You will also lower your faction if you kill Snowbeast in Stonebrunt.

wolf form KOS

I was KOS in wolf form, and dubious without wolf. That explains why I get attacked by kejekans repeatedly while hunting pandas as a wolf. I am surprised I'm not KOS even without wolf after all the faction hits I've taken.

Cherries for Miranda quest
# Sep 10 2002 at 5:04 AM Rating: Decent
I just finished this quest and you do get some nice experience and faction boosts AND a very nice stat food,a bag of catnip with +5Wis(unfortunately it nicks some of your strength -3,but that's not hard to overcome with a buff). Because this is a stat food you get the Wisdom boost if you put the catnip in your first inventory slot. That way you don't lose an equiptment slot that might hold something else you need. Just be careful not to consume it because you've forgotten it's there. Remember to force feed yourself periodically.
As for doing this quest,it does take time. The cherries have to be foraged on Sisters of Erollisi Island. The brownies(the lower level ones)spawn infrequently during the day in Greater Faydark. There are plenty more, but much higher level brownies in Lesser Faydark and they are all killers. Don't laugh. To kill Less Fay brownies you better be 40+ with a nice magic resistance number. But the GFay brownies are level 3 and almost always drop brownie parts. GFay being the misty-to-dark forest that it is, having Track is godsend. Get a druid or ranger friend to help you, but it's a long wait for these shy little creatures to pop. They've been massacred by the bakers in the game, none of whom want to mix it up with the LessFay brownies. I hear there are also brownies in Steamfont that are killable and there's Nillipus in Rivervale. So now that you have cherries and brownie parts you need a baking skill of 126 (or thereabouts...EQTraders is THE source for all tradeskill info. It's just the best. Go there for a mind-boggling tour of EQ's tradeskill world). So let's see. You've got your chocolate cherries now you just have to locate Miranda. She's a sweet little girl kitten standing under the pinetree in Kejek City. Getting there is a nightmare (at least it was for me) God, the Warrens is a miserable place(at least for this level 24 Druid it was.) After dying terribly in the Muglewump pool the only way I got to Stonebrunt was through the kindness of a brilliant cleric who summoned my drowned corpse, rezzed me and then,MY HERO,guided me through that wretched maze. Whatta guy! He asked please not to have his name mentioned to avoid the avalanche of tells he'd be getting for his help. Then there's the fun of huge, precipitous Stonebrunt. If the Kobolds, tigers, gorillas don't get you the 100 foot drops will. So just invis, levitate and go. It's a nice reward, and most of you are probably more intrepid than I am, so none of this will faze you.

RAISING FACTION
# Jul 18 2002 at 6:10 AM Rating: Good
There is MORE than one way to, pardon the pun, skin a cat in this situation.

There are a FEW quests NOT listed that will raise faction.

First, Hail Miranda. Everyone knows about the bone dice, but there is another quest called "Chocolate Covered Cherries".

This is a deep quest. You must head to OOT and forage for Marr Cherries. Then you have to beat up brownies whereever they spawn and get Brownie parts so you can make "winter chocolate".

The complete quest information is at:
http://www.eqtraders.com/quests/stonebrunt_cherries.htm

There are also elaborate quests that result in faction throughout the quest. For instace, this is my favorite way to get faction, a part of the Spirit Aid quest.

The part where you give the oak shaft and Large brick of HQ ore to Emylie Steelclaws will give you the faction hits youre looking for.

Problem is, its EXPENSIVE, AND you need at least a 27th level skill in smithing. You must find a vendor that sells HQ ore (Bazaar, High Keep, Kaladim, Permafrost [rare drop off goblins], Qeynos, Runnyeye [drop], Sol A [drop])..

To make a HQ brick, you need 3 small hq bricks.. To buy them was 6pp each or so, and to buy a hq bick was 20pp.. At any rate, this is the quickest way i could find to raise faction, so i stuck with it.

Once you give to Emylie Steelclaws, you will get a kejekan smithy hammer. Its lore, and i belive no drop.

I did this quite a few times, combined with the fact ive done the spiritling quest quite a few times also, and the bone dice. Id have to say ive taken (from dubious) 40-50 faction hits.

I am happy to announce a special circumstance with Kejakan village faction... there are "levels" of dubious. when i first started factioning, upon hailing specific quest NPCs, they would tell me about how ive offended the Gods..

Well, after some trick factioning (getting people to charm quest npcs) i was able to do quests on my own, and im still dubious. As you gain faction points, you progress towards being able to do quests. Again, for instance, i was at one point only able to talk to the wak quest bag giver, but not the kobold head quest giving npc, but after some more faction, i can initate and do any quests, but not sell. needing apprehensive only thing affects selling, but amount of faction points affect questing ability.

ALSO: INVIS TRADING DOES STILL WORK. If you give an NPC an item, then have someone invis you, IT WILL WORK. As an SK, since after the most recent invis trading nerf, i asked about the fate of this. NO ONE would give me a straight answer, but youre hearing it from someone who has been able to work on their faction from dubious in stonebrunt. Give - Invis - Trade DOES WORK. You cannot hand anyone anthing IF ALREADY invised. it must happen in the order i mentioned.

NOTES: THERE IS NOTHING you can kill to raise your faction. You can lower it as much as you want, but there isn't really an easy out. For KOS DARKIES - I'd suggest the following: Grab an Enchanter or a Bard that can mez a level 35 Mob (SteelClaws). WHen i did this, i pulled the cat out of the village for the mez, but i was level 49 at the time, and it may have been unnecessary, as they are low and may not aggro the caster within the hut in the village if the caster can easily mez. At this point, the cat will con indiff due to pet status. Then do the ore/shaft quest. Expensive, but worth it if you've gone this far.

Faction and Invis
# Nov 28 2001 at 4:35 PM Rating: Default
Well I gave Miranda her dice and nothing. My guild mate was indifferent to her (a Barb Shaman) and got the ball of yarn, faction and exp.

Now when I was invis, I was listed as indifferent when I conned the cats, so try getting someone to invis you with the trade window open and then give the item. I am going to try again later in the week. Would like to get my faction to apprehensive before the expansion pack comes out.

The cats don't mind invis and PC type illusions (gnome, etc) it seems after my experience.

I read at EQMaps that killing the Snowbeast makes a Big Faction hit at Kejekans. Change from Indiff to threatingly. Anyone can confirm that?? I wanted to group up and kill The Snowbeast with a few friends for my 36 Monk. Footpads of the Tiger rocks :-) but dont want to lower Faction with Kejekans :-(
RE: Snowbeast
# Nov 28 2001 at 2:43 PM Rating: Default
All the Titans are on the Kejekan Faction (Kejekan Village). If you raise it with Kejekan, you raise it with the Titans like Snowbeast. So I'm pretty sure that killing a Titan would ***** your faction with the village.
Oops

Well dont know if this will help but when i started here i was indifferent to all in the city. But started hunting and being the druid i am i of course was in wolf form. While medding in the forest area i was attaked by a wandering Kejekan. I defended my self and with just one kill em now KOS. Tried the high quality ore and shaft quest but no good. Was inised when doing it by the way so dont think there is a way to raise faction once you get to far down.

You would think that killing the Kobolds and Heretics would give you + to the kitty faction.

I even sent an e-mail to Verant CS with the question "Are there going to be any changes to the faction hits for the Kobolds in Stonebrunt mountains to raise faction with the Kejekans?"

Response.. "If there is a problem, contact your GMs or Guides."

DUH!
Faction stay put

I just gave Miranda the bag of bone dice I lootet from the prince. She took it and gave me the same message like when I hail her. I am dubious btw. no exp, no ball of yarn, no faction whatsoever.

Faction Up
# Sep 29 2001 at 4:28 PM Rating: Decent
I think it might be worth giving Emylie (near the forge) a Large Brick of High Quality Ore and an Oak Shaft. See if she gives you the hammer regardless of your faction and/or whether your faction raises. If that works, then load up on these items and keep trading them until you are at least indifferent.
No way to raise faction.
# Sep 25 2001 at 7:22 PM Rating: Excellent
The is no way to raise faction in kejekan village if you are too low to do quests. Quests are the only way to raise it. This is an attempt by verant to make the quests here specific to certain races/classes in an attempt to encourage roleplaying, I guess... Though I don't have any interest in beating up on kitties. I like cats. I have a cat. Her name is Tess. She hates me. That aside, this is one of Verant/Sony's less intelligent ideas, and heaven knows they have few enough of them...

Verant Employee -- Wha-? A haste sash?

Developer -- Yes. Same as FBSS, with some ac and stats.

Verant Employee -- Dr00d ph@R/\/\@ble?

Developer -- Of course. But only until level 35.

Verant Employee (after a long, long line, and a puff from his cigar sized bong) -- ...Works for me bro...

Were you in wolf form? Kitties don't like wolves - or illusions of any kind. As an Erudite follower of the dark arts I'm only dubious to them, I sincerely doubt that a druid would be worse, unless you've been hunting Kejeks.
Peacekeeper?
# Sep 05 2001 at 4:50 PM Rating: Default
Has anyone checked to see if doing the Peacekeeper Quests raises faction with the kejek village? Seems like most of the Kejek quests affect peacekeepers so...
sadly no...
# Sep 14 2001 at 10:13 AM Rating: Decent
Peacekeeper does not affect Kejek faction... either you gain faction hits for Peacekeepers, High Guard of Erudin, High Council of Erudin, Merchants of Erudin, and sometimes (depending on which quests/mobs killed) hits against The Heretics. Of course, I did not attempt to kill a peacekeeper in the city. I would doubt it, but if anyone has killed a Peacekeeper, hopefully they'll post below.
