Don't Need the Staff

The staff really isn't worth that much faction to make or break it. It only took me around 12 turn ins (at 8 each) to go from Dubious -> Warmly. Forage/farming the meat and leaves, crafting White Tea and Steaks, and turning everything in/waiting on respawns took me a little over an hour.

The staff gives you +700 faction which is the majority of the needed amount.

was doing this again with some friends for the Hero's Journey, having fun, but I sure hate Faction grinding... So decided to forgo the 4,3,4 combo and just turned in 80 (4 stacks of 20). Figured worse case scenario, he kept food and gave me no faction hits or simple give it back. But it worked quite well.

I'm having a weird issue where I hand in Taelosian Tea to 'a thirsting Yunjo' but they hand it right back to me. I've tried various combos to give to them but they never get accepted. I've done the Abysmal Sea quest and I'm up to date on BiC. I'm stuck, any suggestions?

Turn the Taelosian Tea into Taelosian White Tea, those worked for me when the regular ones didn't.

whats your faction with them
https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/faction.html?faction=379

You need to attain high kindly faction standing with the Yunjo Resistance to talk to the two slaves. The Taelosian Morphemic Staff (grants positive faction to Nihil and Yunjo Resistance) can go a long way toward helping you along here.

are you invised? floating? in illuision mode?

You might need talk to him 1st?

see step
37) FACTION: Faction will now become a concern again.

Dried Crab, Hynid, Cragbeast, Tuna all seem to work just the same as other items.

I flew through faction breaks using Dried stuff.

Forage + A mixing bowl helps tons because you can forage Hynid meat and Cragbeast meat, break it down and turn it in without moving.

18 lb hynid meat = 18 turn ins etc

Plus those two are the most common items asked for (that i've noticed).

Took me about 8-10 slaves with 4,3,4 turn ins to get high enough to use Faction staff to warmly.

I came with nothing on me, just bowl and forage. A friend loaned me some tuna, tea, crab, but i only had like 9 teas, 12 crab so not a whole lot. He gave me more tuna but few mobs asked for it.

NPCs you can kill to RAISE Yunjo Faction

Kyvs, masturqs and aneuks in the colosseum can be killed to raise Yunjo faction. Also named mobs in that are such as Officiator Keviazh and Dedgerex also raise Yunjo Slave faction. These same mobs lower Gladiators of Mata Muram faction. The nocs and golems do not raise Yunjo Slave faction when killed.
Alteration.

The slaves spawn as emaciated, starving, hungry, thirsty, and famished Yunjo. Based on their name, they take a different kind of food or drink.

The foods they take are anything made of Cragbeast, Hynid, Saltwater Crab, and Tuna. The thirsty ones take any kind of Taelosian Tea. While the lowest skill combine to create food they will accept is around 30 baking skill, note that the higher the skill it takes to make the food that you give them, the better the faction gain is. For an example:

I handed in about 40 dried cragbeast or dried hynid meats (just put meat in mixing bowl and hit combine). Result? Still dubious.

I then took about an hour and made a bunch of Lemon-Buttered Hynid Steaks, Lemon-Buttered Cragbeast Steaks, Lemon-Buttered Tuna Rolls, and Lemon-Buttered Crab Rolls. All of those have a final combine skill of 180+, though I did it at 135 (actually gained 10 points in skill; have 145 now).

EDIT:
Forgot to mention that I also made tea! Ten doses of Green Taelosian Ginseng Tea, to be precise. Combine skill of 165ish, I couldn't find the components to make more than that, nor anything better.

When handing in, hand in four the first time (unstacked), three the second time, and four the third time. The Yunjo will despawn and a new one will spawn in its place, randomly chosen from all possible Yunjo at that place. I got lucky; I got a Starving, a Hungry, a Starving, a Thirsty, and a Famished.

Handing in a half stack of each, and another stack of dried meat, got me to Indifferent. Equipping my Taelosian Morphemic Staff gets me to Warmly, so I'm set.
