OK, so this is the Oracle's faction. A pally needs to be indiff. or better. BUT this site has NO possible links or how's to a achieve a faction upgrade........Hats off Sony, your consistency of muffing is amazing )

See the Tome of Ages link under "Quests you can do to raise the faction:" above. That's the only known way to raise the faction, and we do list it.

I con apprehensive to the Oracle, and when I hail him he says "Your reputation preceeds you. You are no friend to the dark bargainers".
So, in essence, if your apprehensive to him there is no way to raise this faction, becuase you can't receive a quest to do the quest to raise it.
So, the link above that you mention seems to be of no use, because I can't get the dialogue to start it the quest for the book of ages.
So the above poster in which you respond to is right - SoE's thinking is kinda screwed.
Guess I might as well scrap any ideas of getting my epic.

I verified this text. I think it is a coding mistake, as the Oracle is not tied to Dark Barganiers.
actually all you have to do is give the book. start the trade to open the dialogs; have someone invis you then give the book; or four books at a time until can do it without the invis; did this with the batwing quest in Felwithe.
