Anyone know precisely why, I con amiable to them?

I have a half elf druid and was helping a friend kill these things. They coned amiably to my character, and indifferent to my friends woodelf warrior. Is this faction important for later on for my druid?

Personally, I think the bandit sisters in GFay aren't bandit sisters at all. I think it's the GFay red light district. I mean, if you're bandits, shouldn't you at least wear pants? Usually, two of them respawn pantsless. They also tend to have quite a bit of money on them, too...
Raising Faction
# Oct 26 2001 at 4:58 PM Rating: Decent
Okay, got the fake message out of the way. I will tell you a great way to lower Fizzlethorpe faction if you are a bard (why you don't want to later on). Camping the lady bandits in Greater Fay is a great way to raise your brass skill. Just put yourself right there in the middle, whip out that old brass horn, or whatever, and play Denon's Disruptive Dischord to your hearts content. This is a level 18 song, so the bandits won't give you too much trouble; I even left the computer running and did other stuff while I killed the bandits. Occasionally a higher level faerie, like a guard or some royalty comes by and they will aggro since this is an AoE song, so you can't be totally oblivious. I read this somewhere else and it is a great way, maybe the best way to raise your brass skill. However....one of the more popular gods of bards, and the one I chose, is.....you guessed it, Bristlebane, Fizzlethorpe Bristlebane. So now that my standing with the bandit wenches has gone from regarding me warmly ("my bed is warm, sweet bard") to scowls ("get lost, unemployed musician loser"), and I am guessing this means I killed hundreds of them, my Fizzlethorpe faction is pretty damn bad. Sigh. Looking for brilliant ideas about how to get back in good standing with the big guy, any ideas or suggestions would be most helpful. And no, I did not know back then that I was killing my faction, I did not in fact put 2 and 2 together until I kept getting single out by the pirates and buccaneers in OOT and someone explained to me just what I had done!! Help me please, oh help me please. Voce Asimeniesxordes, Bard of the 47th Circle, Terris Thule

They aren't talking about the god. They are talking about the faction. One way to lower it is to kill bandits in Greater Faydark.

You can also lower Fizzlethorp ( As far as I remember it didn't have the letter E on the end of it ) faction by killing the buccaneer on the Seafurbie island in OOT (near where Gornit spawns)
Steamfont?

Isn't there a guy that runs around the cogs in Steamfont called Forpa Fizzlethorpe???

I may be wrong, he hangs out at the back of the slaver caves - am I getting the name confused?

Uh... Bristlebane Fizzlethorpe is the God of Mischief. I don't think a bunch of orcs could get the best of a deity.
cons
# Oct 25 2000 at 12:52 PM Rating: Default
I killed bandits from 7 to 10 (3 full levels) and they *still* con amiable to me....
RE: cons
# Sep 01 2001 at 12:01 AM Rating: Default
i have killed my fair share of gfay bandits too, they still like me also, i think it is all a part of their master plan, since thieves in norrath never travel (which makes them lousy bandits if you ask me) they just pretent to like everybody that comes to their camps, you know act real hospitipal (sp) (you know the whole bit, give them a stout beer or some mead and some nice roasted wood elf parts) them when you are not lookin' they rob you blind....... just a thought....hhhhhhmmmmmm i think i've been on the computer too long tonight.....BRAIN FRY

anyway it is interesting that for whatever reason your faction never seems to go down with these bandits... i mean you must have to kill hundreds to get a noticable change... i've killed twenty odd of them just in my spare time and they are still loving me.....
RE: cons
# Aug 25 2002 at 1:15 PM Rating: Decent
ahhh hate to differ with you there ....they eiether changed that whole thing or you were lucky.

My level 6 wizard high Elf and a level 7 vah shir warrior were killing these last night in greater faydark. satarted with faction of indifferent. ended with threateningly. and only killed them 11 times the whle camp of them that is. so your faction can go down....mine did....Im just wondering here after reading Am I going to have to worry about the faction here with the darn GOD or with some Crazy guy in crushbone later?

Is there any way to fix fractioning with the King of Thieves? Yea I killed one too many Bandits, before I realised that I have angered my god. Some Bandits don't look to me too kindly. *sighs*
He's a God
# Jun 21 2000 at 4:02 PM Rating: Decent
His name is Bristlebane Fizzlethorpe. So far he is not yet been seen in-game, but if you follow Bristlebane I would NOT kill the bandits in greater faydark, just out of principle and not wanting to anger my god.
