Been camping this ******* for months now. He never seems to spawn. Tried clearing the castle for a while. That didn't help. Not sure what Verant was thinking when they invented this stupid MoB. I've heard of him spawning and being killed, but everyone who does manage to kill him doesn't know what the ashes are for and destroys them. Then if you are looking for him, he will not spawn for you. /rude Verant. Yet another quest I will never be able to finish now.

We popped him today after killing the lvl 58 Vamp. Valdanov is in a class of his own. We were trying to get the ashes for the shield/back item quest in katta. we had a 60 cleric, 60 pally, 58 war, myself (59 ranger), 55 war, 56 monk, 54 chanter, and 52 cleric. He is not a mob to take into battle lightly, he is not very MR, chanter slowed him easily, he does NOT summon even though he is lvl 62, we fought him for at least 10 minutes and only got him to 89% health before we all died. I'm guessing he has at least 75k+hp, he hits for 370's, flurrys alot and procs a 1000dmg Lifetap. He is nasty, would take a good size raid party for him, 1 group of 60's might be able to take him but I sincerely doubt it. I think he is a necro mob, not sure but was casting alot of necro type dots, mayb SK. Tough Mob and GL to any who try him, be curious what he drops besides ashes) Oh yeah as far as melee goes he can only be hit by bane damage weapons against Vampyres, immune to all other melee)

Made him spawn today in TM. Myself (60 shaman) killed all the named vamps except the one on the first floor. This pretty much proves he is a random spawn and not triggered. Heraltus popped on the balcony outside. I grabbed a 60 ranger nearby because he is too hard to solo. After we killed the rare pop Heraltus, Valdanov Zevfeer himself spawned on the roof. We rustled up a 60 cleric, another 60 shaman, 60 rogue, and a 60 wizard pretty quickly and engaged him. He cons yellow to 60 btw.
His proc was a 1000 pt lifetap and I believe his class is a Shadowknight but I do not recall anyone getting harm touched. We soon realized after getting him down 1 bubble of life, and the cleric down to 40 mana we didn't have what it took to kill him and evac'd out.
Details about the battle:
He was immune to all weapons. You will need to use bane weapons to fight him, some are sold in Katta. He was not very magic resistant, I landed slows on him with no resists and was able to malo, cripple as well. The wiz's nukes landed also.
I believe he could be taken with one group of the right classes, mainly an uber geared tank and plenty of damage classes assisting.

Apparently he involves the quest that phenic dionicas gives which involves tracking down the defilers, rumor has is that it gives a 50 ac 15str 15wis shield, cant confirm though.

Then tell me why has nobody found him? He sure isn't in Tenebrous Mountains either.

He's one of the named vampires in the vampire castle in Tenebrous Mountains.
